I can only think of one puzzle that sort of resembles the trick; Newton's Gravity-Defying Puzzle you need to remove a wooden plug without touching the puzzle and need to blow on the puzzle causing the air to rush under the plug popping it out.
Your joy at finding the solution to these puzzles is infectious. It's probably why I enjoy watching your content so much. Definitely unique as far as I can tell but I'm no puzzle expert 😀
Alexander Scheurer I’m pretty sure this is the intended way, because the confetti covers the hole, and when you push the box down, it shoots the confetti everywhere! Really clever, beautifully crafted box by Cubicdissection- everything he makes is a little work of art!
You got me in the woods this time. I only knew the padauk wood. The other 2, I wasn’t sure. Happy 2020🥂. I will be in-touch when I’m in Germany this year. 19 was the first year in 10 I didn’t make it to Germany. My very best
Wow that is one beautiful box, both in looks and in how it opens.I am officially awestruck. What a puzzle to start the year with.Im looking forward to seeing what puzzles you show this year Mr Puzzle.
If u want to try something new this year, I think it would be awesome to watch u play Portal. I don’t know if u have a good computer, or a PlayStation or Xbox, but Portal 2 is one of the best puzzle games ever made and it would be cool to watch u play it, livestream it, invite friends over and play co op maybe, i think it’d be a cool change.
Nice! Very interesting system indeed for a puzzle. I think it works the same as when you have 2 windows wide open in your house, and all of a sudden a door slams closed because of the flow of the wind when it is very windy outside. Never would have thought of that hehe. Happy 2020 to you also Mr. Puzzle!
Great puzzle box! Have a nice year and thank you very much for the videos and for the free shipping coupon from Puzzle Master which allowed me to get some interesting items down to South America.
Super cool. So the hole on top would be so as you have to push it down quite fast and with purpose, even once you have blocked the 2 side holes. Which shows that you have an understanding of what to do and why, rather than just stumbling upon it without knowing what you're doing exactly.
Love your reviews, but it would be nice to hear your post-solve comments and puzzle score (1-5) without viewing the actual solution. If we could jump right to the score and post-solve comments, it would give us enough information to decide if the puzzle is worth purchasing.
Happy New Year Mr Puzzle! Thank you for the videos - I look forward to 2020's new puzzle videos. Peace and love to you and alll good things in this new year.
I'd imagine the hole in the lid was just so as you have to push it down quite fast and with purpose, even once you have blocked the 2 side holes. Which shows that you have an understanding of what to do and why, rather than just stumbling upon it without knowing what you're doing exactly.
I think the hole on top serves the purpose to relieve some pressure. Otherwise someone might ram the top part down hard and the lid would fly into their face, pending on how close they had it, lol.
I would love to see you and Chris Ramsay collaborate! Meet up and film a video where you both try to solve the same puzzle at the same time, and see who can solve it the fastest. Friendly Competition if you will!
Mr. P. ... How about a New Years' resolution? Will you notate in the description below the time timestamp of the spoiler break so that we can get right to the action? Please and Thank you.
I love this puzzle, this is my first Eric Fuller design build puzzle. And now I am hooked. Anything Eric produces from here on out, I will be first in line. He has some serious puzzles coming out in 2020, keep a look out on cubicdissection.com. I hope you can review more of his work this year Brian. Keep up the good work!
Hey, Mr P.. thanks for the great videos. Sometimes I need to turn the sound off but there is only an option for auto-generated captions in German - it doesn’t know you are speaking English! Is there something you can do? Keep on puzzling! ☺️
Would it work to just hold it upside down and hit it with a little force? Those magnets don't seem like they're too strong and a quick jolt might break them loose,

SPOILER WARNING ......... It's better to have the box oriented upside-down so when you execute the move, the pieces of confetti cover the hole in the lid to help it pop open. It also makes the confetti come out which is a nice surprise.
Ever seen a similar solution? Still amazed! :D
The screen on the bottom is to prevent the confetti from accidentally blocking the holes! Ingenious!
Your Fan and regular viewer from Afghanistan
The Popplock T8 has similar solution. But it's not that easy to get your hands on one...
I can only think of one puzzle that sort of resembles the trick; Newton's Gravity-Defying Puzzle you need to remove a wooden plug without touching the puzzle and need to blow on the puzzle causing the air to rush under the plug popping it out.
Frohes neues Jahr Grüße aus der Slowakei !!!
It seems like if you push the box down hard enough, it's supposed to open the lid and blow the confetti out the top in one motion.
Very simplistic yet difficukt design..I REALLY love thjis one
This is my first TH-cam video choice of the new decade and I love it! Great puzzle.
I love how you describe the materials of the puzzle. Especially wooden ones.
was honestly expecting you to open the box and have confetti launch out at your face
like a snake in the can ordeal!
Your joy at finding the solution to these puzzles is infectious. It's probably why I enjoy watching your content so much. Definitely unique as far as I can tell but I'm no puzzle expert 😀
Aww I absolutely love the colourful confetti inside it 😊
Really clever! And gorgeous woodworking too!
This is an ingenious puzzle! Thanks for sharing it
The mechanism of this puzzle is super brilliant.
Awesome!
Very surprising technique needed to open.
That’s an amazing mechanism for a wooden puzzle box!
A wonderful way to begin the decade! Great video as always. Here's to a great year of puzzling!
Love the way the solution works on this one
if you tip it upside down, the confetti will cover the top hole, and make it pop out easier with less air escaping.
What a beautiful puzzle. The wood looks so nice.
Very unique mechanism
Nice solve & hope that you have another terrific year of puzzle solving Mr. Puzzle.......... 👍👍
truly ingenious. what a puzzle. such a whimsical solution.
Awsome way to solve, would love to see future puzzles use similar techiques!!!!!
Happy PERFECT VISION!!! 😁
2020 is going to be the start of an amazing new decade. ThanQ Mr. Puzzle!
It should work even more reliable (and might even be intended that way), turn the puzzle upside down so the confetti blocks the hole.
Alexander Scheurer I’m pretty sure this is the intended way, because the confetti covers the hole, and when you push the box down, it shoots the confetti everywhere! Really clever, beautifully crafted box by Cubicdissection- everything he makes is a little work of art!
Happy new puzzling year!
Happy new year Mr. Puzzle! Thanx a lot for your entertaining and intriguing channel.

