The Lady in the Corvette is Nancy Wilson from HEART...
I Neva knew that, Ty.
@@butwhydoe4020 And she was married* to Cameron Crowe at that time. He wrote the story and screenplay.
*Edit: Not yet!
@@kurtkensson2059 They were actually just dating in 1981 (when Fast Times was filmed) but they did get married in 1986. Divorced in 2010.
@@SeanTheCanadianCoyle Good call. Thank you.
What a great place to grow up man, your life was a movie set lol!
I love palm trees.

Your videos can never be too long! They're amazing. Thanks for putting them together!
Thank you Kurt, I really enjoy these Valley episodes. Looking forward to the 3rd episode of Valley filming locations. ❤
another awesome time hanging out and watching movie stuff. Thanks man for your entertainment.
Thank you for including us Kurt dog. 🌭
Love the Valley videos I really got a kick out of the jugglers at the stop light
Great work Kurt! There is so much history, it’s pretty overwhelming. The California weather really is a paradise. It’s too bad we are stuck in such a divisive and modern age today.
Love these videos!
Thank you Kurt, alot of information there as well as alot of memories.
Always Totally Awesome Videos! SUBSCRIBED!!
Kurt your videos are always so good. You are a treasure trove of L.A. location factoids.
first thing I do is start the video and then hit the like button before i even watch it
I love living in Toronto Canada but as a kid in the 80's I always wanted to live in SoCal and skateboard all the parks...
Thanks Kurt...
Same- do for most.. people put in a lot of effort.. seems lame not to🙏😎
Love these videos, it’s so cool to see these places and how close they are.
What a fantastic, informative video!! Appreciate the time you put into it!!
Yes definitely more videos like this 👊😊
Love these!
I really appreciate the time, effort and research it takes to make videos like these possible. They're so much fun to watch.
Thanks!
👍
Great video, you did it again
Must have beem great growing up in the valley
It was for the most part. Like anyplace else I would imagine. Except you could go to the beach every week. Or the mountains. Or the city... :)
Kurt Thanks for the video it was great
Man that took me back in so many ways. Daayum that was very well done and appreciated ✌️💪😉
Keep these videos coming. You’re just scratching the surface of all the valley filming locations.
Definitely check out Licorice Pizza. Lots of Chatsworth, Canoga Park and Encino locations.
...gotta luv❤them 80's baby!😮💯👍✌!
Great work buddy let’s get you to 100k
Very good video very good job. I do remember half of the movies or shows that he did in this video. Very fun to watch today. Keep up the good work not sure how long I’ve been subscribed to you, but when you do come out with your videos, I really enjoy them a lot.
818 FOR LIFE!! 🤟🤩
Once again love the content. Keep them coming 👍🏻
Cool informative video, thanks
The woman laughing at Brad in that Fast Times scene is Nancy Wilson from Heart!
Who was married to Cameron Crowe, who wrote it.
I was a bouncer for Heart at an amphitheater on the SDSU campus back in the eighties. Just a weird memory of the 80’s.
@@canamrider07 That amphitheater has had some great concerts. I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan there, Joe Walsh, and some others. Montezuma Hall was good, too.
You really should be using your Thomas Guide driving in the valley.
Awesome.. great video to go with my lunchbreak. Thanks!
Solid Intel thanx cuzz
Awesome video! Might as well do a part 3 & 4 Lol
GREAT STUFF!!!!
I really needed this today.

Incredible work. REALLY takes me back to growing up there in the 80's. Thank you!
Amazing, thanks for the tour!
You are absolutely knocking it outta the park with your videos, Kurt. You’re a hard worker with a ton of heart and I’m glad your channel is picking up traction 🙂
How can one of your valley videos be too long? Make Part 3 an hour long, and people will eat it up. Another great valley video. Cheers from Canada
Excellent job!
"kicking the brick" made me LOL.
What an adventure to go along on this fun time travel ride!!! Thank you & more please!!!
Keep it up and I don’t mind more filming videos !! So much to know about in the valley !!!
These are great.
Thanks Kurt for another excellent video. Look forward to the next one.
My favorite playlist from you KC. I was born in 1980 at Sun Valley Hospital and grew up in NH living on Strathern/Tujunga. Until we moved to Mexico when i was 17 😢.
Awesome Video, Thank you! Lived in the valley for 15 years; saw Los Toros, Cowboy Palace, Tommy Burgers, and a Jack n the Box (crack!) Saw several films being made...one was a date night at the Westin Bonaventure...True Lies was being filmed!
Thank you for taking us 80's kids down memory lane! Fun fact: I live in the apartment building that's shown as the exterior apartment building of Johnny Lawrence in the series Cobra Kai. 😁
Great job!
