A vibraslap has metal teeth inside the wooden block which makes the noise, the ball is just there to make it vibrate. Probably why he can still boogie woogie

For what I understand, it's true that the binding vow Todo made was to change the activation of Boogie Woogie from clapping to the metal and the wood of the vibraslap hitting, the metal part is not actually the ball, but a small metal part inside of the bell like part. So the ball breaking would technically not make the binding vow dissapear, It would just make it less efficient because the vibration generated when you hit the wooden ball is what makes the vibraslap hit 50 times in one second. He can still make the sound, but he has to hit the bell part directly thus making it more suceptible to it being broken, just like it happens in the chapter.
Yeah exactly this. I'm guessing everyone is thinking the ball part hits the block, but actually the ball is there to make the inside metal part vibrate against the wood.

Todo is using the shards of UV to swap with Yuji, so he can put him pretty much anywhere. The binding vow never stopped Todo from using boogie woogie with something else, it's just that he makes a binding vow when he uses it to use it less but make it more effective.
I don't get the whole Binding Vow hate from Weeb. It's pretty obvious that self made binding vows aren't permanent unless you specify it is (like never using a sword again). It's a matter of wording, and so long as it's based in Cursed Energy it's game.
Anyways, Todo probably made a binding vow or altered the original to remove the ball hitting the metal part of the Vibraslap. Meaning it probably has reduced range, which doesn't matter in the current context of the fight anyways. Only to lead into Todo making another binding vow which could be anything (never using Boogie Woogie again would be a particularly potent one) to increase the range to reach Hana.
@@sand2358yeah, he’s kinda misunderstanding them, you can break em, that negates your benefit, but gets rid of the negative. But depends on the case. If I make a binding vow that I can only kick for 7 times my kick strength, if i break it, I lose that 7 times, but am able to punch again. It’s more of a trade off rather than an absolute, unless you take the miwa case where the trade off negative is specifically permanent.

It’s hard to describe why I buy Yuji’s dismantle doing more damage to the barrier between Sukuna/Megumi’s soul so I’ll just put it this way. Take a piece of notebook paper, (this is our stand in for Sukuna), Yuji is the scissors and the barrier between Megumi/Sukuna’s souls are the lines on the paper. If you cut straight through at random angles you’ll get mostly the empty space between the lines, Yuji (the scissors) deliberately limiting the cutting to only the lines to increase the damage dealt should theoretically line up, right?

I understood the "Boogie Woogie is great right now because of the broken barrier" as him saying that he can switch with any of the floating shards of barrier. No need to infuse rocks with CE and throw em, you got random spots marked all around.
And I think Todo can still use the vibraslap because the lower part, the one that wasn't blown off, can still be struck. When he talked about metal hitting wood, he was talking about the mechanism in just that lower part.

Yuji made attacking the barrier between Sukuna's and Megumi's souls more effective by limiting how powerful it is against physical objects he didn't give up the ability to target physical objects
Whether he entirely gave up the ability to damage things physically or just limited Dismantle's effectiveness against physical targets doesn't actually matter at all. The only thing you lose when you break a Binding Vow you made to yourself is what you gained from that Binding Vow. So even if Yuji said "I cannot physically damage anything with Dismantle" in exchange for boosting its effectiveness on the barrier between Sukuna and Megumi, the second he breaks that Vow his physical damage with Dismantle goes back to normal and all he loses is the boost to the damage against the barrier between Sukuna and Megumi.
That's what Nick's saying makes the act of making a Binding Vow with yourself so silly. Yuji gave up something he didn't care about doing, hurting Sukuna and in exchange got a massive boost to the thing he actually wanted to do, damage the barrier between Sukuna and Megumi's souls. But while it does feel a little narratively unsatisfying, I feel like that's kind of the point of the system. Cursed Energy and Jujutsu as a system is basically entirely predicated on exploiting the rules for your own gain, following the letter of the law while violating the spirit of it, that kind of thing.
It kinda feels like Gege said "Let me take the laws of Nen, and have them treated like real world laws are treated," So if you're powerful enough the laws basically don't apply to you. You can engineer yourself a way to get everything you want and give up basically nothing. Get caught "breaking the law?" For the most part unless your crimes are too big or you offend the wrong people you'll get nothing more than a proverbial slap on the wrist. Sure, you might have to pay a fine that means nothing to you. But it's not like you'll actually face any real consequences.
The cursed technique burn out occurs in the brain and Yuta's brain currently hosts Kenny's technique

