Indeed, I wouldn't call the Snapdragon 8 generation 2 worse. Lol. It was in every major flagship from every major manufacturer with the exception of Google last year. Once more, it is one of the best and most reliable processors that Qualcomm is ever designed. In fact, it will be relevant for many years to come. It's actually in my OnePlus 11. What we really have here in the OnePlus 12R is a high tier mid-ranger with last year's flagship processor and GPU. Even the RAM and ROM configuration is flagship level. It will more than satisfy the needs of most users. In addition, I really wouldn't put it on the same level as the pixel 7a. There's no need to denigrate it.
I personally would definitely get 12r i do this with all devices i always get last year specs and pay half price i am using Motorola edge 2022 and i find camera good and amazing display i used to buy top models all the time but it didnt make sense in the end as the difference for normal human being is 0 literally 0

I've got my OnePlus 12R for a month now, I just do not see a reason to buy the OnepLus 12 or any other "flagship" device. I came from 8 years of using last generations of Iphones and I couldn't be more happy with my purchase
Ltpo 3 in the OnePlus 12 while ltpo 4 in the OnePlus 12r which is better if not mistaken you said spec wise as if there is a lot of compromises but it's the same phone just a worse camera and last gen chip other then that they're identical 😊
@@vancedkirukan cool thanks for letting me know haha shouldn't be a big noticeable difference in my opinion only thing would be camera other then that same screen brightness similar battery the main important stuff are similar at least
@@leeheirbaut8154it's 699 for 256gb so that's only $200 difference for 8gen3, better camera, wireless charging, 2k display(personal preference I guess). Not saying that 12r is bad. But that extra 200 quid is justifiable
It's weird that they are less than $100 difference in price where i live for the 256gb models. It's annoying because i prefer the 12r with thinner bezels and includes only the things i want in a phone. But when the price difference is minimal, the 12 is just better speced.
One is competing with the ultra flagship level while the other is a mid range phone. OnePlus 12 is objectively the better phone. But if you are talking about value for money then of coz the 12R is the one to go for.
Try steady objects a bit more. Moving or shaking one phone, while emphasising that you're talking about that phone, placing it closer to the camera and slightly covering the other phone will suffice.
If OnePlus gives IP68, Flat display and slightly improved cameras(cameras are actually good, if not best in the class) then literally there are zero negatives to show, it's a killer phone.

Both seem like really good values. With the current incentives, I was able to get the 16 GB / 512 GB version of the 12 for about 200 USD more than the 12R with 16 GB / 256 GB that I also considered. A midrange phone with a snapdragon 8gen2 processor is a win for me that's a flagship processor
So many reviews say "the OnePlus 12r only has a snapdragon gen 2" 😂 really?! For $500 the 12r is an excellent deal especially where I live in the USA.
