Chevy motor under the hood possible turbocharged otherwise leave as is but maybe Cragars and Radial T/A tires
i would do nothing but wash it and fix anything thats not working properly

Definitely a step mom... When he asked about the goldwing, the older lady said that was the only thing she offered the daughter after the daughter asked for the 55'. Don't know the whole story, the daughter could have been just someone looking for something to sell for big money, but if she really buys it from Richard the she has money and that's kinda sad that the older lady didn't work out a deal with her for it. I know if I go I'd hope my daughter's would want something like that of mine to hold onto....

I clicked to see the Corvette, I really enjoyed watching you guys fix it up. That gold looks really good! I think, if I had that car, I would either do a LS swap or replace the crossfire with a 86-92 TPI setup and then fix up the interior. Hopefully someone buys that car who can really love and enjoy it!
I'd of loved to have worked in the WIGGINS FAMILY BUSSINESS just imagine the trades you'd learn in that big building.And even better helping to design new vehicles but soon as I seen that bus i fell in love with it but what a shame it didn't go into production.And as a car/truck nut we've got to thank Mr Wiggins for showing us all his weird and wonderful collection...😀👍
Much respect to Richard on this deal... Nobody else would have paid that amount for this group of cars. The '55 is nice... so is the Z... The rest are major projects that he didn't really need... Good man.

If $ wasn't an issue, engine swap to a big block with a blower and add a custom wide-body-kit.
One of my first cars was a 280Z 2+2. What a fun care to drive and totally ahead of it's time.
I had a 240Z and it was the best, most fun car I’ve ever had! My mom let my sister drive it while I was away in the Air Force and she wasn’t quite as careful as I was and she wrecked it ……….. twice! Second time was the death sentence and I miss it everyday!
I myself had a 1973 240z then traded it for a 1977 280z then traded it for a 1983 280zx Turbo. I loved all of them.
Get hold of Derek at Vice Grip Garage, he can get one of those trucks running and driving, and use it to tow the other one back for you!
I've watched Richard since day one and the one thing I like about him is if anything happens to the cars he always asked about the driver and makes sure he's ok first much respect Mr Rawlings

I've seen that 55 driving on Sundays in Birmingham and Cullman my whole life, the guy who owned it was a really great guy. I think I may have even revved the motor at a Sunday car show once.

Many of James's “car buddies” were there that day and they enjoyed talking with Richard as well! Being a bit negative here. But the lady obviously hadn't spoken to his kids about it properly or the daughter would have had her dad's car. It obviously means a lot more to her than it did his wife.
His wife was obviously the beneficiary so...
The mom was offering loans with her 45k. Maybe she's looking at interest from the daughter.
The family likes the stuff bec the dad loved it maybe with cash the family could use to find what they love everyone wins.
Did you ever think that maybe mom needs the funds to pay her bills. The vehicle has value. Mom is the beneficiary. She owns it. If the daughter wanted it she should have offered a fair price. Mom has to eat and keep a roof over her head.
@@philtheheaterguy951 Well if the daughter is prepared to pay Richard what he wants, which will include time expenses and a profit. I'm sure she would have paid mum what she wanted. Obviously mum needs to pay bills, but I'd guess from her going to Richard she wasn't offered the opportunity to buy her dad's pride and joy. As my original comment said. So your reply is pointless.

What nice people. I am glad they worked a deal out. It’s always uncomfortable when sentimental things and cash are involved… I’ve been there and it’s definitely awkward at times.
Especially when one of the family members are greedy and don't respect their family members who died! Just look how many kids ruin a business that their grandparents or parents started from nothing to be successful and they die and then they sell everything and end up broke!

I have to say, Chase is a younger version of A-Ron, without the drama. Is there anything that dude doesn’t know about anything from diesels, gas engines and any type of prefabrication? Nothing seems to faze him, I say BRAVO for him being lead mechanic at GMG!

I had an 84' Vette in the same color that I bought at an auction as a flip car about 7 years ago. I called it the turdvette and it did epic burnouts and I sold it for an $800 profit. lol
Hands down in my opinion the coolest car ever on Gas Monkey .
The 84 Corvette was the Motor Trend Car of the Year. That gold color was always pretty. This is going to be collectible in a few years and would be a good buy for someone. There are some folks that rebuild those Crossfire intakes which will make the car run fine. We did not see much of the interior though so not sure what it is worth.
It's always nice knowing what you paid for them....I hope your buddy Dennis reads these!

Love the impala steering wheel used to do that with all my tri 5s the strre rod or racer is great.
