- Go see the avatar mountains! Here is all the information you need about visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. There was a lot that we didn't know before our visit so we hope this video can prepare you a little more. Watch to find out about where to stay, bus information and what to expect. We visited in early June and we had some pretty foggy days. We wouldn't recommend visiting near typhoon season but we did end up with some sunny days. If you are in Zhangjiajie then surely you will also visit Tianmen Mountain. We have a short video about that too.
Here is a map of the park with all the routes, prices, and times. It's very important that you plan your route for the day before beginning your hike.
