@@ColeSpeaks103it was stated in this chapter that the reason for Yujis fast growth was not his talent or hard work, but actually Sukuna in his body using special grade jujutsu (they are going as far as comparing it with muscle memory). Now they used the soulswaping training to get somebody with loots of experience in one aspect (like Kusakabe for cursed energy control and simple domain) in a body of somebody with less experience to give the body the “muscle memory” so they can learn the technique way easier/faster.

Most hand signs we’ve seen in JJK require two hands except the Indra sign, so he probably used a binding vow in order to use it. He’s still using his original hand sign to release the updated cleave when he still had his left hands btw.

First There is Miwa protecting Maki with her Simple Domain.
Second: you can clearly See Yujis LEFT Leg was Cut Off, He Pulls it Back throug His blood and heals it.
Choso did The Same Thing with His Arm against Kenjaku.

Hi there Nick, I think you got a few things wrong, first the Narrator says "By enveloping his Domain in an outer-shelled barrier the biding vow brought about by allowing an escape route disappeared. This not only resulted in narrowed range but also changed the operation of the domain, within the materialized landscape, the sure-hit effect would activate, it would have otherwise been impossible to seize Zen'in Maki unbounded by curse energy" meaning that Sukuna's domain, due to the biding vow, now has a barrier, a smaller range and can target Maki, that is confirmed in the next panels where we can see someone in front of Maki using simple domain ( if you count there's 4 legs anda someone with long hair, probably Miwa but no idea how she got there even with the help of Ui Ui I don't know how he would get inside and out of the domain in time). Second Yuki get's his left foot cut off but seems to reattach it using blood manipulation, like Chooso in his fight against Kenjaku, you can even read the SCWHP sound in the panel and see some black spikes around his left leg being the blood manipulation technique reattaching his foot back, we can't see his right foot because he is kneeling and still getting up after getting hit by Sukuna's slashes not because it got cut off. You're wrong , the narrator was basically explaining why sukuna used an open de instead of a closed de, what you just quoted is basically what would've happened if sukuna used a closed de ( a hypothetical situation)
That being said this translation is horrible because it implies that sukuna used a closed de otherwise it would've been impossible to Trap maki when it's the complete opposite we know that a closed de Can not Trap maki as we've Seen against naoya

Binding vows fit Sukuna’s personality/character perfectly. Sukuna’s whole out look on life is to throw away everything for strength and power. He throws away love, relationships, family, society, etc. It makes sense for him to use binding vows more than anyone because he literally sacrifices things for tangible power.

One) it was said specifically over a decade ago.
Two) understanding how something works and being able to explain it simply is different from actually explaining how to do it. Understanding something well, even perfectly, doesn't mean you're good at explaining it in a manner of teaching.
Simply telling someone how to do something isn't the same as teaching them. Cursed energy manipulation was compared to muscle memory.
Think like how someone can tell you how to do a roundhouse kick and even demonstrate it. But you still wouldn't be able to pull it off without hella practice.

Interesting dichotomy between Sukuna and Yuji, we seen in the recent chapter that Yuji actually uses a much more precise version of cleave/dismantle. Gege points out Yuji is much more intentional like using scissors cutting a column (shown in a panel or two) so he ends up looking more like a surgeon or professional chef compared to Sukuna being more like a butcher. Which makes me feel like Yuji’s “furnace” might be more compressed as well like a sniper as not to cause any unintended damage to anyone aside from who he aims for… which is opposite of Sukuna.

Sasuke actually had reasoning to beat Deidara, and it was explained very well Sasuke had basically a Pokémon type advantage against Deidara. Even the ending of that fight was foreshadowing by the beginning during which Sasuke used a grey snake to block Deidara’s weakest explosion. Sasuke also wasn’t out of chakra Deidara erroneously assumed Sasuke was out of chakra. Sasuke at that point when low on chakra would have his body taken over by Orochimaru which we saw in the Itachi fight. You’re wrong factually.

