Polish pistol based on the 1911, with some simplifications (eg: a linkless barrel design) and one of the few single action only pistols with decocker (the other one that I know of is the CZ 52). It was used by the germans in WW2 after they occupied Poland. They used everything that it was in 9mm PARA, and even rebarreled a bunch of Steyr-Hahn 1912 pistols from 9x23mm Steyr to 9mm PARA.
I was gonna guess a version based on tje 1911 yeah, germans were not into such model, they had the P38 which was a modern Luger. Maybe west Germany after the war started adopint Hi-Powers but it's still not german
@@thiagorodrigues5211 They also used FN Hi-Powers captured from the belgians, and kept manufacturing them during occupation under the supervision of DWM technicians. Having a 9mm pistol with 13 rounds magazines was really appealing to them.
@@Xerxes1688 someone once told me the 1911 and hi-power are quite reliable while the german pistols weren't safe at all to handle.
Actually it's mostly based on TT-33
It's a clone of TT-33, like most of early Polish guns, based on Russians(USSR)
FB on the grip stands for "Fabryka Broni" in Polish, which means 'Arms Factory' straight
i m from Poland and yes radom is poland factory
@@adambac2934I agree with you because I'm from Poland too
But Germans still produced it after the Fall of poland
And issued it to the troops
Yes, but I personally think it should be called a Polish pistol, because it was made in Poland back in 1935, and it became the main Polish army pistol.
Made during German occupation 1939-1945. Excellent Polish pistol. True Pirogi❤
Pierogi no pirogi
According to the markings, this gun was produced in the pre-war period.
@@xiored4558the parts were maybe, but assembled during war time according to the deleted rear take down lever with added rivets (not to mention German proof marks)
Another gun profile I see.
@@xiored4558No. Germans left "FB" alone, but simplified construction in their manufacturing version. There are no 2 manipulators on the left above the thumb: decocker and hook for disassembly.
Yes, but if the Germans continued the production of these pistols they are considered sort of semi-German.
I see some confusion about the origin of the gun. It was a Polish design and made in Radom, Poland until 1939. Then Germans invaded Poland and took over the factory and continued manufacturing as Pistole 35(p). That continued until 1944. Germans made them also in Austrian Steyer factory.
Today Fabryka Broni in Radom, Poland makes short series for the collectors market from time to time.
The name 'Radom gun' is used in the US only. The correct name is VIS.
Bro ViS is a Polish gun, manufactured in Fabryka Broni “Łucznik”, based on Colt 1911
Its a german production one
@@xiored4558the frame is the late type clearly as it is the two level variant.
After the capture of Poland, these were assembled in Austria which was part of Nazi Germany. So I would call it a German made Vis35. Or more accurately a P35(p).
Mom can we get 1911?
No we have 1911 at home:
It's Polish, brother
And used by the Germans. I have one with nazi eagles
@@jordanhicks5131 That's cool. I'd like to have one. I know it was made under the German occupation, but production started in 1935, the same year when it became the main pistol in the Polish army. That's why we should at least call it Polish
It is Polish gun🇵🇱
Haste Du recht. Is Polnische ja .
The Germans kept Radom running the whole war, so lots of these pistols will have German markings on them as well, and were produced for the German military. They did the same thing with FN in Belgium.
And the guy who was issued that thing had to feel lucky AF.
The RADOM was a POLISH PISTOL. Not GERMAN.
this one was probably german made as it was mdae in radom while the factory underwent some "managerial changes" per say; still a polish pistol yet this one was probably made in the german variant (there are 3 variations of the ViS), i jesli co do czego to jestem Polakiem ale niestety ten okaz jest niemieckej produkcji, w polsce robiony przez Polakow ale przy malych zmianach dla wojska niemieckiego.
@@fraftti It would need to have the German markings to be a 'German' VIS
Radom is made in Poland, never In Germany
Germans decided to continue the production of these pistols in occupied Poland. If it's assembled after 1939 it's a german made one.
@@GinsengStrip-wt8bl It's a polish pistol made in 1936. Invading a country and reproducing their stuff doesn't make it your stuff.
@@tylersmith3139If the Germans made it then it’s a German gun.
Sorry but you are wrong
It is a POLISH pistol. POLISH made designed and manufactured by the POLES.
Germans took over the factory and continued production
@@swulf4915Prussian gun.
POLISH RADOM, NEVER GERMAN..
Bro's mind still lives in 20 centuary i guess.
@@edekblady302 I mean, the polish version is better made. The Germans reduced quality to increase production
Hallelujah! Someone who knows their history that is an actual Pole! 😂

Please keep making more videos! Best part of my day! 😎👍
It was a damn good pistol. I came across several of them chambered in .9mm Para back in the mid 80s. There were many WWII & cold war era weapons on the surplus market at the time.
