- In this episode, we visit the Ship wreak of Homebush Bay and shoot a roll of expired Walgreens' film on the pretty cool point &shoot camera Canon AF35ML well known for it F1.9 lens and fast autofocus

What a coincidence! I just loaded my Canon AF35M. Mine is pretty loud as well, but if you you're trying to be sneaky you can hold down the shutter button and walk away. When you release it the film will advance and you'll be ready for your next shot.

I love your passion for photography, cameras and film! Who knew recycled film was even a thing? I certainly didn’t. In a digital world it’s so lovely to see film being used. And what a great spot to take photos, you always make our city look so gorgeous :-)

Thanks Nathan, I have come across a lot of non functional ones! i think people used to leave the batteries inside and acid sometimes is not forgiving with some of the contacts and boards

I have one of this as well but one question the view finder isn’t 100% accurate when u shoot right .. so do i have to move my camera up abit every time i shoot to get a decent pic. ??
I find my viewfinder pretty accurate and I don’t experience much parallax with this camera

I bought one of these after seeing your video. The camera seems to nail exposure and autofocus, and has the right blend of contrast, sharpness, and corner vignetting that I love. Your shots are beautiful- high quality, yet almost a dreamy, lomography kind of look.

very cool video. It very interesting to see how film handels the darks and brights on a picture. I love this effect because Its not that easy to get on digital with some adjustments. sometimes its just better to combine a touch of some own creative work in combination with some film-materials. ;) keep up the videos as they are very nice. especially seeing all those different camera types. :D
still shooting film thank you so much! The latitude of film is definitely one of my favorite things about it too! Combine with the colors and all the problem solving of shooting and developing process and I’m in love with it ;)

How to get the digital copy of our films?
You need to scan your negatives or get a film lab to do it ;)

Enjoyed the video. Haven't heard much about this camera but looks interesting. Do you plan to keep shooting with it or is it too noisy for street?
Shawn Brezny thanks. I definitely plan to keep shooting it but not probably for street photography as it is super loud, probably the loudest point and shoot I’ve use but someone just gave me the tip that if I hold the shutter button until I have walk away from the subject and then release, a can decide when the camera makes the terrible sound(I’ll at least give this a try)
I'm in search of the perfect balance of quality/value point and shoot camera. I'll take a closer look at this. Do you think the lens is sharp enough? Cheers!
john murch it’s pretty good but I recommend the Nikon L35AF that it’s pretty much a similar price

So you've had to take the pictures, then feed it into a film scanner?
cheayee yes, you take the photos then develop them in chemistry and then scan them

Thanks so much, I know that I totally rushed the edit and it got completely done on my iPhone so the quality is pretty average but thank you so much for your generous comment... I have not thought of selling my prints yet but if you are interested on any of my work DM me on instagram :)