Instead of listening to nick actually READ the manga he keeps misunderstanding and undermining the small details in the last 3 vids he’s made, like in this vid todo was switching yuji with SHARDS from the domain and nick completely ignores this and the binding vow was to make one switch instead of 50 thus increasing his range, nick is a good TH-camr at times but recently it just seems like he rushes the vids and doesn’t even get the facts right.
Ever since the start of the culling game arc I feel like Ive just been patiently waiting for this story to feel good again. 😰

It feels like Gege is trying too hard for the new big cliff hanger into crazy twist. Reminds me a ton of Dan Brown the author (The Davinci Code) where every chapter ends on a mystery cliffhanger only for the craziest thing to happen next. I should note I hate dan browns writing lol.
I think the binding vow spam we seeing this chapter is a direct result of Sekuna spamming them so much, he literally opened everyones eyes to how op they can be when used right

Here's two things that should be helpful in the understanding of the chapter as at least according to my research and interpretation, so let's start with a factual statement:
1. When it comes to vibraslaps it isn't actually the ball or the bell-shaped thing that are made out of metal, there is metal part inside the bell that hits the sides of the wooden bell whenever it was hit by the ball or in Todo's case his head. This is why he was still capable of using boogie woogie once the ball part was broken off. I think the only purposes of the ball and the odd shaped metal rod that connects the ball and the bell, at least for Todo's purposes, are to increase the rate at which he can hit the bell part and make the metal inside hit the walls.
Next, i think Nick is misinterpreting what's going to meant when commenting on the shards of the broken domain:
2. i think what he meant was that yuta, being the bundle of curse energy he is, was able to maintain the barrier of unlimited void despite it having been shattered, which set the perfect stage for Boogie Woogie to shine because it created a lot of debris floating throughout the air the Todo could use Boogie Woogie on, swapping yuji with them as we saw in the scene where we see yuji being Boogie-Woogied all around the Sukuna and hitting him from all sides.
- interestingly this does presumably tell us that domain barriers can still be maintained after they are broken and the reason they disappear after they are broken is not actually because they arebroken but rather because maintaining the shattered barrier shards becomes a extreme and pointless curse energy waste in any other scenario.
-if this is true, I feel like fairly safe determines that the domains that need barriers do not keep their technique or guaranteed hit effect shattered, otherwise it'd be just as valuable if not more valuable to keep them up.
Thanks for the explanation, nick is just nick-picking at this point, I watch his videos but when it comes to jjk he needs to research more and critical evaluate the chapter and old chapters before making a video analysis with boruto and Naruto he definitely hits the mark but even i who rarely knows much about jjk, like i do know jjk and i can explain it to someone but i am not that critical about it but i already understood the shreads of curse energy emitted from gota barrier.
well the ball part of the vibraslap is just for convinience to impart the force to cause the rattle. The metal hitting the wpod refers to the small metal rattle inide the trapezoid wooden percussion chamber(which he still has, the ball part was broken) , tho its definitely not as affective, ie, the number of switches might decrease, boogie woogie should still work as both parts of the vow are intact. You can also use the vibraslap one handed btw , the rattling will just be worse
Couple notes:
- The metal part and wooden part are IN the wooden part of the Vibraslap (which is why he can trigger it). The ball part is for it to continually vibrate for longer
- The "greatest stage for boogie woogie" is said because every little shard is imbued with cursed energy, so Todo can swap things with each individual shard around them (essentially, anything can swap anywhere).
- The increased range is a REMINDER of Todo's original Binding Vow
The metal part of the vibraslap is inside the wooden box that was still intact. The ball doesn't actually have much to do with the act of vibrating a vibraslap. The reason Todo can swap like 50 times a second is because vibraslaps *vibrate* when struck, not because of a binding vow

mostly agree with the video but if you go back to 260 todos binding vow is that the metal teeth in the wooden part of the vibraslap need to collide to activate his technique, so technically you don't need the metal ball (actually gege doesn't know how vicraslaps work because in the real world the point of them is that you can tap the metal ball and it makes the wood vibrate without touching without touching it) Then there is also yujis binding vow, which is probably that he can only use dismantle sukunas soul and he just used cleave to break the pillars (the rule about cleave only being for inanimate objects has been broken so many times by sukuna its kinda crazy)

