It's not easy. I would say it's impossible. I don't think bjp will get that many seats. People have internet. And today on the internet we see topics like dictatorship, its last election etc.. are trending and people believe this is gonna happen. I don't understand how people believe this shit and don't do research and blindly believe these politicians but it matters and more people will vote for indi alliance. To save so-called democracy.
@@astranger626 I don't believe the narrative spread by so called INDI alliance (& some people in media) that democracy is in threat, Desh ko bachao etc. INDI alliance in its current form is a bunch of corrupt self interest driven politicians and some of them are goons who are gathered together in self-interest & save their corrupt party. We do need a constructive, progressive minded opposition but INDI alliance in its current form is a waste (with all their top leaders, their agenda, manifesto and their proxies). Hence BJP is getting stronger. I feel BJP in its current form is on the right track for building the country (Economy, trying to bring more manufacturing in the country - be it Defence, Railways, Semiconductors, Mobile, Vehicles etc. promoting various sectors). Hence it is looking for more power to bring about some major reforms in employment, National security etc. by going for 2/3rd majority. I have a feeling they will come close to 350-360 range.

Many times I am at a loss to understand the philosophy behind NOTA. Well, if you are disappointed/ disgusted with all the parties and their candidates, stay home and ignore the process. You are free to be in the grip of your own EGO ( even for valid reasons) and rest content.
Expecting cent percent honesty in politics is a wishful dream. People in high places need to be above board but none is entirely so.

I hear you.. its not reasonable to expect full honesty from politicians.but NOTA is a way to let it be known, that" i want to elect someone, but none of you is good enough".. its upto the thinking, proactive politician to look at the NOTA % and do something (or not) about it. If they skip going to the polling booth, some one may use the vote, say for a tmc or a dmk goon...

I think Anand's application of "purity standards" for politicians is a little childish. A government that works is all that we require, and I've lived long enough and seen enough governments to appreciate what the BJP is doing right now.

I don't think nota voter is a loser, because if nota vote is cast by a huge number of voters then, I think, election commission has to rethink about the election procedure, and may be there would be a change, which is good. But I would like to reiterate that, a huge number of people should cast for nota vote, which will project a lasting impact..

I believe the second layer and third layer that you mention are not happening because somehow politics in general and BJP in particular are averse to intellect, analytical mindset and knowledge. Dear Anand, You don't always have to put BJP down to prove that you are unbiased, I too accept BJP was wrong in withdrawing Farm Laws(but it was to stop Khalistani resurgence). But Modi ji is mix of Patriot & Politics, that's how he keep doing Nationalistic work which irk the whole left lobby & still able to garner votes.

Election means voting for the available best, voting for NOTA means voting for the available worst. Every political outfit or candidate are wrong in a way but you have to choose one of them who's better than others.
Campaigning for 400 seats is not necessary:- it's a wrong fact. People watch, think and realise but vote for those who are connected with the public. BJP'S campaign slogan 400 paar is not overconfidence but the reflection of ground work they do. Sangh and Hindutva groups working hard dau and night to achieve the goal. Last time when BJP called for 300 paar everyone said it's overconfidence but the result says the reality. Over confidence is when you work good but don't campaign and think people will vote for you. In Odisha even after Modi storm BJP candidate lost because they failed to connect people.

No l don't agree with you at all. It's not mandatory to choose who is BETTER than other, other wise we won't have NOTA option which is constitutional. We r totally free, to register our voice and convey it in the voting. The fact that it has been incorporated in the voting paper itself justify ur opinion is also important. We follow democracy.
