Industry is as strong as its employees. Truckers, however, are some of the dumbest and ignorant people alive. Whose fault is it? - not for stupid people but, for stupid people in the industry - government. How can one expect to have smart people in an industry when immigrants, who cannot speak English, pass a test in English. Also, no math nor English proficiency is checked. So, of course there are a lot of stupid and ignorant people in the industry. This bunch, mostly, is so stupid - they are the only employees who agree to waste 75+ % of own life on the road, do not expect their employees to put them in at least 3 star, or any star, hotel, or even Proper payment for services rendered. They have no retirement, do not even come close to earning $150k a year, for all of this time being spent working. One word? - stupid. Also industry is so desperate for more stupid and younger employees, they are going to high schools and trying to recruit straight from school.

Prime is good for new drivers trying to get there license who don't have money to pay for school. I think its not a better school out there with there program and you get paid while you train..

Hello there driver, Just getting back into the trucking scene after a 20 year hiatus. I have over a million miles experience but that make no difference these days because the all seem to want recent experience. I’m fresh out of school (not by choice, by law) with a class A, doubles/triples and a tanker endorsement with no recent experience. Do you think prime would be interested in hiring me to be a company driver? No accidents or tickets on my record. Do they offer a refresher course? If not Prime do you know who else may be interested? I appreciate any suggestions or feedback you may have for me. Thank you and take care

Thank you so much for this video, this is a game changer. Fyi trying to do this on an android sucks. The only way to do it to the T is iPhone or IPad so much simpler. So thank goodness I have android and an iPad. Now I'm just wondering when I get rid of books and books of freakin trip sheets that I won't need anymore.

So the forward facing cameras think it like this you go to a grocery store right or a bank they're going to be watching you people got to realize does it say your name on the side of the truck no then stop complaining about the forward facing cameras they're doing it because they have to cover their butts because a lot of people get out in front of us truck drivers and we're basically a big billboard sign you go down up and down these roads and you see these signs saying that we'll get money for truck drivers that's why it's always good to cover your butt with these forward facing cameras

Thanks my brother you're absolutely correct with everything that you're saying you're definitely shooting everybody straight. I work for prime for 4 years as a trainer I completed my lease in 2011. At the time I chose to get off the road because I had three sons at home that I hadn't seen much of so I kind of took a Hyannis. But unfortunately I wasn't paying attention and I let my driver license expire so when I went to renew him they took my CDL all of my license but now I am on my way back to prime and I will have to go to their training as the same thing that I used to do isn't that ironic just thought I'd give you a shout out for shooting everybody straight tell him I like it is brother thank you

In Australia we have had inward and outward facing cameras that were installed by insurance companies. The trucking companies didn’t want them. The insurance companies made them put them in. As they wouldn’t be covered. Prime will be putting them in to help reduce the insurance costs across the whole fleet. But the people that have an issue with the cameras know that they constantly do things while driving that they shouldn’t.

Trucking companies here in Australia have had them for over 10 yrs now. The first ones that got put in was but the insurance companies because they wouldn’t be able to get insurance otherwise. Due to the frequency of accidents. The same reasons will be for prime. To get better insurance rates as everything will be documented at all times. And what your all forgetting is your all replaceable. As I’m sure prime has 10 or more people applying for every driver they currently have driving right now. The camera weeds out the hacks and lifts up the professional drivers. As it has here in Australia. And makes them a valuable asset to that company.

I’ve actually put to the test of the trailers watching the temps, box temps raised faster with the reefer running vs off. A lot of docks don’t have the inside as cold area it’s a dry area then moved thru doors to enter the actual cold storage space. So you’re just cooling off the dock area. I also let 90 know the reefer turns off when it’s in the dock so if they’re not ready at that moment to unload then don’t put me in a door. Haven’t had an issue.

It sounds of the same with Prime their just cut throat like the rest of the industry

There is nothing in the contract that allows prime to put cameras in the truck.

I have had my CDL - A with my doubles triple, tank, and Hazmat. I have been able to drive roll off 32 foot straight truck, but I have been applying for many companies to drive tractor trailer but every company I’ve applied for I haven’t had any luck getting a seat with a trainer. At this point I’ll drive for free just so I can get behind the wheel.. what can a new driver do to get a foot in the door.

Prime will go back to company drivers as soon as the market turns and There are more 3 AND 4$ A mile LOADS Available prime KNOWS You can't run a truck long-term for 2 bucks. A mile A series of breakdowns. And you're done.

Please, let new drivers know the real true about the company. All this stuff are ok, but also people need to know how the industry work, what Project me is doing right now. New drivers can be in a financial hole and company don’t care about it. My experience was not the best, no everyone going to have the same experience, but, is good to talk the true all the time. Maybe you can make more money in TH-cam that drive by prime Inc…

I agree with you 100% that it should be a two year requirement for both TNT and PSD. If you get a TNT trainer went through his training in the summer there is no way that comes fall or winter they will be ready to start training themselves without ever having a winter under their belt winter driving is a whole lot different than summer driving