The brain rot of this community thinking that Sukuna doing what he was alluded to be able to is insane. I doubt anyone has a problem with a character (and the villain no less) abusing something in the power system, but I do have an issue when a nuanced story is showing clear and blatant favoritism. It still makes no sense to me that Miwa sacrificed her greatest combative abilities in order to at least damage Kenjaku yet fail, but Sukuna can whip out a new (admittedly lesser) domain expansion that hasn't decreased in power or in range.
Gege may explain this later, but this allows him to just pull anything out of his ass. Of course he has been using this style of writing for a while, but most of them had some sort of build-up. Like, why are we just now learning that Ui Ui can swap the body/souls of others when that has never been alluded to (at least never been alluded to correctly) at any point in the series. Yuji's entire being has been a mystery for a majority of the story, I can accept when Gege just pull out something because it makes me question and theorize about his existence, but a lot random or convenient things have been going on with Sukuna that are slowly becoming more and more problematic over time.

Saying all binding vows should give similar amps is like saying Yuji's first black flash should be just as strong as Gojo's against Sukuna or that Uzumaki & Hollow Purple are equal bc they're both max techniques.

Why did Yuji's black flashes do nothing then? Choso implied Yuji's punches cancelled out Sukuna's gain from his black flashes, yet it didn't actually do anything. Sukuna basically got his RCT back to heal a bit of his brain to use a domain again despite eating 8 black flashes. So far Yuji making Sukuna's output weaker is pure cap. Sukuna can use seemingly infinite binding vows to circumvent any of Yuji's punches.
@@cheesetomeetyou that's not right. In the chapter, it was stated that Gojo got a boost in RCT thanks to his 2 black flash. Similarly, sukuna should have gotten an increase too after landing 4, but yuuji's punches prevented him from healing. Thus, sukuna was forced to open his domain in an incomplete form and using parts of his brain not affected by gojo's unlimited void. He was slowly getting his domain back while hitting black flashes but yuuji's halted this process, thus leading to an half formed domain, he also could only use it for 99 seconds, which is not much, if you consider that he used it for 2-3 whole minutes straight against gojo more than once.

The angle we see has him standing with his left foot out. He didn't regrow it, he reattached it using blood control and RCT. The first panel has it laying on the ground. The second panel has Yuji *and* his severed foot, attached by a stream of blood, getting blown back. And the third panel has him standing on that foot.
From what I understand, Sukuna's "new" Domain isn't actually new. it's actually his old domain but in an incomplete form. He just used a binding vow to retain its default potency (which is why it only lasts 99 seconds)

Basically, he used the 3 black flashes to restore an incomplete domain, that he can only keep open for 99 seconds (about 1/5th of the normal time)
Black flashes restoring your CT is established, condition changing is established, and the Narrator also said 2 chapters ago that he had 'regained something'
Basically... this is about as far away from an asspull as you can get
Im HOPING that these binding vows will show some sort of consequence for Sukuna in later chapters. In the same way that he locked world slash behind a chant and hand signs in order to (assumedly) release the first world slash against gojo without using his hands. HOPING
Have a theory that sukuna will be the first one to break a binding vow that we have seen in the series and that will be the downfall of him
Sukunas domain binding vow to allow for escape routes and a barrier which it dosent usually have, reduced range and a shorter duration of 99secs
@jj6184 if you actually read the manga you know the only binding vows that have those kind of consequences are ones that are made with other people and are not the ones made with your self
While I 100% agree that Sukuna pulling out a domain was peak "King of Conveniences" activity, I really think people are overselling how much soul damage Yuji's punches are doing. Remember, Urarume establishes that everything that Yuta, Yuji and Maki didn't matter as Sukuna wasn't going all out. In other words, the nerfs he'd received were meaningless as he was never forced to try hard enough to where they would affect his performance.
And while Yuji's punches did cancel out the effects of Sukuna's black flashes, that didn't happen immediately. There was a short point in time when Sukuna was riding the high of 4 black flashes with minimal interference from Yuji. My only way to rationalise his domain is to say he put every ounce of RCT he had into restoring his brain while riding this high, and he was able to plug the remaining gap with some binding vows and other stuff.
Sukuna is smart and the height of Jujutsu and his showing the readers why he is the best but the reader refuse to wait for the next chapter where it's always explained or ihas probably gone over their heads. We know it dosent last as long and it also has a barrier now. Is that the trade off

Idk if you know this, but Gege almost never reveals things immediately. You just have to wait and see in later chapters on what the BV conditions are. This same exact thing happened with the world slash delivered to Gojo. People were complaining, until it was eventually revealed some chapters later. You gotta let things marinate when it comes to this manga.

