Thanks for posting this video, the boat handled the winds and seas with ease, I must say I'm glad the ice didn't build up any more. My wife and I are waiting for sea trial, mechanical survey, and closing for our 2006 Nordic 37 in April. The video and narration was just awesome, I appreciate the effort you put forward to share with everyone, it certainly made my day.
Congrats and thank you for your kind comment. I don't think you could go wrong with one of these. An easy boat to live with, well built and engineered.
Agree, but since I was exporting the vessel from Canada and importing it to the USA there are some limitations. I work very hard to be worthy of the trust of both parties to protect their interests. I do not let the boat out of my sight until both parties are satisfied. That said, some company would be nice!
Impressive and brave in that temp.! I enjoyed your journey. Thank you. It's funny you filmed the victory tug Contessa, I've been actively fantasizing about buying her!
Best thing I liked about my tub was the general lack of stress at the helm. Let's say I spotted a floating log, plenty of time to avoid such occurrences.
@@boattguyafloat I know a guy who ran a 45m expedition yacht around the world at 10 knots. Nothing wrong with 10 knots. Sure 20+ knots is nice when you need to get somewhere but otherwise it’s just more problems.
Very interesting seeing the passage down the strait with current opposing the wind and subzero temps. I cringed during those moments when you opened the port door to video the ice build up. If you had lost your handhold and gone overboard in those conditions, there would have likely been an entirely different outcome for the boat and you. IMO, single-handing in open waters, regardless of the conditions, requires taking the utmost in precaution to avoid any chance of going overboard. Please be more cautious when you are single-handing. The risk you exposed yourself to isn’t worth the reward of getting better video.
good points. I made it successfully several times from Vancouver to Cabo return on small yachts, I was in no danger of going over, I have a strong self preservation instinct!

Thanks for the "ice fog" shots and commentary. I've not seen that phenomena before.
hey! Yes I was getting that feeling things were going to get a bit sporty...
Nice trip on a frigid day. If I were the new owner, I'd make sure I was with you to enjoy the adventure. Love the dock walk too.

Nice job Graham!

Nice cruise from Canada! I was hoping for a quick walk through to see the interior.
the link to the sale video is in the description section under the video window- a full walk through.
Great Video. Any time you need a deckhand let me know ! I work cheap!
but you have to endure my sense of humour...

Sarcasm runs deep and wide, boys.😂
With outside temps being so low and the wind blowing how comfortable was the interior of the boat? What interior
temperature did you maintain?
Boat has an Espar D5 Air furnace and it was able to keep things warm. 68 deg f
I would pay to go on a delivery with you!!!!!
thanks! its not always a cakewalk with a pub-crawl but I try real hard...
Do the windows always fog up during bad/cold weather?
well it was 10 degrees below freezing plus wind chill. Normally it isn't an issue...
what's the top speed and fuel range?
she did 18 knots on the sea trial, but was a bit light and she burns 2 GPH at 8 knots so 1000 mile range?
