Kubota should hire you to produce videos on 'How To' assembly the various parts and assemblies of their tractor..well done..

There was more to installing the backhoe than you showed us you made it look like an afternoons work but nicely done keep up the great work

It is an afternoon job for someone like him
      Or me
Maybe a full day if you get a friend to "help" and start drinking
But if your not mechanically minded it will be a pretty serious undertaking prob better letting the dealer do it

This was such a good video Kubota should send it out with anyone that wants to install it themselves. You made it look so easy.

Well I sure do hope tat Kubota doesn't send a link to this to all buyers to see how it's done WITHOUT first paying you for this instruction.
You made it seem so easy to do.
    I enjoyed watching this assembly.

Depending on the dealer or time of year they can be down right reasonable. It's a bit different than working with say JD where you pay a premium, then every nickel and dime after it.

As an additional note. If you happen to also be installing the sub-frame yourself, make sure you run a tap (or a spare bolt) into all the holes your're going to be using to bolt it to the tractor. What happens is these threaded holes get dirt in them, or actual paint from the factory, then halfway through the install you come across a hole that the bolt doesn't want to thread into!

I saw an earlier video when you were working on the foot pedal activation of the thumb. I imagine you got the linkage working properly in the end. I'm glad you found a simple mod so that 6'2" people like you and me can operate the backhoe with thumb pedal. Sometimes I feel that the song about short people should be rewritten about tall people. Glad their mounts were like the loader mounts that the crawlers had where the hoe set down in the mount instead of where the hoe on my pals tractor had to go UP to secure the end. That was a pain and a half. The loader mounts were setup to change out in a couple of minutes. Pop out the top mounting pins and raise the hoe up with the outriggers and fold it over with the boom by raising it and then pull forward a foot or so. The main hydraulic system line was on a quick connect through the hoe so pop it loose from the hoe and connect it back to itself and that was it. Reverse the procedure for hooking back up. Really good setup. Glad Moving Man was back and I knew he'd be chest deep in this. He'll be the stump digger I bet. Thanks, Toby. You'll wonder how you got anong without it.

Except for the amount of weight I can lift is limited it’s great for getting between fences and over ruff terrain💪💪💪💪

Great detail and explanation of steps and "watch out for this" stuff
I have a L-2501 and finally got the Woods BH-75 installed on My tractor and in use after buying it 2.5 years ago, but no thumb.
It was shipped almost fully assembled on a stamped steel pallet.
It was pretty simple to mount and get running.
I will look for those auxiliary mounting holes today because the seat really is too close and keep getting My knees pounded when there is a sudden movement.
My question is have You ever thought of using an alternative seat that has more clearance?
My idea is possibly using an old Harley Bike style seat or even a modified Motorcycle seat where the Operator can change position on the seat and be a lot easier getting on and off of the backhoe,
The bike style seat would still plenty of reared support while giving more leg room
    Thanks
    Ken in Florida

One thing I do want to ask about the BH sub-frame. I am in Europe (Bulgaria) considering buying an M4072 tractor. Would you happen to know whether M4 series tractors have sub-frames for back-hoes? Dealers here are sketchy about it, saying that M-series chassis are strong enough, but I do want to double- and triple- check. M4072 is the 70+ horse power variant of the M4002 model. I don't know if that corresponds to MX-series in the US or the entry M series...but clearly the Kubota L-line of tractors in the US have dedicated sub-frames. Hope you happen to know...

You did awesome job buddy. But I got to ask one thing. I operated heavy equipment right at 40 years. I operated rubber tire backhoes . And found out that I would not have a rubber tire backhoe without a four-way bucket, or clamshell bucket as they call it. I'm just asking, cuz I am curious. as to why you didn't get a clamshell bucket with yours. Getting up small enough trees you can bite them up with the clamshell and you don't really need somebody with a chain. You work it right get good enough at it. You can clean up without ever having to pick a shovel up. Just asking that's all. I'm sure you got what you wanted. And that's fine. They are nice little tractors. And you can do a lot with them . 😁👍

I saw a lot of Minnesota's state birds helping you with that. I don't like Kubota's pins with the grease hole in the pin. They always break where the cross hole is drilled. The grease hole should be in the bushings, not the pins. I'd also like to see the pins with a head on one end and threaded on the other to prevent the mounting flanges from spreading.

I always drive the pins in from the side with the hole in it for the bolt. That way I can eyeball the alignment as I go and can make the last adjustment just before the bolt hole disappears. Toooooo many times I did it the way he did it in the video and you end up with a pin all the way in, no hole visible and no was to grab the pin and turn it. This especially happens when you have to beat the shot out of the pin to get it in.
