Well the camping at Catalina is on the West side Two Harbors which is more remote and you’d be exploring that area on foot, but you can still take a boat over to Avalon if you wanted to check out the town. Nobody is really super mobile on the Island without cars but I guess that’s part of the charm.
I did need to show some form of ID when I picked up my tickets in the office since I was the one who bought the tickets online before hand. They had to make sure they were giving them to the right person. After that no id checked.

Hello i lost my drivers license and i have a trip to catalina pretty soon. Did ypu need an id to take the ferry???

@@diahbars He did not. And when we got on they only checked to be sure we had tickets. No ID. Have fun!!!!
