      ​@@bobberry1463 Well nowadays, TV's are relatively inexpensive. This episode was probably 10 or more years ago. But even if this case happened today, the guy still had garbage credit and only paid $100 in a year and a half. So he wouldn't even be able to afford today's prices.

    If your credit is so screwed up that you can't even qualify for a Walmart credit card, you don't need a 60-inch TV. What you need to do is clean up your credit. And you sure don't need to be borrowing off of somebody else because that's just living above your means.

    My experience in court is even if you win, you don’t always get the money. I followed up and years later, we still haven’t seen a penny.

      What you have to do is get papers to sue again, hire sheriff's dept to deliver the document(s) & go again. Bonus if you can put a lien on their house with yearly interest.
      I think this is how it works.

      @@markgalgano8649 I just paid to sue someone (contractor) for the first time in small claims court and the court date hasn't come up yet but I'm going to ask the judge if there's a fee to garnish wages if the losing party doesn't pay - I'm interested in knowing how judgments get paid also.

    Is 2024, we should all know by now that if someone has bad credit you don't help them out because there's a reason why they were declined. Also, I'm over people who owe money crying about getting harassed. If you pay what you owe then so call harassment (aka i want my money) can be avoided.

      This case was a few years ago. not recently. And he was declined due to no good credit history. And when he gets SSDI, they will not extend credit to SSDI people.

      THAT is not the response of regret.

    If Walmart turns you down for financing a tv then you really have shitty credit. So it’s not surprising the defendant isn’t paying back. He doesn’t pay back anything.

      @@trekgirl65 It's a figurative term, not literal. Getting a loan is kinda like renting money, you're using someone else's money to get something you can't afford to buy, then you make payments to them. It's rarely a smart thing to do.

    I cringed a bit when Doug asked about the glove on the plaintiff's hand. What if he had some skin disorder, severely burned or disease that prompted him to wear a glove. Seemed a little insensitive to ask. Kinda like asking someone, "why do you have that patch on your eye"?
    Fortunately, it was something minor the plaintiff didn't mind discussing.

    I only use my credit to help someone out in emergency- food, clothes, medicine, doctor's bill, funeral expenses etc; If, you need entertainment ask someone else🙏🏿

    the disability denial sucks, if its true. i've had two family members apply for disability and it took forever. one didn't get approved until after he died.

    I gave out loans (with interest), no problem, as long as they brought collateral worth twice the amount of the loan. Thats how you weed out the non payers, they either have nothing, or choose not to put up collateral on a stiffin job. Win win.😉