You got me in the woods this time. I only knew the padauk wood. The other 2, I wasn’t sure.
Happy 2020🥂. I will be in-touch when I’m in Germany this year. 19 was the first year in 10 I didn’t make it to Germany.

Happy New Year!!
How ingenious! What a fun puzzle with a festive surprise 😊
That top hole prevents that piece from popping out to hard i think. Best wishes for 2020!
Yes, I think so too.
That's an amazing idea! Love it, want it.
Ouch. Little too steep on price for me.
Amazingly clever.

damn that intro was CLEAN
This reminds me of the Crafting Table in Minecraft
When he hits it at 0:56, it sounds like a button being pushed in Minecraft.
The intro tho 🔝🔝
"Happy New Year!" 🎇
Great puzzle box! Have a nice year and thank you very much for the videos and for the free shipping coupon from Puzzle Master which allowed me to get some interesting items down to South America.
Happy New Year 🎄🎅🎁⭐👍😀
Cool
Happy New Year from Finland!
It was made last year ... awww, seems like only yesterday. :)
Lol, last decade! 😄 Time lol, it goes so FAST now! 😬
Happy PERFECT VISION! 2020 is gona be an eye opener, for sure!!!
👀👍
Ha ha ha

Happy New Years
Happy New year 2020 Mr Puzzle :D
Happy New Year, keep on puzzling !!🎊🎉😎
Do a full video uncut of you doing a extremely hard puzzle for a live stream
Loved the intro!
Glad to hear that, thanks! :)
The hole is to prevent it opening with a normal push
Love your reviews, but it would be nice to hear your post-solve comments and puzzle score (1-5) without viewing the actual solution. If we could jump right to the score and post-solve comments, it would give us enough information to decide if the puzzle is worth purchasing.

Happy New Year Mr Puzzle
Hey Mr. Puzzle! I haven't seen you since last decade, dude!
This decade ends 31 December 2020, dude. You are a bit early.
@@lapsijahti Wrong
TheLastScampi unlike centuries, decades are not offset by a year.
My guess is that the air actually blows the confetti to the top and block the hole on the lid so that it pops open more easily?
I'd imagine the hole in the lid was just so as you have to push it down quite fast and with purpose, even once you have blocked the 2 side holes. Which shows that you have an understanding of what to do and why, rather than just stumbling upon it without knowing what you're doing exactly.
Get what you get, and don't throw a fit. For all you new parents to tell your kids. Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year Mr. Puzzle : )
Good video

Smart
👍👍

Complete the puzzle while hungover. This is the way.
Fancy intro. Nice.
Edit: Typo.
Mr. P. ... How about a New Years' resolution? Will you notate in the description below the time timestamp of the spoiler break so that we can get right to the action? Please and Thank you.

Hey, Mr P.. thanks for the great videos. Sometimes I need to turn the sound off but there is only an option for auto-generated captions in German - it doesn’t know you are speaking English! Is there something you can do? Keep on puzzling! ☺️
Hmmm,
in my other videos, it's English but this particular one seems to be German!?
I don't know the reason but will try to find out.
Happy and successful 2020. Can confirm, it was... n't. 😅
Couldn't you block the small top hole with a finger too?
The hole in the top is to avoid a vacuum and direct the air flow I imagine
You can just turn the box upside down so that the confetti blocks the hole in the lid.
Would it work to just hold it upside down and hit it with a little force? Those magnets don't seem like they're too strong and a quick jolt might break them loose,
I was not able to get it out by shaking it.
I’ll bet the lid was too sensitive to being blown open so they added that hole to make it a bit harder to do.
Also to let air in to allow anything to move at all. There's no wiggle room so I could imagine it's quite airtight.
I'd imagine the hole in the lid was just so as you have to push it down quite fast and with purpose, even once you have blocked the 2 side holes. Which shows that you have an understanding of what to do and why, rather than just stumbling upon it without knowing what you're doing exactly.
So good intro jajaja
15.06 Paul is the winner
Wins !
Hmm, so it's still air based. I was thinking you need to blow air at the top hole, and something would come out... Close enough. :)
Will probably also work with the bottom holes.
2:53 What was the "Yo!" sound about when you removed the pin?
The hole in the top was to push the confetti out of the box with the lid.
SPOILER WARNING ......... It's better to have the box oriented upside-down so when you execute the move, the pieces of confetti cover the hole in the lid to help it pop open. It also makes the confetti come out which is a nice surprise.
Maybe confetti was part of the solution and plugged the hole
Where can you buy these? Love this!
Video description
My guess is the hole in the top allows out just enough air out so the puzzler doesn't solve it by accident.
Yes, I think so too
the puzzle was secretly pandoras box
so what holds the lid on. is it magnets
Yes
