This is just fantastic. I missed La Jolla a lot!! I just went there last Nov before Covid started and I planed to go there last May. Guess I have to wait until May 2022 at least to be safe. I love everything about it.
Do you plan to go to Cabrillo National Monument? I love everything about that place too especially the lighthouse (both old and new one). I never walked down to see the new one up close though.
Think they got that nudest beach blacks beach. I like to go check it out any nude camp now not ashamed of my body much now since lost about 30 25. Pounds now.
I am a native Californian…..so many beautiful places in this state….from the coastal beaches to the sierra mountains , wine country, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite….no other state like it in the country.
I love the seals there! You don't see them everywhere! So unique! I needed this peace and sun on a Saturday afternoon! We won't see sun again until late May or early June. I am sitting here with the space heater on and my feet on the heating pad! It is beautiful and sunny there! Brings back great memories!
I used to live in SD back in the good ol' days with my family. I was 5 years old (I'm now 39 years old) since then we have always gone back to SD, on our summer vacation. Lived in La Jolla in the late 60's and early 70's (across from Bishops and then up the street from Unicorn Cinema, Mithras Books....beautiful beaches, cliffs, quiet neighborhoods back then, Dragon art colony, little restaurants, be-ins in the park-hahaha...Sunday mornings on Girard was quiet! But the only thing constant is change...Very nice video, super HD...nice to see the old place
Besides the beauty, imagine perfect weather all year round. Mild 60s in the winter and perfect 70s in the summer. The ocean current gives San Diego (especially La Jolla) the best weather in the entire world. Never too hot or too cold.
How wonderful 🤗 I stayed there in a lovely oceanfront home for a week, about 30 years ago. I fell in love with the area. My ex grew up there. He was in the WindandSea surf club in the 60s.
I walked that beach every day back in the second half of the 1970’s. I rented a beach cottage across the street. You just showed my old friend John’s parents home! Oh, thank you for the memories. ♥️
San Diego is one of the prettiest places i have ever been to, i was just there i did this same walk as well on May 20, 2021. My wife and i enjoyed it so much. After the walk we ate at an Asian Cuisine, right up the hill, the food was great and inexpensive, the the service was great as well. I would definitely go eat there again. I have to go back someday. I went there from San Antonio, TX.
Brings back memories. I lived in Ocean Beach for a couple years right off the cliffs. Wasn't able to find a job after college in 2010 and ended up moving back to DC. Now I'm living in the Denver metro. Still need to make a trip back to San Diego.
As I everyone who moved here in the last few years. You should have seen Denver from 2012-2017 before the crowds and all the yuppie transplants. Denver used to be so much better.

When I was 22 and blowin' in the wind, my parents moved close to here. I thought it wise to stay a few hours drive away. This is the road I could have taken at the fork of the road. When I get back to CA from working overseas, I think I'll visit and visit and visit until I have roots. I remember there being a cave somewhere around there.

My son went to UCSD, La Jolla, and graduated. I have a sticker on the back of my car that says ‘alumni.’ While he was a student, we would drive to see him from Ventura County, Oxnard so often. He would come home then back to San Diego. One day, we went to the University library, and hit my face on glass doors. I thought it was opened, I was embarrassed and just laughed. Then one day, he drove us to eat at Puerto Huevo Restaurant, was beautiful ride along the coast from SD via Tijuana. It was delicious opened shell of lobster 🦞, a complete meal. In National City, you can try so many delicious Pilipino dishes, tropical drinks, halo-halo and desserts. I am half 🇺🇸/🇵🇭. When my family came to visit us, I drove them to Sea World, around the military naval bases, of course to beautiful La Jolla. My neighbor’s daughter is going to San Diego State University, and said, she would rather live in San Diego. She comes home from time-to-time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful video. 💜💜💜💜👍👍👍👍. I’ve lived in Oklahoma or Dallas 90% of my life, I lived in Las Vegas two years. I’ve always felt like this is where I belong, I have visited twice. Unfortunately it’s just so expensive to live out there I’m sure I will ever be able to pull it off, it’s depressing

Love it. The tent on the house 49.30 has been there 50 years pulse . It changed over the years . I knew some of the surfers that lived there in 1972

It really is the best . I lived in the Bay Area for many years and thought it couldn't get any better until I went to San Diego
And the people are really nice and friendly. That helps.
This is literally my front yard and has been for 60 years. Avg. temp 70 degrees F. year 'round.