Just bc Sukuna didn’t use RCT doesn’t mean that his CE didn’t come back from the Black Flashes so that can explain the Shrine and Fuga usage. Malevolent Shrine was incomplete this chapter and Sukuna revealed the name of Furnace which would strengthen the arrow. We also knew that Fuga was coming either way

It's literally stated in the manga how Sukuna got his domain back, but I guess it'd be easier to shit on manga than to actually read.
At the start of the chapter, it is explained that Black Flash does not just randomly recover one's RCT output. Gojo was able to recover his RCT output in chapter 235 because, in his awakened state from the black flash, he was able to create a new pathway for RCT inside his brain.
Gojo didn't repair the one that was damaged; he just used a part of his brain that was undamaged to print an RCT circuit on. Sukuna did a similar thing with his domain. He rewrote the domain circuit on a part of his brain that wasn't damaged by the unlimited void.
The new specific circuit is different from his original domain circuit, as older one had the enmaten handsign assigned to it, but now, since he only has one hand, Sukuna assigned Taishakuten handsign (Gojo's) to it.
Also unlike his original MS which is open while the new is closed it just Target every thing inside the barrier(to include maki)
Feel that people just need to read tcb by this point because most people are just reading badly translated leaks or TH-camrs who don’t give the entire picture or context. Kind of getting annoyed

At the 5:20 mark, it was explained about 2-3 chapters ago that Sukuna is able to use his hand signs with one hand using a binding vow.
What the binding vow is a mystery. I wish Gege would explain what exactly the vows he makes are sooner rather then wait for people to build dumb agendas that he doesn’t explain what stuff does and therefore what the characters does are an ass pull.
But he will explain it eventually. I and many others have started to notice a pattern of how Gege explained techniques and such being used in the series. He’ll first show you a visual representation what is so it gives people the time to craft theories and form a hypothesis about what exactly happened, then a few chapters later it’ll be explained through narration of what exactly the character did to pull something off.
I’ll admit, it’s a very frustrating experience to see this in my first viewing, but when you eventually receive hindsight, the story flows extremely smoothly.
I still like the concept of binging vows. It basically helps to set up your win conditions in trade of something that you either can’t use or don’t need to use. Characters like Gojo and Sukuna are known for being able to break the traditional rules of the power system and it because of very complex and clever binding vows that they place on themselves.
Now that I think about it… 🤔
During the final act of this arc, we’re slowly being throughly reeducated about the power system of curse energy through various of different characters who are talented in those specific areas of curse energy, but the one that we have yet come across yet til this point is binding vows and Sukuna is the only character we know that’s still alive that is extremely good at using them.
So my theory is that Yuji is going to play by Sukuna rules surpass him further by also implementing binding vows to also break the traditional rules of the power system and become the strongest sorcerer that ever existed.
It's an ass pull because sukuna is doing it. Gojo literally "refreshed his brain" and no one said anything except for "well, he is gojo"
I think the binding vow sukuna used this time is the same when he used the world cutting dismantle against Gojo

Yuji isn’t a death painting, he’s just Kenjaku’s son. The death paintings are specifically curse-human hybrids that share Kenjaku’s blood, and therefore are related to Yuji. They’re also called cursed womb: death paintings and not “death womb paintings.”
Another thing is that a black flash amplifies a strike by the power of 2.5 (^2.5), not x2.5. It’s a pretty common mistake that a lot of people (including myself before rereading the manga from the beginning) tend to make tho.

Yuji is still a curse-human hybrid though. The only difference is that Kenjaku was the mother instead of the father and Yuji didn't become a Cursed Womb for some reason. Which I think will be explained later.

@@Azekk_8 Well I actually think Yuji is still a cursed Womb if you consider the chapters titled fearsome womb. The fearsome womb titled chapters start again after Sukuna takes control of Megumi and Yuji starts fighting Sukuna. These chapters had nothing to do with the other death paintings and Yuji is always involved in those chapters.
We know that Kenjaku was doing experiments to create a curse-human hybrid and I doubt the 9 death paintings were the end of it. Kenjaku has to be part curse at this point as well considering how long he has lived.
Yuji being a living cursed object could relate to him being part curse. My theory is that Kenjaku created a hybrid of a curse and a human with Heavenly Restriction to make a living cursed object that could infuse CE and Cursed Techniques from other cursed objects into himself permanently. The narrator itself states that due to casting a barriered domain the operations inside changed, causing a narrowed range, And due to how many binding vows he used to make this high level domain it will break in 99 seconds.

