Raelsid Ben's an innovator. I wouldn't be doing these Vlogs had it not been for his inspiration. Surfing ability doesn't matter... Ben rips and rides what he wants to have fun. Everyone gets joy out of riding different crafts, and he rips that little twinny. If you put me on it, i'd be struggling haha. His stoke is contagious and his character is epic, and that is all that matters.

The perfect mix of high quality vlogging, top notch surfing, and a nice dose of real life; extremely enjoyable to watch. And this is coming from a guy who has been bodyboarding for 18 years. I'll probably never give up the boogie for certain waves but guys like you make me wanna surf more! (I've been having an affair with a 5' 8" twin fin fish for the past few months).
I've come over from Ben's. You kill it Brett! At 68 yrs old and surfing for 55 of those (my worn out wheels have me relegated to big boards now) the stuff you younger guys pull off astounds me! That said, my first look at your surfing reminded me of a guy I surfed with a lot that you may have heard of, Jeff Crawford. "Quick and Foxlike". Ride on young brother!

I'm curious about something, why do most of the vlogs I watch have the same type of music? It's always tech-beats with altered high pitch baby vocals. I love the content of the vlogs I watch but the music really grinds my brain and it's the same on almost every vlog. FYI I'm simply a viewer, I've never vloged so I'm completely lost on the subject. I always think... If I was making a video of people surfing I'd put some non-electronic music over it or at least something enjoyable.
So for the Vlogs, you need royalty-free music. Most people use one specific site they get all their music from, and pay a monthly fee to use the music from it. Unfortunately through the music catalogs, almost all of the rock or punk music is really corny. The best music on the websites typically happens to be electronic stuff. For me, I search really hard to find decent songs. Sometimes though, after searching for a long time, time is money, so you just have to pick one and go with it, even if it isn’t the best. I do have some good songs in different genres of music saved, but the mood of the music has to fit the mood of the surfing, and none of them worked for these sessions. Music is the hardest part about these videos... some come out better than others for sure.

It seems to me that if you and a few other vloggers you know put some money together and got in touch with the right people or the right recording studio / web designers you guys might be able to create a royalty free music site specifically for vloggers. You could get a record label incorporated into it and sign a bunch of up-and-coming Independent artist and help launch a whole new generation of music that people first here on their favorite vlogs. You guys should get on that. Million dollar idea of the week.
Justin Mail that’s exactly what the sites are that we use. Like I use EpidemicSound and pay a TH-cam creator subscription fee, so it’s affordable. But if anyone wants to just use the songs for one-off videos, it’s expensive. They work with TH-camrs exactly how you’re describing. There are other sites that do the same thing, but I believe epidemic has the best selection of music
