@@ALTheFreeManWhy should he ONLY have a series that addresses these things for men? Does he think that his Sisters in Christ have such big egos that we only want to hear these things from another woman? Besides, doesn't The Word forbid a woman to speak in church?

@@jenniferraymond9766 Yes, according to scripture, women are not to speak IN CHURCH, nor have authority over men. In my opinion, I think his message to men is a reaction to a society (as well as many churches) who have put women on the forefront and seem care less about men’s issues. There’s an ocean of women’s talk shows, and even a Christian women’s talk show, “Better Together”, so, while Christian men AND women can benefit from a message like this, again, I think this is a reaction to a society that has made men feel undervalued.

A spirit of bitterness can enter through false guilt too even though you’ve forgiven. This happens when you forgive but the other person has put the fault on you instead of taking ownership. It can also enter when you forgive but the other person doesn’t apologise & repent. You end up in resentment because you remain in a relationship with them instead of severing ties.
Yes you can sever ties & forgive too.

So many people have let me down over the years, I’ve lost count.
Friends, family, co-workers, etc; it’s actually sad.
At first, I carried around Bitterness, before realizing Bitterness was slowly killing me but not changing anybody else’s behavior toward me.
Eventually, I’d just shrug my shoulders as I expected it to happen and didn’t care enough to get upset.
Now, I pray for those who let me down. God made me realize that not only do I need to forgive others, but I need to pray for them as well.
I’m starting to think that that’s why all of these people were/are in my life: I’ll be praying for them instead of getting angry with them.
God gave me shoulders big enough to bear the burden of disappointment, and that I am to pray for these people instead.

Am I incorrect women were supposed to cover theirs though?
If so. That blew away too. No pun intended.
For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.
      Or was it
God's order for the woman is the opposite from His order for the man. When she prays or prophesies she must cover her head. If she does not, she disgraces her head (man). This means that she must show her subjection to God's arrangement of headship by covering her head while praying or prophesying. Her action in refusing to cover her head is a statement that she is equal in authority to man. In that case, she is the same as a woman who shaves her head like a man might do. Paul does not say that the woman disgraces her husband. The teaching applies to all women, whether married or not, for it is God's law that woman in general be subject to man in general. She shows this by covering her head when praying or prophesying.
Only while praying. And lower then men. Says everything you need to know too.

Even if you forgive someone, that doesn’t make hurt go away and sometimes forgiving makes you feel like you allowed someone to hurt you with no consequences.

I can't recommend getting to know Jesus Christ, and asking for wisdom and discernment of what is true enough. That has helped me immensely to keep myself from ending everything based on what I went through countless times. He allowed me to love myself in a healthy way that doesn't put myself above anyone.
Personally, what has worked for me as well is going back through the memories to gain a better understanding of each given situation, to the point that emotions aren't the forefront, and you look at those memories from an analytical perspective. It's a ton of internal work that's very personal, and will take time for sure. That's what works for me, as it allows me to understand why certain people did certain thing, and help me better understand that everyone is broken.
I understand that what you're going through and what you went through in the past is truly horrible (my step-dad used to be an alcoholic), and I hope you find healing for your soul.

    Great snippet as always.
One disagreement though, respectfully, there's no such thing as generational curse.
There's repetition of patterns, good or bad behaviors (that kids learn from their parents) passed down generations after generations until someone conciously breaks the cicle (mainly through Jesus, in the case of breaking off of a bad habit through and after being born again).
Some Bible passages that contradict this doctrine are, among others, Jeremiah 31:29,30, John 9:1-3.
Some people argue in favor of this by quoting Exodus 20:5, for instance, but that's not what the text means, whether in (or specially out) of it's context.

Thank you, pastor, for talking about it.
I am blessed to become a father this year.
My own father taught me bitterness. Towards everything in life.
I always knew I had to do it differently. But forgiveness was a long way to go.
But I realise that I should try to do it and leave this matter to our Lord.
Lord, I trust You in taking care of this matter for me.
For my earthly father taught me how I dont want to be. But You, my heavenly Father, teach me to become the perfect version of myself through Your guidance.
You are sovereign and Holy. There is no one I rather have as my Lord and Master than You.
    Deus Vult!

Many of the insults used against men are not necessarily spoken because the speaker thinks it's true. The are spoken because the speaker believes those words can be used to manipulate the listener. The goal is to lower the listener to a point of feeling powerless. Then when the listener is sufficiently lowered, they are mocked and provoked. The goal at this point is for the listener to act out of anger and spread chaos in the world. This increased chaos is used for other purposes. Ultimately this is a spiritual war that is being waged against everyone.
The best defense of this is described in Ephesians 6:
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
A very important part of this process is to understand what is right and what is wrong according to The Creator rather than accepting the morality according to governments or other human groups.

Pastor Mike I have a question I just became a child in Christ and my baptism is in 2 weeks for me and my son! But I’m worried my daughter is 15 and she loves Harry Potter and something inside of me is telling me it’s sorcery and witchcraft am I being to over whelming or is it a true witchcraft please help me ! What is your view on Harry Potter ??

    • @jenniferraymond9766
      @jenniferraymond9766 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Learn to pick your battles wisely. If you start banning everything in your child's life based on your fear of things that cannot harm you so long as you are grounded in Christ and reality, you're going to get all out rebellion from your kids and push them away from the faith. Believe me, I've seen this many, many times in my own family and friend's families. It's better to make sure your daughter knows the difference between fantasy and the reality of the faith, and you won't be dismissed as a paranoid Bible thumper. Satan loves it when families argue and divide themselves, and you would be amazed at the surprising ways he accomplishes this goal. This is one of them.
Teen sex, gender bending lifestyles, smoking, drinking, drugs, hanging out with other kids hostile to The Gospel...by all means put up a zero tolerance policy on those things.
A fiction book? Waste of time and energy for you.

    • @TK1258-EXP4

God is not an imaginary friend. There are many arguments for the existence of God. Some common arguments are the cosmological argument, fine tuning of the universe to trillions of a degree, hundreds of fine tuned parameters on earth for life to exist, a 3.5 billion character information code called DNA that just jumps into existence, the irreducible complexity of the cell, objective morality existing, immaterial realities existing like the laws of logic/reasoning capabilities/free will, the scientific facts in the Bible, the fulfillment of numerous biblical prophecies, the messianic prophecies being fulfilled especially Isaiah 53 which predicts Jesus 700 years before he came and Psalm 22 which predicts his crucifixion 1000 years before it happened. Isaiah 53 talks about a lowly servant of the Lord who will come to be beaten, whipped, pierced, then killed as a criminal for the sins of his people then buried in the grave of the rich, but will rise from the dead. This was predicted 700 years before Jesus was born. Psalm 22 which predicts Jesus’s crucifixion 1000 years before it happened including being nailed through the hands and feet. This is significant because this was predicted 700 years before crucifixion was invented by the Romans. We know these passages were written before Jesus since thanks to the discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls we have copies of these passages that are older then Jesus himself. There is also the evidence for the resurrection which can be summarized in Gary Habermas’ four minimal facts argument
