    Bells beach is just over an hour out of Melbourne and they hold the Rip Curl Pro there so saying there's no surfing in Melbourne is hilarious. Also, we have reasonable public transport in regional Victoria. You can get a vline train or coach to just about anywhere in Victoria at the same cost as metro PT prices.

    Melbourne is situated at the end of Port Phillip Bay, so although the Bay is actually the size of a small sea, the beaches are not really the same as a coastal beaches because the opening to the Bay is narrow and the waves are nowhere near as good as waves straight off the ocean … kite surfers love it when the wind kicks up, and when a storm comes in, you will see kite surfers flying over the waters of the bay.

    You are talking about city beaches! We have absolutely beautiful surf beaches and National Parks just outside of Melbourne.

    Vladimir has not lived in Melbourne long enough to understand the weather patterns. We can get four seasons in one day but we have many days of not having that. The city is not windy. In summer there can be quite a number of days over 30 degrees celsius. There are about 18 beaches around Port Melbourne Bay which Melbourne wraps around and more on the ocean (Bass Straight) which the Bay empties into.

      Beaches are garbage compared to the massive ones you have in Sydney and QLD

      @@kelsey_roy The beaches in Melbourne are BAY beaches, because Melbourne wraps around a HUGE BAY, many times bigger than Sydney Harbour. The generally quieter BAY beaches are great for children and for all types of water sports. Port Melbourne BAY is many times bigger than Sydney Harbour and the beaches are closer and more accessible to the population. Brisbane is not even on open sea water but kms up river from it. Victoria's ocean beaches outside that bay are fantastic. Two of the many examples are Bell's Beach which hosts World Championship Surfing contests and the NINETY MILE (long) beach. Some of those beaches are also homes to Little Penguins. Your uneducated comment was garbage !

    First time viewer & subscriber here - greetings from Tasmania - can I please ask the name of your accommodation & do they do short term rentals 5-7 days? Cheers!

      Hi! I did a long term rental, I was in CBD. 😄 for short term rentals I would advise to check on Airbnb, Booking, Agoda, etc. I’m sure you will find some beautiful place where to stay!🙌🏼

      @@discoverwithvladimir Our coffee culture began with Italians who migrated here in the 1950s. Lygon Street in Carlton is known as 'Little Italy'.

    Hi, how have you find your appartment ?

    • @discoverwithvladimir
      @discoverwithvladimir  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! I found it searching on Flatmates app.
      The most popular apps to search are Flatmates, Flatmates finders and Real estate.
      Otherwise sometimes you can find something even on Facebook 😊

    Sorry , you have only been in Melbourne for a few months and you obviously don’t travel away from city centre. The beaches you mention are bay beaches, not ocean beaches . Try Portsea or Bells or any surf beach for that matter .December although technically summer is rarely warm to hot. You say it’s always windy? Don’t know what you are talking about , rarely windy. The 23/24 past summer was cool by usual standards . Suggest a bit more time and travel required before critiquing
