I’m pretty sure it didn’t take much but you’ve convinced me that Cyprus needs to be at the top of my bucket list now! The views, the churches, the trails, and the food! I’m in love and you’re totally right, it felt very much like mainland Greece! I hope everything goes well with your surgery, Dan! Travel safe friends!

I genuinely hope you loved spending time in the beautiful island of Cyprus. The so called "northern" part of Cyprus has been under illegal occupation following Turkey's illegal invasion in 1974. To this day, northern Cyprus is a de facto state recognised ONLY by Turkey, by virtue of it being illegal. People were killed, raped, forced out of their houses and became refugees inside of their own country. I therefore ask kindly, out of respect for the tragic events of 1974, and the ongoing mental struggle of living in a divided, partly occupied *European Union* country, to consider NOT visiting the illegally occupied part of the island. Thank you for considering

Great vlog about Cyprus. I left Cyprus when I was 15, traveled and lived in many parts of the world. ( no not 100)! Now, contemplating to come full circle back to Cyprus to live there. Your vlog probably will validate my decision. Many thanks

Loooved the Herb garden restaurant and the private boat tour i took on cristal bleu water near Polis, Paphos with its lovely promenade and archeology site, the beautiful aphrodite beach!!! North Nicosia was special with the turkish border. Larnaca and Limassol are great to visit also. Even learned To mâle halloumi cheeze 😋Good luck for your operation! Enjoy your visit of your 100th country. Slow travelling is cool too 😉

Dear Boys,I'm SO happy you enjoyed Cyprus so much, though its been a few years since I used to visit regularly, its still a favourite destination AND you neither made it up into or even mentioned the mountains. Where at right time of year you can ski in morning & beach/swim in afternoon!
It is truly a jewel of a place, such a shame about the political situation, that still cuts the island in two, having been up along the boarder, you didn't miss much, because the military reminder of the past, takes away from the pleasure of where one is able to go with ompunity.
Again loving the impromptu ABBA extras, thanks.
Dan,good luck with your operation, but,am sure you'll have a very sweet nurse to look after you?
Such a pleasure, vicariously living through you both,as ever. Take good care;safe journeys & see you soon💥👊❤💯💙💙👌👏👏👏👋⭐'s💯✌

Everyone please visit Cyprus!! It’s a beautiful country. Larnaca bay, McKenzie beach (take photos in the ocean with aeroplanes landing in the back), nissi beach, Limassol, Lefkara (adorable village) surrounded by mountains and known for silver and lace, Paphos and Troodos mountains, in winter you can ski there but it’s also beautiful in summer for hikes/nature.

great video! small caution about the north of cyprus, it is not recognized internationally and is considered occupied/invaded land, sort of like how crimea is not recognized to be part of russia internationally (nor should it be). of course that is not necessary a reason not to go, just important to have the context that both the north and south of the island had both majority greek and turkish majority populations mixed throughout until Turkey invaded it

My top tips for when you get 100th country 1. Have a vegan party with a 100 cake 2. Make a list of 5 favourite countries 3. Choose some places/experiences you’d like to do again or perhaps with more time you would have done before. I had to laugh Dan when you said Lidl reminded you of Sweden ha ha You must come to the west of England and tell me if my Lidl reminds you of Sweden ha ha 😂

Hi Oscar & Dan. Thanks for the beautiful video. It 's just - I wished that you, Dan, did not have to have your tonsils extracted. It's dangerous. They took children' s tonsils out when I was a child. That may have been the time when Northern and Southern Cyprus were at war. Since then, many things have changed and one would hope that today, there would be adequate medication to cure your tonsils without surgery. Love to both of you from Bochum, Germany.

People tell me that Greece is prettier than Cyprus . The thing I thought was the best in Cyprus was the ancient historical buildings that Australia doesn’t have . I live in Australia by the way . Troodos is lovely and and so is the nature near Paphos and also the coast between Limassol and Paphos . It dies have it’s beautiful vistas but the locals and my relatives don’t like us Cypriot people who were born in another country . They were so rude and I was t welcomed there . I was shocked to see how lovely they are to the tourists but not nice to us relatives . I am glad you enjoyed it though . We have heaps or gorgeous nature in Australia and is vast . I will stick to visiting them . I never returned to Cyprus. Sad isn’t it !

Cyprus was a Greek Island before the Turkish invasion and illegal occupation.
Note: During the second phase, Turkey took the city of Famagusta, under its control and illegally occupies over 36% of the territory of the Republic of Cyprus ever since. As a result of the Turkish military invasion and occupation, 162,000 Greek-Cypriots fled their homes becoming refugees in their own country.
Note 2: In 1983, a Turkish-controlled area located on the northern section of the island declared its independence, calling itself the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Turkey has been the only country in the world to recognize the TRNC, however.

Dan-good luck with your surgery. That's a tough one as an adult (I don't know why it's easier when you're a kid). You two are way too young to remember when Cyprus was one of the most violent and contested places on the planet-the Greek vs the Turkish populations. It was always in the news until an uneasy truce was hammered out. I know, it was a long time ago, but I can still remember it (yeah, I'm old enough to be your elderly father). The island is beautiful; its history not so much.

History of Cyprus was nice until 1974 when turkey decided to invade destroying the lives and killing thousands of innocent people just to satisfy its imperialism like turkey did in so many other countries near it (Greece, Armenia, Syria etc.) and still does. Its time for the world to know the truth and cancel this country out which has nothing to do with peace and unity.
