Upper Back Relief- Movement Lesson to Reduce Stiffness and Tension

  • Many people develop upper back stiffness, tension, and pain due to lack of movement and to sitting or standing rounding forward. When the torso rounds foward it forces the back muscles to engage to hold you upright in gravity.
    This lesson is designed to move you in a variety of patterns to increase the mobility of the upper back and thoracic region of the spine. You will later to rotate, flexion, extend, and lateral sidebend the thoracic spine to increase your mobility and comfort.
    This is a great lesson for anyone is sit at a desk while working. It will help introduce a variety of movements that will free you to move in a variety of patterns and will balance out the muscles in the front and back of the torso. ---
