Used to live in and grew up in Newport, lido Island and on 18th street (the infamous 'point'). Growing up on lido Island i would go with my dad on our kayaks, cruise the bay to big corona Beach and meet mom and brother for a whole day at the beach. Great times that I wish i can go back in time to.

How old were you then I was a teenager in the late 70's my brother used to hang down there with richly rich people like te Allison's of Allison transmissions et al .
You mention 18th st my dad used to take us on Friday night to the Chinese food place called the stag which was right around the corner from Blackies. The best pizza ever is at a place called Mutt Lynches

This is my old stomping ground. I grew up going to Corona del Mar and Little Corona, as well as Newport and Balboa. Corona had fire pits and so was good to visit at night as well as day.
Corona Del Mar is a seaside neighborhood in the city of Newport Beach , California. It generally consists of all the land on the seaward face of the San Joaquin Hills south of Avocado Avenue to the city łimits, as well as the development of Irvine Terrace , just north of Avocado. Beautiful photo of the Pacific coast. Beautiful video for which I thank you.

It's still the same .there used to be a statue of a deal between the south side of big corona and North side of little corona that was only visible at low tide when you could wade your way through the ebbing the to the little corona beach. Such great video of my childhood h only 50 years ago lol thank you again. This will become my meditation focus how awesome you have made this little so-cal girl very happy to relive her youth through your excellent videgraphy XOXO 😺

I live three blocks from here! This beach is wonderful. The beginning of your video is at Inspiration point, and shows “big Corona” - the State Beach. There is a City Beach (“little corona”) just south of here that is a popular beach for photographers.

Enjoyed that beach at at all hours of the day and night we used to run the jetty a to the end in the dark smoke some weed and rotten crawl back only to get busted by the beach patrol as stumbled our back onto the warf

Im curious, was this actually shot in Sep/Oct 2020? I'm just wondering how Newport has dealt with Covid and the masking laws - it seems they were able to avoid them? Or generally trust one another to not obligate wearing the masks

How strange. Your older videos are 4k but recent ones the highest resolution available on the TH-cam app on my TV is only 1440p. Perhaps it's an app issue.
