@Old Crow ---Ward *might* have been as good as Bonham.. maybe. He is Top 10 in my book. Black Sabbath albums had terrible management and screwed the band over. The band also had terrible production. Zeppelin are still kings with more range and diversity but Sabbath was also very good..
Fun fact, the guitarist, Tonni Iommi had two or three finger tips removed on his feet hand in a industrial metal factory while the band was coming up. He made his own prosthetic finger tips and retaught himself to play.
I suppose you mean hand. Thats why i he had his guitar strings so loose tightened and had that special sound that has been gimiked by so many other bands.

I actually have 2 tickets to see Ozzy and was NOT able to see him either time!!!! One ticket was to Ozzfest in Atlanta and the other was to see him in Tampa! And my best friend has one as well to Ozzfest. It really SUCKS that I've had 2 tickets in my hands and didn't make it either time. But yeah I've jammed to Ozzy my .whole life in one way or aother lol!
They were still experimenting with a few of the lyrics here. This is somewhere in Paris in 1970. Ozzy was 20 or 21. Tony Iomni (guitarist) cut the tips of 2 of his fingertips off the last day he worked in a factory. Doctors told him he'd never play again. He created prosthetic fingertips for himself because he wasn't willing to give up music and they'd just formed Black Sabbath

I was lucky when i got to see Black Sabbath reunion concert in New York 1999. I was only 18. i still cant forget that. They are the grandfather of metal and a pioneer. I would suggest please react to iron Maiden. They are hands down one of the, if not THE best live band to watch. Their catalog is ridiculously huge and they are one of the most influential metal band of all time. I suggest The Clansman live at Rock in RIO 2001. Hallowed be Thy Name is likely their most famous song. You can literally pick any songs from any of their live concert and it will blow you away. Up The Irons

Anyway, I was a black boy from Watts?brought up on The Temptations mostly any 70s soul. Sabbath was my very first rock concert. Un fuckin believable. That was the start of my new outlook on rock and the many concerts I would experience over the next 20 years. By the way, I was the one who invited you down the rabbit hole. I just had to let Zepp set in and soak in before I mention other bands. I ended up a quite a few concerts. Geezer was the first bass player I was amazed. He was all over the place while Tony stood in one place and jammed. Ozzy was and still is off the hook !! An amazing show to start my rock and roll trip !!! And we were trippin none stop. Cooliest ride of my life at a critical time of my life. Some of the best times of my life

When you listen to rock, that's the function of the bass in a lot of ways, it's like the translator from the drums rhythm to the guitars pitch. First heard Ozzy at 15 at a 2 day outdoor music festival. It was hot people were trying to trade pot and beer for water pbj sandwiches.