Todo seems to have you kinda stumped this chapter, I think everything he did was on point and the confusion comes from not understanding how the Vibroslap works.
-The Wood and Metal parts of the Vibroslap are BOTH within the bell, it's hitting the ball what transfers vibrations through the metal into the bell and makes it rattle, the rattling is what allows 50 boogies per second.
-Todo is MANUALLY slamming the bell to force the wooden bell to contact the metal teeth, in order to use Boogie Woogie, which is very innefficient, but he can't do it other way because the BALL got broken by sukuna. the Ball vibrating the Bell IS the cheat/loophole todo was using to get the 50 boogies per second
-Todo's Binding Vow is that he can extend the range and number of targets when he reduces the amount of boogies over time (so essentially, he has a long teleport that puts Boogie Woogie on cooldown), he made this binding Vow BEFORE entering the battle, and thats how he saved Maki and the others
-Todo can use Boogie Woogie on any object that has cursed energy, the fading shards of the domain count as such, and since theyre everywhere, he can teleport anything anywhere.
-Since He's trying to teleport Angel in, he would have to swap one person with her, and there's no valid target since he needs to keep himself, yuji, Yuta and Sukuna on the scene, this is why hes using it on the Domain Expansion shards, as they too have cursed energy.
So yeah my man Todo is playing completely fair with rules he already established! he ain't cheating!
two thing you got wrong here ..first todo binding vow was about something else. he just changes the condition of activation of his technique that ball part should meet the metal part in order to switch and then he again changes his condition of activation of technique after ball part getting broken ...read the chapter again and the second thing is the both the domain barriers broken into little pieces of shards of cursed enegy which takes time to diapppear which todo can use
The vibraslap and the ball for the binding vow for 50 swaps, gone because no ball. But regular boogie woogie use could be done, just not as good as with the ball, at least that's how I got it
no the ball was never apart of the binding vow the bottom piece is that's the part that rattles and allows him to swap he can still do 50 in 1

While most binding vows recently haven't seemed fair, I think Yuji's made sense, since he's trading the ability to do physical and soul damage for this one attack (50 physical/50 Soul) to channel all of this attacks damage to soul(0 Physical/ 100 Soul) this is just how I read it though, and it was poorly explained (like most binding vows) in the moment

From what I gathered reading, Yuji's binding vow was to make dismantles be more effective hitting the soul instead of punching, meaning he sacrificed soul punches for dismantle doing it along with it still working normally. So he lost sould punches, but gained soul dismantles, but also keeps regular dismantle
He didn't sacrifice soul punches, his soul punches is the reason he can use apply dismantle to the soul barrier

My assumption for how this situation is the best possible stage for Boogie Woogie is that since they're effectively surrounded by the broken shards of Gota's barrier and Todo is able to use Boogie Woogie to swap any 2 objects that have cursed energy, Todo can effectively move himself, Yuji, and Sukuna anywhere he wants to within this battlefield by having them switch places with the shards
I agree with most of your criticisms, especially the ones about Todo, but I actually think it makes sense that Yuji could make a binding vow that makes his dismantle that specifically targets the barrier between Sukuna and Megami's souls. When you think about it, it's just like he's swapping out the damage he would do with a dismantle attack on Sukuna's physical body to instead target the barrier between their souls. When you think about it, in Sukuna's weakened state, that dismantle could have dished out enough physical damage to actually hurt Sukuna, but Yuji just really wants to save Megumi so he decides he wants to target the soul specifically. Idk, I guess to me it makes sense that he could essentially switch the target of dismantle to attacks on the soul and then later still be able to switch back to normal dismantles that do physical damage.

