My dad’s bestfriend was killed by a drunk driver back in the early 90s.
There is absolutely no reason anyone should ever drive while intoxicated.
I’ve been around a lot of people throughout my life who have, or have attempted to, drive while intoxicated, and it’s really funny (in a sad way) to me how they always say “I’ll be fine! Don’t worry!” when someone tries to tell them it’s a bad idea.
It’s not about YOU and if YOU “know” YOU will be okay - you’re making a decision you know is dangerous and all you’re thinking about is yourself?

      @BubblemouseM ปีที่แล้ว +1

I’m saying all that, pertaining to this particular woman - Amanda, she seems like she knows how to avoid a DWI better than most people.
I’m not saying she’s “clever” or saying anything positive about her at all - she’s a scumbag who could have killed people - but the fact she knew to
      1. Deny the breathalyser
      2. Asked for her lawyer and became disruptive once at the hospital (therefor prolonging the blood draw)
That does show she knew what she was doing, to some capacity.
Prolonging the blood draw means that by the time they get around to finally taking blood, and analysing it, her blood will have processed alot of the alcohol (and medication dependant on half-life) and therefor it will show up, Ofcourse, as less alcohol in her blood than when they’d first initially pulled her over.

@@TheAwesomes2104 even so, they'd be a special type of the "I'm not drunk" type.
Cause I won't lie, I can kinda sorta be that person. Like I'll know that I'm tipsy, but ignore my limits occasionally lol. Difference is, I'd never drive. Wayyyyy too scary and dangerous (to others and myself).
Weirdest places I've woke up has been pretty tame, especially cause I'm a homebody. Last winter I was drinking around a fire while visiting parents. Started with a mixed drink, I finished all the Jameson (pickleback shots), some beer, and a bottle of wine. I don't remember when I fell asleep, I blacked tf out. My parents found me passed out on the ground holding the bottle of wine lol. Sleeping on the ground gave me a rash on my arm that lasted for weeks. When they finally were able to wake me up, I realized I was mf cold. I kept saying "I'm so cold." Still drunk asf, couldn't get my socks off. It's not often I get to that point.
This past October I was drinking with my sis and her gf. Woke up to some white girl wasted videos. Do not recall any of the moments filmed lol. Drank all night into the morning, around 11 am we were yelling *JOES BBQ FOOT MASSAGE* amongst other really stupid shit. In half the videos Im slumped over on my side in a seat, I was either tired or too drunk n lazy to sit upright. I feel bad for any sober people (or drunk for that matter) who have to deal with our shenanigans.
I really only overindulge like that when I'm at home. I'm too paranoid to get that wasted in public.
*Sorry for the rant, I'm just reevaluating my decisions lol

Hey Boze idk if u read the comments, but I was wondering if you'd ever heard of a murder case that happened in Montreal Canada a few years ago? U might find it interesting if u can find stuff on it, but I'll give u the basics (if u happen to read this). Around 2015 I think, this elderly couple's duplex unit caught on fire. After the fire department comes to take care of it, an investigation starts to determine what caused it and they found out it was deliberate. The whole case then had to be deemed a homicide bc the wife died (not sure whether it was from the fire or not). They later find out that the husband started the fire. This was rly devastating within the community as many people knew this couple, their kids, grandkids (one of their daughter's is an elementary school teacher, she was my second grade Hebrew teacher) and many ppl were able to say that nothing ever seemed off abt the husband; they were married for decades and seemed quite happy. The husband had a psychiatric evaluation, but idk if they determined more was going on with him besides his dementia. He died a few years ago now.

(I think I watched the coverage of the case through a channel called "The Misery Machine" on YT but I could be wrong, it may have even been featured on the channel "That Chapter" or "Kendall rae")
I'd love to hear Boze's insight on the case as a whole and on dementia, especially since dementia can be so extremely debilitating on ones mind.
I was actually having a chat with my partner after I had watched the full coverage of the case and he told me about a situation that happened with his Aunt & a nurse from the nursing home she was at. He explained how his Aunt declined so quickly due to having dementia and she lashed out at a nurse to the point that the nurse had to be hospitalised. I really hope that more people can learn about all of the effects that Dementia & Alzheimer's can put someone through, I also think it would be amazing if more people knew what to look out for besides just the loss of memory.
I hope I haven't said anything offensive or anything that's a bit out of line, I'm not a medical professional so I've just tried my hardest to put my thoughts into a semi readable comment.
Anyways I hope Boze sees your comment and will hopefully look into the case so she can give us her opinions; And I also hope you're having an amazing Morning, Afternoon or Evening whenever you get to read this comment 🧡

He kinda just looks at us with that “bullshit” look but he moved on to the father in law to talk with them about an upcoming meet date. The moment that PO left I looked at my cousin and said “I’d like to go home now.” and we wasted no time getting the fuck out of there. No one got in trouble as far as I know but I’ve been cautious as fuck about going over there again. That was my first instance ever knowingly lying to a cops face while blatantly under the influence. As someone who lives in a country that doesn't make the police put people through a "physical" test to see if the driver they've pulled over is intoxicated (where I live they don't even make you get out of the car, the police here have hand held breathalyser tests and if you pass you just drive on off)
So I've always found it super interesting watching the police body cams in the US especially when they do the sobriety testing.

I used to work in registration for an ER from 8pm to 8am in michigan and when legal blood draws came in it was always a nightmare. Because, the cop had to usually get a warrant for said blood draw because they would not consent to it and waiting for the warrant sucked because they would have to be there longer and sometimes they'd have to be held down to take the blood.

When im drunk at house parties i start cleaning up the cans and bottles, refreshing the drink on the table, mopping spillages, holding back hair, finding people places to nap. I dont think being drunk is ever an excuse for poor behaviour. The most crazy i can be is just hyper and bubbly, clingy and lovey, or like cry or something. You won't ever see me like that.

Insisting on the bloodtest is probably one of the least dumb things she did. Because the more time passes the better the result for her. But in her case she should be hoping for a 138 car pile up and that they don't have time to draw her blood for the coming 36 hours. Considering she is still walking (sort of) upright probably means she is used to being wasted.