Nick, he didn't get RCT, but his Black Flashes sped up the cool down of his domain. He can heal himself, but his hands took soul damage, so it will take longer. Like Ui Ui said about the Box and it's contents. I dont think he can heal his body without healing his soul first. How do you put a cast on a broken arm that is no longer there? There is no soul hand to wrap around. He's manually pumping his heart because the healing takes a lot of time.
Nick his binding vows from what i can tell are One Handed Openings like Gojo inexchage for No Shrine Wall Barriers to protect the Uzumaki creature. Allowing an escape option to keep the Range and Output.

Nick, Ui Ui cant help other share techniques. Only Yuji is a Perfect Vessel, Human/Curse Hybrid, and a Cursed Object that soaks up CE from those he shares his body with. Higuruma and Kusakabe cant gain anything from it. I doubt Yuta will be able to gain anything aswell. Only Yuji can really take advantage of the Switch Training.

Sounds like he basically quickly constructed a makeshift domain for the sake of immobilizing Yuji. No RCT needed, just risk, skill and understanding in jujutsu, and a handful of binding vows. The binding vows could be anything: the domain being limited to 99 seconds, enclosing it in a barrier (that was still complete according to Yuji), etc. We tend to find out these things later anyways. I also believe the reason it's so malformed now is because the boundary between his and Megumi's soul has been weakened so heavily by Yuji, that the image of his innate domain is merging with Megumi. Just like how we saw that he was having trouble maintaining the awareness of the shape of his own soul.
I also have a crackpot theory that UiUi teleported Gojo and maybe Higuruma's souls into Panda's body to fill the gaps left by his siblings. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sukuna only has one known technique called "Shrine". Cleave, Dismantle, and Furnace are applications of Shrine just like Red, Blue, Hollow Purple and Infinity are applications of the Limitless. Yuji, Kenjaku, and Yuta, if im not mistaken, are the only people with multiple known cursed techniques.

Anyone considered the possibility that Sukuna figured out how Gojo activates his domain, it could be that they use different parts of the brain to activate the domain. Honestly I wouldn't mind the binding vows, IF anyone else actually utilized them to the extent Sukuna has. Like, Binding Vows aren't some elite level technique, its litterally just a vow. And yet Sukuna is the only one to use them to the extent where it feels like his CT is just Unlimited Binding Vows.
Also, how MASSIVE the power ups he gets are, compared to the binding vow. Miwa vowed to never swing a Katana again, the basis of her foundation as a sorcerer, and she couldn't even scratch Kenjakus bare hand. Headcannon if mine I feel that sukuna and his era in general, used binding vows more and know more if the parameters behind it. But it got used less in the passage of time. Also sukuna is just more skilled than all others in jujitsu. I also think for binding cows you can’t create new things but just pull from yourself. Like in the Miwa example because she was weak to begin with she could not make a great use of a binding vow on the other hand sukuna because he has so much power to begins with binding vows are way more useful.
Sukuna obviously learnt how to weave one hand seal from sasuke during the heian era, duh.
With all this new information the way I see it, the Shrine cursed technique has at least two extension techniques along with the Malevolent Shrine Domain.
The first extension of Shrine is the default slashing technique Dismantle. If the user adjusts the slash specifically to one-shot their target it becomes Cleave, but it seemingly requires physical contact unless it's applied to the user's Domain. The most lethal application of this extension technique is the World-Cutting Dismantle which can slash the fabric of space itself.
The second extension technique is Furnace "Open," which takes the form of a flame arrow hotter than even Jogo's flames. It can seemingly also be used as the sure-hit factor for the user's Domain.
Now, Malevolent Shrine can be edited but the standard settings placed by Sukuna divides the slashing technique to Dismantle inanimate objects and Cleave targets with cursed energy. Sukuna can also expand his Domain without a barrier to increase its potency.
I feel like the likelihood of Sukuna being able to absorb cursed techniques, like everyone's been theorizing, is low but not far reaching. It would probably work differently from Yuta's Copy technique, and allow just him to absorb cursed energy onto his own hence his ridiculous amount of cursed energy.
I mean idk if its an asspull when its been very clearly set up that hes able to do binding vows and stuff, and also Gege could bring the negative effects of the binding vow back later as a way of helping in the fight against him

Its already been established that a sorcerers rise in power isnt linear, massive jumps can suddenly happen. Plus yuji has been in sukunas body while he used his domain which we now know will improve yujis ability to use a domain
My guess is that the reason this ass pull happened was because we still need more plot reveals and details. who knows what comes next but my thoughts are that if we got the reveals we have so far before the very start of the fight, then pacing would most likely have been improved significantly. Because we still HAVE A LOT to cover if we want to close up this story in a satisfying way. Just my two cents though.

