I'm happy with Prime Inc. I'm retired Navy, I came to Prime not knowing a thing about trucking. I originally came to Prime wanting to be a company driver. Just send me here, there, wherever... But after talking to a couple of Mentors, I found out that there are things I didn't like about going Co. so I went Lease. So glad i did. Prime takes care of everything except the actual driving part. in return they get 28% of the revenue. Now I'm coming up on my lease completion and I'm considering Lease Purchase. Huge step in just 3 years. I'm happy with Prime and Thank you Rob Low.

I just joined from DART. Completed a lease there but needed an upgrade on my 2017 t680. DART was really going down in the dumps with a lot of stuff too...brokering cheap freight..well i cant run off of $1 loads.
I opted for an 8 month lease on a 21 freightliner. Its mt second week and tomorrow will be my first check on revenue.
Orientation was great and their mainteance service was outstanding. I found a few issues wirh the lease truck and pulled it into the bay also to pick up some supplies and i was in and out in an hour including two new drives replaced and rotated. Dart would have taken like 3 days to even approve anything etc. Downtime is a killer for a lease op so the way this was handled was impressive to me.
Great communication with my driver manager. Lets see how much comes out the bottom end on this first settlement ❤...but im sold regardless on it. I put all my stuff in storage so i really have no bills. Plan on living in the truck for now 😊.

You do a 3 year lease at the end you pay $100 for the title the tractor is yours. Pay around $1000 a week for the tractor payment ($156,000). Question is if you finish your lease you get $30,000? Is that to give them the tractor back?

Always enjoy your videos. Appreciate your honesty and view point.
I have a question about the lease purchase. Prime says that after you pay off the truck, your profit will jump because you don't have a weekly truck payment anymore and you are now a truck owner. However, as I understand it, Prime is limiting the truck age to 5 years, thus forcing you to either lease another truck, or leaving them and taking your truck elsewhere.
Maybe you can do a video about that and your feelings about that policy.
Thanks again for your content and honesty. Be safe out there diver.

Thanks for doing that video breaking it all down. I agree with your assessment for thr LP. If you keep up on maintenance and can get 1 million miles out of the truck, and the truck is still looking good, you should be able to run it.
When you own it you can take a little more home time and not stress about a payment for the time home. However, without a truck payment, prime isn't making additional money anymore, and you are not running as hard as you would if you have a payment so they're loosing their 28% that they are used to getting when you are always out.
All in all, I think that prime offers the best lease with the best chance of completing a lease.
Thanks again for your view point and time you took to make the video.
You guys be safe out there.

Great informative video. I know this video is a couple of months old but it just came across my page this morning. Last year I leased a truck with primes ugly little sister Wilson they do the same thing with students that Prime does and I do not understand it. That student is primes employee not mine. That is why I absolutely refused to train when I was with Wilson. That being said there’s a lot of things that I didn’t like. The amount of deadhead was ridiculous. Last April I was sitting on Prime‘s yard in Salt Lake City, and I had to deadhead to Greeley Colorado to pick up a load because there was “freight in Salt Lake City“ I was in Alabama once after making a delivery they wanted me to deadhead to Kansas City. My reply was if you think I’m deadheading 800 miles you need a random. Not being able to take the empty trailer home on my home time Was a pain in the ass every time I went home I had to drive two hours past my house to drop the empty and then go home and then go back to hours to pick up the empty. All that being said I had more negative pay periods than I had positive, and after about eight months, I finally said enough is enough and moved on.. Where am I at now I have never been more successful as a lease and I’ve been doing this since 2016 with my LLC. My fix cost are roughly the same $301 a week not counting my truck payment which is 1086. I wish you nothing but success in the future, and I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more of your content. God bless and be safe Lord knows nobody else is lol

Prime is a different beast all together. So much so that they can get FSC but also get fuel contract with all kinds of fuel places because Prime is so huge. 7000 power units, 14000 trailers, that will get you fuel discounts all over the country. On top of not paying pump price, you get FSC. Prime tries to maintain about $5k/wk avg gross for their lease/lease ops. Spot market offering $1.20/mi....ain't no fuken way you're hitting $5k/wk gross.

@chrisboling90 damn, so sorry to hear that! I know Prime is a damn good place but keep this in mind if that is happening with freight w/ contract protected rates imagine whats happening on the Spot market with corrupt, crooked ass, brokers trying to take it all? Might as well go company and stay away from all the O/O shit. Good luck!!

I think the real problem with people and leasing is when they cant get there way and they want to leave they cant take the truck. Which means they have to start over. I could be wrong idk

"There's not a company that gets that big without doing something right" yea brother exploiting their labor that's how they got so big paying 44 cpm to their drivers when rates were 3 to 4 a mile 💀

Are you able to adjust the speed on a prime truck if your a lease purchase driver that 65 is a bit slow.

Highly doubt it. Some prime guys are governed at 62 and they are a huge safety issue

@@JoshualibbyyPretty sure they’re just not using cruise control to get an extra 3mph. The only company I can think of that’s still at 62 is Trans am

If the freight is good then it makes sense on a percentage pay basis.
Lease op is isnt truly a lease op 1099 situation. Ur basically still an w2 employee lol. The whole “own your own company “ is bs
