    Any reason why you didn't put a thicker top plate or snap ring in that 3-4 clutch to get less clearance? Depending on the driver it' will probably be alright the way you left but just wanted your thoughts.

    • @IrocinZ
      @IrocinZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because that is the top plate that was part of the kit, and it was Still in spec for what Raybestos wants. He said the shifts are nice and crisp, better than before, so I'd say I'm good...lol

      @@billmonroe8826 if it was too loose, I would have used the supplied plate they sent with the kit. If that didn't work, I would have gotten a selective backing plate to get the clearance within spec

      @@IrocinZ That's what I needed to know. That they do make a selective plate. That answers my question. thanks, Smitty

    I have a 4L60e that slowly starts to overheat after 60-90 minutes of run time then starts to shift hard. It does have an external cooler. Any thoughts?

    • @IrocinZ
      @IrocinZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Id say you have a restriction in the cooler flow somewhere, whether it be in the cooler flow, or lack of air flow across the coolers. There is also a chance the torque converter clutch is not working and creating excessive heat. But it will usually set a code for that. How hot is it getting? And how are you getting the temperature?

      @@caseyott7463 I would verify that temp with a mechanical Guage and if it's incorrect, you'll need to replace the pressure manifold switch on the valvebody as it holds the temp sensor. It could have an issue with the internal harness too, but I would want to do some diagnosis first...
