Honestly as a bracelet seller normally at craft fairs this machine seems extra worth it for me so I might actually be able to lower the price of my bracelets after a little bit of using this because last time
Edit: 8 months later I have bought the bracelet machine and it has been very very worth it thank you so much for showing this it’s saved my hands quite a bit.

Yeah, i was like...er...are you sure you want to do that? But then maybe it's coated plastic made to look metal (hopefully)?!
Metal allergies usually don’t cause an immediate anaphylactic response. I am allergic to nickle but I can wear something for a few days before I break out- it’s because they are coated with a protective covering but our sweat and body oils break it down- so the longer/more you wear it, the more exposure you get to the metals. A lot of people substitute with clear nail polish because it last longer and is easy to apply. My mother has to coat her glasses with it or she breaks out

I have already been using my own embroidery strings with this for a while now and it's amazing. With my own string I am able to wrap way more string on the spool and I just cut it off when it's long enough. The only downfall that I haven't worked out yet, is the time it takes to rewrap the spools. It would be AWESOME if the spools were interchangeable with basic sewing bobbins then I'd be able thread them with my sewing machine, but the spools are slightly different in size than a sewing bobbin so I'm still working on an idea for that.

I made these simple friendship bracelets with my kindergarten kids two years ago, without a bracelet maker. It's a nice activity for kids from ages 4 and up actually, if they can count well, haha :) glad they both worked okay, though
I love the Jackie and Sika double act, Sika has grown so much in confidence from her early appearances which shows and it’s great. my face hurts so much every time that sika is around because it's just that much more wholesome and hilariously chaotic. i also use the embroidery thread typically used for cross stitch works to make bracelets because the color variety is better for the projects i do. also listening to jackie speak japanese makes me all happy because i'm in the process of learning japanese, along with korean, gaelic and turkish at the moment, french, spanish, mandarin and thai will start soon once i get further along in the other languages.
I used to make these by hand back in school. Made many many designs and widths. Such a wonderful relaxing activity by hand though. Who knew they would make a craft machine for less labor.
If u wana make it flattened then try keeping those strings next to eachother in a line than mixing the top ends of threads in a bunch. But I think it's due to machine going round and round that u are not getting a flat one. For the flat one u might need the spools to move back n forth in a straight line like a knitting loom.
I’m salty I’m in school so now I have to wait to watch it.

-loading spools with regular yarn, knitting type, it's a bit stretchy, but will it work or jam the machine?
-loading spools with yarn of different thickness, some thin and some chunky, hairy yarn? will it produce wonky bracelet?
-using beads/sequins on the yarn, probably most difficult, but that's the challenge !

For those who are interested, those bracelets, or the technique, are called Kumihimo. All who have seen „Your Name“ probably had a moment when they googled that or ordered their first basic foam set to try. 😂

you guys should try just using a kumihimo disk. It's super easy, the machine isn't jank. It's really soothing and nice to work, you're just moving string across positions on a wheel. Once you remember where to go with what string and learn the pattern, super easy. I make beaded bracelets that way.

I love friendship bracelets! I make my own all the time, except I don't have one of those fancy machines, I do all the knotting by hand. Makes my fingers hurt after a while, but it's worth it.
