Hello guys and welcome to a new video. In this video I am trying to fix a common issue occured on Echo units. Basically the unit is unresponsive but only the mute button works.
Thank you for your investigation. I’ve been searching to find out what was going on with my echo dot 👍🏼. I’m going to take mine to electrical recycling.
@@benassy69 used the +(more) icon bottom right, went into help&feedback, then used the chat with us option. The rep looked up my dot from the DSN. She said because I'm a valued customer that she would unlock it free of charge.😂
Yes. Final answer, after further investigation, is that it is software issue. If you have your purchase recept Amazon will change with a new one, otherwise it cannot be repaired.

Hi, I had that problem and it was because it was using the wrong power supply. And I changed it to the one that came with. Now its working.
Tried several power supplies and also a bench power supply and it does the same

Did you find any solution?
Unfortunately not :(
@@benassy69 If you call they do nothing, I had mine unblacklisted by using the Alexa app chat and they reactivated it..😊
How exactly did you do that in the Alexa app?
