Not sure how she ended up in the PNW. But at some point someone did a bad remodel on her. The layout in the original plans we found on board was so much better.
The engines were brand new when installed and there was a guy who did preventive maintenance on the engines and ran them ever so often so they were in good shape but we did have an engine alarm that went off for like 14 days straight.
If the money is there and the conditions are safe we are able to delivery anything you can contact david@davidstovall.com to talk about details and see if we can get your boat moved for you!
At 14 mins in, so disregard if you answer in the video boss. But do you think or feel this could be a viable way for a fellow to make money while cruising with a family? I mean in order to pay the bills, food, maintenance etc.. you think it could be done? My wife and I are not minimalist, but we are not extravagant either. Kinda middle of the road.
If you have a Captains license and are hired as a captain you are paid much more than the crew so it would be possible to make a living doing this,,, IF you had a few yacht brokers that hired you regularly. The main issue is there is a lot of competition for this work depending on the region or there just aren't a lot of deliveries to be had, also depending on the region. For instance if someone lives in Florida there is so much boat traffic up and down the east coast and in the Caribbean that it might be possible to stay busy as a delivery captain but again you would need a network to keep it steady.
If I may offer an advice about how you handle the camera, when you pan (going left to right or the other way) try to plan ahead what you want to show and then, move the camera s-l-o-w-l-y in only one direction. It will greatly improve the quality of your videos. Have a look at the TH-cam channel "Life is like sailing" for a good example of quality videos. Thank you for your interesting videos, specialy those documenting the improvements you do on your sailboat.
If I saw right, it was 3,7 something/gallon for the diesel. That's pretty much $1 Liter?? If so, it exactly half the price we pay in Norway. Fair winds ,,,/),,,,
@@SailorJames Ha ha, yes, that's way you see so many el.cars in Norway. No, but I think we have one of the highest tax in the world on things like "are bad for you, or the enviroment" Gasoline, tobaco, sugger, alcohol ex
@@SailorJames I done a 3 month course for a career in the merchant navy and failed the eng1 due to colour blindness.I desperately want to have a career at sea so if this is the case then this provides me a little hope. I am also interested in sailing the world like you have.
Enjoy your video however, you tend to pan way too fast making ti uncomfortable to view. Slow it down so viewers can see what you are trying to show. Give us a chance to also enjoy the views.Thank you. Fair Winds.
It's cool that you get to experience both worlds. Sail for fun, power yacht for work. Not to shabby of a lifestyle!
:)
This should prove to be a pretty cool series! You guys are starting to blow up. Hope to see you hit 100k subs fast.
Your older material & I love it!
Should have stopped by. My mooring is right there at the locks. As a first time Seattle visitor you got all of the landmarks perfect.
Camille's sister lives in Seattle and she has spent a lot of time there, wonderful city!
thanks friends

Thank You for your videos

20:45 That's hilarious: "Better Caul Saul, sailor edition"

Awesome video...How did the boat get to the west coast from Italy?... Atlantic/ Panama Canal?

James how do you prepare to fire up the engines after 10 years or were they being maintained during it's off the water non useage?
The engines were brand new when installed and there was a guy who did preventive maintenance on the engines and ran them ever so often so they were in good shape but we did have an engine alarm that went off for like 14 days straight.
Are your team able to deliver a 125ft 338 tons from Athens, Greece to Houston, Texas

@@SailorJames thanks boss, I see how it could work in some areas and not others 👍👊 coffees on me, if ever we meet.
Charter boat companies need boats deadheaded at times, I am pretty sure they hire licensed captains...

Washington state has insane fuel taxes no income tax though
@@scott.wallace8625 I meant that we pay double of that in Norway.
approx $7,6 gallon we pay....
That is crazy!!! we should count ourselves lucky!

A good video, but slowing down on the panning shots would make it even better.
I wish I could improve my English writing to be able to put a comment in so few words.
etejour courage amigo capetin James en cemmlle Nice 😍😙⛵💑🌴🎊💐
Wouldn’t it be considered inappropriate for staff to be sleeping in the guest cabin?
Professional delivery crews are not “Yacht Staff” we sleep where ever we want or the boat doesn’t get home
Are you allowed to do yacht delivery if you are colour blind?
There is no authority that says you can or can’t

Scarface Boat 😂😂😂👍👍👍
Did anyone notice that they had to pay 3000 dollars for fuel
$12,000 in fuel for the total passage !!!!
Try slowing down your panning. You go by some interesting places and things too fast.