Really classy looking pistol
Looks like if a Tokarev and a 1911 had a kid
What a well built truck. That engine is amazing and sounds great
Them rounds sparkey clean
A german 1911... now I've seen everything.
We have 1911 at home
*The 1911 at home:*
Polish actually. I call it the Polish Radom. Some include the "P-35". A "P-35" in my eyes is the Browning Hi-Power as it is also called "P-35" also "M1935"
Vis jest POLSKI. " Na 'Tygrysy, mamy Vis'y "
It's cute how this guy is dressed the part
GERMAN??? BRO WTF IS WRONG WITH U radom is literally a Polish city and it was too in 1935
It was used by the Germans dude, chill out. It's a German radom, meaning it has German waffenamt stamps, not that it was made in Germany
Same as an argentine Mauser, they are made in Germany but used by Argentina
@jordanhicks5131 yeah i overreacted but the germany were using them bc they got them from Polish military when they invaded us
@@jejker well, yeah. Germans know a good gun when they see one, they used pistols from many nations. Spanish Star and Astra pistols were common rear echelon/police pistols during ww2 in service with the Germans as well.
@@jordanhicks5131they were assembled in Germany during the war as the Poles were not trusted beyond the manufacture of various parts. Prewar, yes it was made in Poland obviously.
Great gun, way ahead of its peers
Prized among German officers. You were the GOAT if you had one of these in western Europe and a straight up pimp if in Africa.
Its Polish pistol
My brother in christ that was the weakest stance ever😂😂 but i forgive for the awsome fallshirmjager drip, hella jealous
It was made in Poland(3 versions, each one more simplified....less levers) no matter if factory was controlled by Germans or Poles....German controlled factory put Waffenampt stamps on guns.
this is not a German pistol, but a Polish VIS model 35 (constructors: Piotr Wilniewczyc and Jan Skrzypiński). After the occupation of Poland in September 1939, the Germans took over the weapons factory in Radom (Fabryka Broni Radom, FB Radom) and continued to produce Polish pistols, marking them with their German symbols.
I'm surprised that no one said it was a 1911
Ar9 with w 4.5 inch barrel and maxim brace. 18 inches overall, takes glock mags, feeds most jhps.
"Oh shi*, it's them again!"
When the design is so damn good everyone starts making their own copies xD
Man, your collection is huge. That, or you robbed a museum.
Literally watching this in Scotland in bed beside my girlfriend who is from Radom. We were there a few years ago!
Mom, can we get 1911 😢 no we have 1911 at home, 1911 at home,
But truly a beautiful piece.
It’s no Tokagypt, but it’s a handsome pistol nonetheless, and a fine-shooting firearm indeed.
Excellent paratrooper suit.
It is polish army pistol john browing patent on 1911 model but more useful because of more capacity and 9mm cartrige
Nice, but where are the kittens?
I do like the paratrooper smock I want one how does it feel when snapped around the legs
"Radom" is not the name of the weapon, but the name of the city where the arms factory is located. The full name of the weapon is "VIS wz. 35"
There is something about the sound of loading a gun, loading it and cocking it lol
Also made/assembled outsideof poland after the nazis discovered the AK (Army Krakowa)was building two with a single erial number. One for the underground.
German engineering at its finest
it was polis but german took over the factory and made german marking on it and change it to po8
Gen 2 or 3. Missing the catch lever under the hammer drop. Mines gen 1. Love it.
It's not a german pistol. It's apolish pistol, from Radom.
You flagged your own hand with the muzzle
Dream pistol of gun enthusiasts.
One word, beautiful
Poland: hey america can i borrow your homework
America: sure just change some things up to make it look like you didnt copy me
poland: Sure
Also poland:
Why do all the guns from that timeline look so perfect were did gun makers go wrong
Not "German ViS". POLISH VIS manufactured in captured polish Radom facility with many simplifications.
Looks like a browning hipower had a kid with a 1911
THIS IS NOT GERMAN PISTOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah he’s the German 1911
Also the Germans used the gun and issued it to paratroopers
Great, and I really like this type of weapon, it's elegant unfortunately I don't have one yet.....
Everytime i see this gun i feel deceived, i was always think its a 1911 until.
Damn how long was that original ammo sitting? Wild how good of shape is in. The ammo is worse off than the gun lol
It looks very similar to a Colt 1911
It looks similar to 1911😮
Poles were heavily inspired by Colt
Cmon where the kittens

Nice boots.
THAT G3N IS FOR THE LEGEND ONLY
SOUP-PRICE
