A performer is not automatically an artist. You have to be able to do something that requires talent. Actually write lyrics, or sing amazingly well without being autotuned, or play an instrument.

They're 100X more original sounding than half of the poser bands that attempt to make a name for themselves these days. & they've prooven that they can hit several different area's of metal. 2. Show some respect for them. If you're a true metalhead...you would see that they helped pave the way for the sound that metal has evolved into today. Take Slipknot outta the equation, & you wouldn't have as much to really go on.

I 150% agree with Corey on this. Bad music has leaked it's way into every genre. But imo, the one that concerns me the most is Hip Hop. I don't enjoy it anymore cuz all the greats apparently are all washed up and dumb. Now everyone is all about Kodak Black Lil Yachty Lil Uzi Migos Kanye Desiigner And so many others. The real people who actually give a shit about the music industry are mostly all unsigned, or underground musicians. Also I understand that people think that "it's not the bands/artists, it's the people who listen to it, and push it". True. But it's also the assholes that sign artists based off of purely pop culture and money rather than trying to send positive vibes or strong messages to people. The people that put their EVERYTHING into an album are the real ones that deserve credit. The ones that just use computer corrections and autotune are just showing the lack of talent. I have moved to primary metal music. And I'm glad. Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Metallica, Pantera, etc., deserve everything and so much more for the effort and emotion they put into their work day in and day out to produce good music for not only us to listen and learn from, but also on themselves for doing what they do to help make the world a better place.
