I’d like to suggest magic circle to begin. Doing the chain to begin my tail did not tighten anything but a knot! Also, you can double crochet the first step off the circle chain two so the post looks in line with the rest later. Thank so much for this beautiful snowflake!! It’s nice to have the 3D look! ❤️❤️
