- In this video I want to share with you my passion for languages. I know some of them more, some less but I love all of them very much and it is a lot of fun learning them until today. Making mistakes is an essential part of the learning process. Accepting this as a general rule prevents me from being frustrated and improvement comes quite naturally and by itself. You will see that I make mistakes here and there in this video, which is proof enough that I am still in the process and enjoying it ;)

Speaking Darija dialect of Morocco is a tremendous job. Most difficult to grasp. You deserve all accolades for it.
as a moroccan native speaker the sentence you have said at the outro (سالا الوقت ديالي) it means that im ready to die (سالا الفيديو/شكرا على المشاهدة) sounds more natural! keep up the good work you’re accent is at a native level moroccan darija is not that easy of an dialect so keep learning it frequently :)

أنت مخطأ في حكمك على اللغة العربية الفصحى، تعلم وتحدث الفصحة وسيفهمك ويقدرك الجميع بالإضافة أن كل الحضارة الإسلامية منذ 1400 سنة الماضية (أطنان وأطنان من الكتب والمؤلفات في جميع المجالات) كلها مكتوبة بالفصحى حتى هذا اليوم أيضا تكتب المؤلفات بالفصحى، بعكس اللهجات فهي غير ثابتة تتغير وتتبدل كل 20 أو 30 سنة.

هو في كلتا الحالتين سيفهم عليك, لا بأس بإستخدام العامية طبعا, لكن هل تعلم أنه حتى في البلد الواحد توجد عدة لهجات في نهاية الأمر أنت ربما ستخاطبه بلهجة هي ليست لهجته الأم.
في نهاية المطاف لا أظن أن هناك أحد يمكنه مراعات لهجة أي شخص ليخاطبه بها, فهذا أمر مستحيل.
أنا عن نفسي لو كنت في بلد عربي آخر سأخاطبهم بلهجتي الخاصة لكني سأجعلها أكثر قربا للفصحى حتى أضمن أن يفهم علي بشكل جيد.
خير مثال كما تلاحظ, وسائل التواصل الإجتماعي أنت الآن وأنا وكل المتكلمين بالعربية نستخدم الفصحى للتواصل.

It's funny how even your face expressions change depending on the language you're speaking, and it's especially noticeable when you speak Arabic! It means a lot about how you learn to feel the language, which is probably the hardest part of the job. You're definitely someone to look up to!

your farsi is great! i primarily speak dari but i could still understand you (which is good lol), but imo you don't have to enunciate the gh and kh sounds that much, it sounds a lot more natural when it's softer (or maybe that's just dari), but ur vocab is pretty good! (probably better than mine)

No I am Iranian and noticed the same thing with the gh and kh sounds :) For us we do not pronounce it so strong either, however his farsi is very amazing and he speaks very well. I see a lot of people have many struggles with farsi accent but his is very good, and although the gh and kh sounds were over enunciated , sometimes I see people who do not pronounce it at all so he did. a very good job

@@loki2504 Salut :), pour le moment je suis très occupé avec le marocain et l'égyptien, donc une nouvelle langue cible, cela sera pour l'année 2022 plutôt. Puis j'aime approfondir les langues que j'ai appris et pour cela j'aimerais repasser le grec et le persan. Et toi?

let me just say your literary arabic is amazing. No hint of accent whatsoever. Yes egyptian is perhaps not as close to standard arabic as syrian arabic, but what do you think makes it hard for you?
Hi Rowan, thanks a lot for your comment. Egyptian Arabic is a strange case for me. I have not found my way into it yet, I think because it's so close to Levantine I tend to speak in Levantine when I dabble with Egyptian...

I speak Portuguese (native speaker), English and some Japanese. But I plan to learn Spanish soon and Arabic a few years later (I just don't know if it will be Lebanese, Syrian or Egyptian dialect).

when did you start learning languages ??, I have a strong passion for languages too, I already can speak Kurdish ( my native language ), and Hawrami which is a Kurdish Dialect, and English, and a very little German and Arabic, My current focus is on German, and it is a language that I actually want to learn for some reason, I started learning English when I was a kid, I didn't really intend to learn English as I only watched American TH-camrs playing games and I was only interested in the things they did, and here I am, without intending to learn English, I'm pretty good at it, but there is still some vocabulary limitations, so basically I haven't really experienced the prosses of planning to learn a language, The reason I started learning German was because of German songs and movies, and sounded pretty cool so I started in the middle of 2018, I took things seriously, all until the end of 2018, because of school I couldn't continue, So I quit until now 2021, I'm 15 and Since I already live in Iraqi Kurdistan, and Arabic is a very important language to learn, the problem is, My Arabic is very bad, even worse than My German, and I'm not really interested in learning that language, for some reason, I just don't like it, I'm in 11th grade, and 12th grade determines my future, and I must have a very good Arabic to get higher marks, now I'm in a place where I want to learn German, A language that I actually enjoy learning but is really not important, whereas Arabic is a language I hate but It's very important, what would you do in this position ??
Hi, thank you for your comments. In your position, only for the sake of getting good grades, I would recommend you learn Arabic until you're finished with 12th grade. After that focus totally on German. If you are very passionate about German, you can sleep one hour less and learn German instead. Vocabulary builds with a lot of reading, watching movies, listening to podcasts, and most importantly speaking to people (use italki or similar apps). Good luck and may the force be with you. Consider changing your google-name .. this one does not come across well in Germany, haha.

Pour apprendre le darija j'ai bcp profité du livre de Hoogland: www.routledge.com/The-Routledge-Introductory-Course-in-Moroccan-Arabic-An-Introductory-Course/Hoogland/p/book/9781138104679, il n'est disponible qu'en anglais, néerlandais et allemand. Donc, un petit bémol pour les francophones. Puis il serait indiqué de trouver qn qui parle avec toi et qui t'assiste (italki est une bonne app pour cela).

As a Dutch native, (actually:Frisian native :P ) I notice how you pronounce the word "German", "Duitser", German-ish as "Deutscher". The Dutch "ui" sound however is very distinctive in Dutch, and different from the german "eu" (which sounds more like "oi" in e.g. the english "join"). Succes met je verdere taalontwikkeling! ;)

I think to learn multiple languages, it would be at the expense of mathematics and sciences as a lot of time is needed to master these technical subjects.
Hi Sean, I would recommend to go with a rhythm that allows you to learn consistently and with pleasure. The trick is not to consider learning a language as a task or, even worse, a chore.
