Good job. Not Korean - LIKE's are made in China by the Taiwanese company KYMCO. The LIKE200i is one of Kymco's most reliable scooters!....also very easy to service at home.

Taiwan isn't a part of China technically. China's just trying to swallow another island state

Could you do a video on how to test and replace the stator on this Kymco?

I installed a new solenoid/relay but still wont turn over. ignition works, power out of the push button , kill switch turns bike on and off still . I can jump the relay and it starts right up????? Brand new junk solenoid maybe ????

I have a 2012 Kymco like 50 2t and when I press the ignition and try to start my scooter, the starter relay makes a clicking noise under the seat. Have checked the battery voltage and it is Good. Starter motor won't engage to start the engine. I have read that if the starter relay clicks and doesn't start the starter motor that it needs to be replaced. Is this True?

Hey Resto... I have that identical scooter & have gone thru 3 solenoids...The problem is the starter will come on all by itself and won't stop running until I disconnect the battery... What a pain... And when I check the solenoid with an ohm meter is shows shorted.. A new one tests ok & will work for a while & than it goes shorted... I have my scooter in my storage shed and recently went & started it to get the oil circulating etc. & I was just standing there watching it run nicely and all of a sudden the starter engaged & I was not even touching the scooter... Pitts... Looks like I will need t replace the solenoid again...I can't quite figure out why this is happening... I Also checked the starter switch & wiring & could see no problem there... Any ideas.???

Hi Dennis, I still get intermittent issues with the starter from time to time - nothing me preventing using the scooter through. I would imagine it is the design issue rather than anything else or perhaps wider issue with the wiring or the starter switch (which might be faulty rather than the solenoid) - so perhaps worth checking there as well. Good luck!

Hi there I just got a new battery and bike not starting at all
So my issue looks like it may be the same ?
I don’t get any sound from my motor though just a little click could this be the same thing?
Lastly do you have to disconnect the battery to take out and install new part?

      Hi Daniel,
It could be either the starter motor or the relay. The easiest way to check is to hot wire starter to the batter - if it works, then definitely the same issue i.e. the relay (not working) needs replacement.
If when hotwiring the starter doesn't work - then it could be the starter problem.
All above said only if the battery is in a good shape. And you do not need to disconnect it but always a good idea.
      Hope that helps!

Hi Daniel - that is strange as for the ignition circuit to work the key need to be in the "On" position. Other than the fuses the only thing I can think about is the ignition switch itself is not firing the accessories correctly and that might be the reason. The fuses would've been my first point of check but it seems you have done that already,