Actually I think this makes sense. If you think about it, weak in itself is relative to the person. For a strength trainer or powerlifter, their weakest point or base strength/power after they have exhausted their max, are still pretty strong in comparison to other's outside of their level. Sukuna has years to increase his base form and thats outside of all the potential curses/people he may have eaten. This was what made Gojo just ridiculous. After awakening, at his base form and blind folded, he became untouchable. People struggled with just that.
I wold not say this is plot armor, but it is a plot fortress.
What he somund isnt his real domain, it is more like a hojpoj of barier tech and infused CT's helld together with bindingn voes and and prayers, what ever he sacrefised will most likely be brought up later, but it seems it whas made so he can use his Fuga without geitng punced in the face. 2) Ui Ui's technique allows him to mark things to teleport to other marked locations. He's able to mark peoples souls or their bodies individually if he wants. Mark two different souls and use the opposite bodies as the location to teleport them and you've now got a soul swap. Ui Ui can do the soul swap however many times he wants, the problem is they don't have much time to train. This training is why Yuta said they cheated.
3) Yuji's RCT cost probably about half about what other's does since he can directly convert CE into blood just like every other DWP can (they can do this because they are half Curse spirit and curse spirits can recover with just CE).
4) Yuji repairs his leg the same way Choso repaired his arm against Kenjaku.
5) The swap training only works to a certain extent, Yuji can use it freely due to him having basically been doing it with Sukuna for months at this point. There for his body is already prepped to handle upper level techniques.
6) Yuji's body has been stated on several occasion to be special which is why he's capable of being a cage for Sukuna or absorbing the CE from cursed objects.
7) Maki was protected from Sukuna's frankenstein domain thanks to Miwa using simple domain to protect the both of them. Miwa NOT useless.
8) The black flashes have a real scale problem as of the last couple of chapters. That being said, Yuji did seven, one of the black flashes from last chapter was Sukuna's.
9) Sukuna has one techinque, the slashes and fire are all attached to his technique (shrine). Translations suggest Sukuna's technique is cooking/kitchen based. This is why Cleave/Dismantle are depicted as kitchen knives and why his flames are referred as "furnace" or "kitchen hearth
10) Reading this manga week to week has been pretty hard for this arc with all the ebbs and flows of the community. Sukuna be cheating. Sorcerers are con artists and Sukuna is the king of them all. Light years ahead of basically any other one. Asspulls are no longer surprising.

Bro forgot that you cant use rct for both recovering the body and the technique at the same time, explained in the fight between gojo and sukuna where gojo uses simple domain to win time until his technique recovers.

Binding Vows of the kind where you exchange something for a power boost or a get out of jail free card carries a ( typically ) permanent nerf that can only be overcome if you know how to properly exploit a loophole like Kenjaku, Hikari and Sukuna....
@@theonewayroad3867 i know you have to exchange something but its isn't an equal exchange. Sukuna nerf his world cutting slash to insta kill gojo thats a small exchange for what he accomplish. especially since gojo was recovering.
If you read it it says the there was a binding vow to allow for escape routes and range but now he has swapped those conditions. The trade off has already been explained

It's practically the same as Hikari's Binding Vow, in exchange for being able to survive Kashimo's attack he game his ability to use his Domain Expansion by sacrificing his arm but was able to circumvent that by simply having someone else heal his arm effectively letting get all benefits and non of the drawbacks.
Sukuna does the same thing by adding the requirement of having to direct the World Slash while performing the Handsigns he makes it physically impossible to perform without three hands, three hands that he didn't have as Megukuna in exchange for being able perform the Slash thid once without the Handsigns that a pretty fucking fair trade to me....
You're wrong about Sukuna's Domain. Domain doesn't necessitate reverse curse energy, it is a combination of curse technique and barrier technique, so it makes sense that he can still use it after amping through Black Flashes
