how is it compared to blue lagoon? I've been to that island / beach. Also it didn't seem like the day beds were in the shade.. is there a way to get shade for free on pearl island?
We preferred this to Blue Lagoon. We like the ability to get to better snorkeling without having to pay for the Adults only side (which was closed when we went to Blue Lagoon) and overall it just felt more secluded with less people. We did not have shade - there is some more in the middle of the island but we chose to be in full sun

Question about Pearl Island. When you were snorkeling was it ok to leave your personal items on your lounge chairs or did they have a locker/cubby area to store your items? Looked like you had a great time!
We felt very safe leaving our items at our daybed without using any type of locker. If there were more boats in port and more people there I could see a concern but it’s less likely to be an issue than most large hotel pools.
@@Zepeda23 yes, we did go to Pearl Island and just did the beach day. There were plenty of lounge chairs set up around the island so there was no issue finding a place to set up. The beach was very small and really could only be used for swimming. They did provide noodles and a couple of kayaks to use. There is a bar so bring cash if you want to purchase drinks. They did provide free ice tea and water at the bar as well. Lunch was served at 1200 and was very crowded as everyone was waiting for the buffet to open. I would suggest going to the dining area early to grab a table before it gets to crowded. Overall I enjoyed it but If I were to do it again I'd probably book a beach day at one of the resort hotels. If you look up "Zach the traveling man" on TH-cam, he just did a full Pearl Island review last week on his channel.
That would be a tough price point. We were able to get it for $89 per person when we went. If they changed it to open bar with the snorkeling I could say yes but it was not open bar when we went. Loved the island and loved that it was smaller and away from everything. Watch for sales to see if you can get it closer to $125 I would say. $169 is a lot for a beach day Have fun and thanks for watching!

Yep probably half of the seating is under cover. As more people return you will want to be off the boat early to get a good spot if wanting shade. Thanks for watching. Do you have a trip planned?
This was a 40 year old woman telling us it was for the kids - certain it was a scam where they put a "free" bracelet on your wrist then ask for $10 or more
We have actually not done that yet, but do know it is supposed to be free to public and walking distance from the port, could be a good budget option but unfortunately we haven’t done it
@@E1234 I went to blue lagoon about a decade ago only for the dolphin encounters part. This doesn't have that sort of thing. What I liked most about this one was that it is smaller, and has a better, wide open, view from the beach, but Blue Lagoon the water activity area is more closed in - that was the biggest factor for me in choosing this and would absolutely do it again!
Please do not use this service. We left an item on the island and refused to return it. I’ve tried to reach out to them over three days and no one has responded. Please go elsewhere.

doing a 7 day cruise. only one day in nassau. the pearl island excursion is 169 per person. worth it you'd say?

Very Close - less than half way to the port gate. You are probably less than a ship length away from the ship - very convenient