The metal part of the Vibraslap isn’t the ball but the metal clapper thingy inside the wood chamber which is still in tact, so Todo’s binding vow still works. L for Sukuna hitting the wrong part lol. Can’t blame him, I’m pretty sure just like the majority of this fandom this is Sukuna’s first time ever seeing a vibraslap with no idea what it is or how it works haha

16:22 Yuji used cleave on the pillar not dismantle. Its not the same thing. 20:00 we do know. He can activate boogie woogie 50 times in a second. The binding vow limits the times he can do it to further the range. Meaning if he swaps just 1 thing in that second, the range is a LOT longer.

The metal ball isn’t the part that hits the wood on a vibraslap, it’s more like a spring that’s used to make the metal piece that’s inside the wooden box move up and down really fast. So Todo didn’t break the binding vow because the. Metal piece is still in the box, Todo just has to try harder to get it to collide with the wooden box

Boogie Woogie is one of the worst plot holes this fight ever had, initially it make no sense that sacrificing his hand to safe his life againts mahito would not only not kill his technique as it was stated before, but aditionally helped him have a stronger version of it. If we are being fair saying that sacrificing something will give you something in return is the idea of a binding vow, then why is Todo using his CT again. After this chapter not only he is not using what he was suppose to make his technique works he is just using it with no drawback whatsoever.
Ppl are constantly talking about sukuna having insane plot armor and a lot of binding vows with no inmediate drawback, but it is kinda expected for the king of curses to have binding vows with himself and use that rule in his favor, while now Todo is not only using a dead CT, he is using a better version of it and with 0 drawbacks. Plus yuji use a binding vow with no drawbacks too(the drawback could be that he us not healing himself for the rest of the fight since it seemed like he had the same scars for 10 chapters or so, this is just a theory), maybe at the end this drawbacks will appear but for now it seems like bad writing. I rly hope there was no "I have this but in exchange after this fight I will lose all my cursed energy", that will be just stupid because if he dies befor the fight ends then the price is never paid for that binding vow.
This and UiUis CT that switches bodies are one of the plot holes in my opinion, close of those 2 is yuji being a reencarnation from sukunas twin brother that kenjaku in some way find out(we still dont know how).

@@RennHans what i meant by plot armor is that this things saved their asses in multiple occasions, todo using his ct arriving to the fight to help the ones inside the domain, uiuis technique make yuji learn rct and blood manipulation in one month, in the final part i meant to say "plot hole" not "plot armor" in the first sentence of that comment i said plot hole and thats what i meant at the end, english is not my first language so in the multiple times i corrected what i wrote i forgot about that.
The only time when i truly meant plot armor was in sukunas case ppl saying things about binding vows saving him.
Either way, there was no foreshadowing of Uiui having a soul swap technique that can be use 2 times a month, or a case of changing the requirement for using a specific ct on the fly to acomodate not having ther requirements available, is like if meimei since there are no crows near she now uses pigeons and her ability is now boosted. In Todos case is worse since he already sacrifice his hand to save his life, so sacrificing something you already sacrificed should not be aplicable to a binding vow.

For the vibraslap, the bell shaped part is the wooden bit. The ball that broke off wasn't part of the binding vow for Boogie Woogie it doesn't make sound, it's just a place to slap to cause the wooden part to vibrate (You can also grab the ball to stop the vibration, but the ball doesn't actually hit the wooden part) The wooden has a peg through it that has a little metal chip in it that bounces back and forth inside of it, this is what makes the sound. Todo was smacking it against his head to get it to vibrate and the chip is "clapping" that's why he can do it 50 times a second now
The Perfect stage for Boogie Woogie was Todo's inner monologue, because the barrier for Yuta's domain shattered, there's essentially hundreds of shards of cursed energy floating and scattered around for Todo to use
Todo mentions that he has a spare vibraslap, maybe to be used in a later chapter or something, the binding vow that got Angel was Todo breaking the first vibraslap
Yuji's dismantle probably makes it so that it does damage to the soul only if the targets have cursed energy, this is why it didn't cut Sukuna's stomach open. Using it on inanimate objects probably wouldn't violate this

it just wont vibrate and make the noise, but if you shake it up and down, its still the same "motion" as the vibraslap being hit, the ball doesnt touch the bell, the bell just shakes, the ball is a counterweight that makes things vibrate longer

The metal / wood clash happens within the block itself. The ball part is used as a contact point for the “slapping”. So it can still technically work in the way todo is use it albeit at the risk of breaking of the block part.
