I used to work near Long Beach California where the ferries to Catalina are and Catalina residents shop when they come to the mainland. I struck up a conversation with a Catalina resident who was shopping at my store one day. I told her "Oh, there was someone from Catalina in my store yesterday." The woman replied "Really, who was it" The residents seem to be close-knit and everybody knows each other.
As a youtuberr and traveller, we usually say “F it & book it” Totes can relate 😂

Cali summers don't really end til mid October (pre drastic climate change), so don't fret.
You still have Twin Harbors to explore on Catalina (more a camper and hikers dream). Catalina Museum is a gem, too.
Avoid Catalina on holidays and cruise ship arrival days, if you are trying to avoid crowds.
May want to consider a helicopter flight to Catalina, to save time. The zip line is fun too.
You know you live in paradise when many have been trying to get there, since the gold rush, while fewer poo poo and leave it.
Happy you're still enjoying your Cali Golden reality.

Your videos are nicely done & really well edited. They make me look more closely at the way a metro's weather & terrain really affect the look & vibe of it. The cultural angle of LA (such as inland LA's Huntington Garden & Library---whose gardens you covered awhile ago) along with its natural traits are a necessary two-fer package. To me, a place - to be more complete - needs one with the other. So Catalina is just one piece of the whole.
I'm glad you enjoyed Avalon. I grew up in San Diego and went to Catalina several times as a teenager. Hope you get to go again and explore more of the island.

Catalina island looks lovely never really heard or seen much about it so thank you for sharing your day with us :) it really reminds me of the Greek islands. Will need to add this to our list for the next time we’re in Cali!

I was literally just thinking about going to Catalina Island, and this pops up in my feed lol. Really liked how you've elevated your footage and editing, especially toward the end with all those wide shots. I feel motivated now to catch a boat there. Pumpkin spice is not the end! We still have the rest of September haha.
