Just got back from venice...what a Nighmare...Full of Homeless ppl....it is so crazy....looks like walking dead episode....never wanna go back to venice
I was born in Santa Monica and honestly as a child I used to wake up at 6 am to ride my bike with my brothers every morning, I lived 3 block away from the beach and rode our bikes from Vince all the way to the end in Malibu. But now it's ruined with the train that they put to bring in more people. Smh
Not at all the train is really great and the promenade is much nicer then it was in the eighties. It was a run down gross area in the 80s. Nothing but gross jc penny and a closed in mall with no connection to the outdoors. It’s so much nicer it’s not even true. They also added bike paths and reopened all the bridges to the beaches. Not to mention they added police substations throughout SM to make it safer.
Wish you had included any kind of voice over narration to tell us what we're seeing and why because if you don't live in the LA area, it's just a bunch of sites without any history and no particular meaning, when every place has some sort of local history, especially this area.
I remember when California used to have millions of people walking around, none homelessness, becoming movie stars, film directors, having enjoyed life by the beach together. Now look at it, Newsom completely destroyed California! The California dream is dead for most people. The rich people can only live and afford California nowadays!😭💔 I wish California need a republican governor instead!
