Great video as always, (I know my starter of the comment is always great, amazing, excellent lol I love your videos so much, that I dont have nothing else to start with. ) I loved the planespotting part from the lounge, especially the Delta A350, and the beautiful Sydney skyline in the back. Indeed, the Qantas crew treated you really well, you had lots of liquid hahaha 😝, alcohol at lounge plane, then soda and as well as tea, the food on the plane looked decent to me, and it was so good seeing the A321NEO in Sydney as well, and so many NZ flights as well, and very busy too. 👍👍

Wow you did get to NZ in the 5minutes we had a trans Tasman bubble before Jacinda burst it again. For someone obsessed with coat hooks it's the first time seeing you actually wearing a coat to put on said coat hook🤭. I've never been in a Qantas First Class lounge but aside from the beautiful space and great food the views are worth a million dollars! Thanks for spending the time filming all the flights and telling us the origin and destination of each flight l really thoroughly enjoyed this so cheers for that👍
I was so lucky to be granted entry to the lounge twice. Unfortunately it won't happen anymore because they've reopened the business lounge. But I guess that's a good thing! Travel is picking up :)

Great to see Qantas at their best in this flight experience across the Tasman Jayden. So glad you were able to make this trip ahead of the latest Sydney outbreak. I was interested to hear that the cabin crew on this flight were Jetconnect. I`d assumed they were assimilated into the Qantas crew when Jetconnect ceased operations in 2018, but I see they do still employ pilots and cabin crew who are based in NZ.
Great trip report mate! At airports I rarely shop at Duty-free but there was a time in Tokyo Narita while waiting for my flight which got delayed by almost 2 hours I ended up spending about 15,000 Yen (135USD) at the duty free

haha you're never meant to consume your duty free items until you've reached your destination! Hence duty free haha! In Japan, they always seal your duty free purchases (alcohol or not) in a secure plastic bag. Cheers Steve :))

I was so disappointed... i couldnt even get a free cup of tea. and the prices were not cheap. so its refreshing to see our own Qantas serving up free food and drinks. well done. was you asked if you had had both jabs when you applied to go to NZ - i had my first Pfizer last week, waiting for 2nd one in around 4 wks.
Yeah Air NZ isn't cheap! I don't know what they fare structure was like 5 years ago, but today there are three types of fare in economy. Cheapest one no food, have to pay. Nope they didn't ask about the jab (because it wasn't required), but they ask if I had a test done recently (also not required).

Yay for international travel! That catch of the Delta 350 was very nice. Delta's quickly becoming my favorite airline, I've kinda lost interest in Qantas as of late. I love the delta a350 more than the Boeing 777-200LR/ER because the ER has the rolls-Royce engine yes I know the a350 has the rolls-Royce engine but I hate the rolls-Royce engine on a 777 no matter what.

Amazing landing. Is Qantas putting IFE screens in all its 737s ? Or just the ones on the overseas route ? I ask, as many airlines ( from vlogs I have seen) are getting away from IFE systems so passengers just use their own devices
Nope! about 1/3 of Qantas 737 has TV IFE. And they put them on 99% of their international flights. The one percent is due to operational reasons haha. When they aren’t flying internationally, they get put on domestic routes. It’s similar to how Qantas roster their A330 :)
Jayden, you never seem to tire of travelling, flying and filming. Thank you for your many informative flight and lounge reports from Australia and around the world. I flew from Melbourne to Brisbane with Virgin Australia on Thursday, 24 June 2021 in economy and I was not sorry to get off the flight after only about 2 hours. Do you ever tire of flying especially on longer flights such as to and from Hong Kong to Australia and Europe to Australia? I note that you have endured numerous 'red eye' flights.
I’ve not done Europe to Australia in one way. Always at least 2 days in my Hong Kong home before flying back to Australia. A perfect layover to see family and friends and to explore the city! I do get jetlag and fatigue after flying long haul especially economy but after a night in the hotel I’ll be ok :) Thanks Tony!

Yep, jet connect crew, but jet connect on the aircraft. years ago it was just the removal of the aircraft. I got the crew to clarify this with me too, thanks for watching Ben!
3 seats abreast ,no leg room equals = uncomfortable , typical Boeing design interior and uses 1960s legacy 737 product same as General Motors cars bland and average .
Flying “overseas” ....to New Zealand😂😂😂. Sadly this will be the extent of Qantas “international” route structure for a long time to come. Australia’s covid hysteria has destroyed their international tourism industry and Qantas will likely never regain its international structure and will become primarily a domestic carrier.

Same I thought Jetconnect ceased completely! Good to know they kept some if not all the crew. NZ will reopen to SA later this week, fingers crossed!!

yes they provide headphones. Wifi is currently not available on Qantas flights to/from NZ. Personal headphones work with the TV

I love the delta a350 more than the Boeing 777-200LR/ER because the ER has the rolls-Royce engine yes I know the a350 has the rolls-Royce engine but I hate the rolls-Royce engine on a 777 no matter what.

Is Qantas putting IFE screens in all its 737s ?
Or just the ones on the overseas route ?
I ask, as many airlines ( from vlogs I have seen) are getting away from IFE systems so passengers just use their own devices
Nope! about 1/3 of Qantas 737 has TV IFE. And they put them on 99% of their international flights. The one percent is due to operational reasons haha. When they aren’t flying internationally, they get put on domestic routes. It’s similar to how Qantas roster their A330 :)
Jayden, you never seem to tire of travelling, flying and filming. Thank you for your many informative flight and lounge reports from Australia and around the world. I flew from Melbourne to Brisbane with Virgin Australia on Thursday, 24 June 2021 in economy and I was not sorry to get off the flight after only about 2 hours. Do you ever tire of flying especially on longer flights such as to and from Hong Kong to Australia and Europe to Australia? I note that you have endured numerous 'red eye' flights.
I’ve not done Europe to Australia in one way. Always at least 2 days in my Hong Kong home before flying back to Australia. A perfect layover to see family and friends and to explore the city! I do get jetlag and fatigue after flying long haul especially economy but after a night in the hotel I’ll be ok :) Thanks Tony!

Are they JetConnect crew??? I know Qantas took on the route directly a few years ago. Queens town is a place I want to fly into, have been in by road a couple times, such a stunning approach!
Yep, jet connect crew, but jet connect on the aircraft. years ago it was just the removal of the aircraft. I got the crew to clarify this with me too, thanks for watching Ben!

Flying “overseas” ....to New Zealand😂😂😂. Sadly this will be the extent of Qantas “international” route structure for a long time to come. Australia’s covid hysteria has destroyed their international tourism industry and Qantas will likely never regain its international structure and will become primarily a domestic carrier.
Qantas isn't doing any regular repatriation flights right now :/ sigh