Awesome!
This brings back such a great memories
Love these vids bro. I'm a screenwriter and split time between LA and Indy. I rent a studio from a couple in Woodland Hills and when I hit a wall in writing, I'll go take a drive to filming locations to remind myself why I love the industry so much. I often visit filming locations from ENTOURAGE and some of the places you've covered. Look forward to driving by some of these other places. Your vids are much appreciated.
This is all just HOME💗 to me but still fun to watch.
WOW Kurt! On this video you showed a lot of places that I have gone to or have driven by. I lived at one point on Lindley and Chatsworth. There is a vet’s office on Chatsworth and White Oak and I always took my pets there. Great memories on this video Kurt. Thank you!
aps fantastic as always, i really love this place, has such a vibe even now .. i can imagine only what it was like back then ..
That was fun! I’ve got to make it down to the Brady house! It was such a huge part of my childhood ❤
Wow, this video was totally tubular! I somehow stumbled across your channel and subscribed! Thanks for the content!
Take me back!!! We had the best movies and music... hands-down! 😭
I was in Burbank. I asked an uber driver to take me to a good breakfast place. Looking out the window - I was across from the Burger King that was in Back to the Future. It was so cool. Love your channel.
Did you go to Lancer's?
Wow!! Very interesting and I really enjoyed this filming vlog! I may take a drive out there to check out these places for myself!
Awesome!! Love these SFV vídeos!!!!
there use too be a comic book shop called forbidden planet back in the early 90s then changed the name too outer limits i would go there all the time it was on ventura blvd and van nuys one time i walked in with my cousin and michael jackson was in there really nice guy got too meet mj
I ♥this channel
That girl in the car that laughed at Brad in Fast Times is none other than Heart’s Nancy Wilson.
Great video!!!!
I have a few memories of the Valley as I was also bussed out to the Valley from Los Angeles. I went to Kennedy High and that school was used for the Brady Bunch episode when Greg was the photographer for the football games after getting hurt (I think) and not being able to play. I also went to CSUN and was leaving track practice when the gym, a shortcut we always used to go to the locker room, was being used for filming the first Karate Kid. Me and a friend watched them film from under the bleachers. No one knew we were there lol. I also have an Encino Man memory, because I wrote and produced a song for the movie. The scene where the police bust in the bar. Paulie and Brendon hung out at the studio while I recorded the song. And also, JFK high had the tallest high school basketball team in the country that year. Two 7 footers, a 6'11 and 6'10 and a guy named Zack who was under 5'8". But Fred Lewis Grandpa from The Monsters was a basketball scout and he was at every game during basketball season. He looked exactly the same. Very cool but crazy to see him every game and then go home and see him on TV lol. Sorry this was so long
Please do a 3rd video. I was raised in Sunland and had no idea about all of these things in the Valley.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. And I remember when the San Fernando Valley was White.
Awesome video from someone in the Midwest. Sad how once bustling locations now sit nearly vacant. Life was really great in 80's and 90's America.
Woo-hoo, I am the first to comment. Great job, Kurt. Keep it up,my friend. I have watched all your valley videos.
Get a life
@@BBAKER22 Seems like you need to get a life, Must suck to be so miserable in life.
@@BBAKER22Feel better? What’s the point of being a dick.
@BBAKER22 I do I have a 80slife thank you for taking the time to comment.
Nobody cares 🤡
You actually filmed the building I used to work in, corner of Hayvenhurst & Ventura
Hey...I took photos of you scoping my neighborhood for your ET coverage a few years ago....did not know that was you til I saw your video on the ET filming sites...big fan, cuz 80s and the Valley was my generation...and now I live in ETs old stomping grounds....phone home 4 ever dude....
From the movie Earth Girls Are Easy, the song Baby Gonna Shake by Royalty.
So '80's!
So L.A.!
Right when you started i thought you were going to show the cafe and shops from "The Nest" (1988) as it's right there on Tujunga. Love that movie. Hope you do more of these as they are really enjoyable.
Saticoy is a tight, almost hidden, busy street. One time, I went to to visit a guy who sells on Ebay and he tells me the Office was shot at that Quixote bldg, which was literally a 5 minute walk. Before covid 2020, the gate was not covered. And the La Bamba school looks like Roscoe Blvd. Thanks dude.
Another great video, Awesome. Casa de Cadillac can also been seen in the 1st Transformers movie for a brief moment.
Great video thanks! You can also check out the house used in the Apollo-13 movie (1995). The house is where Jim Lovell (Tom Hanks), his wife and children lived. The house is in Northridge at 18333 Index st. The producers did a lot of filming in front, inside, and in the backyard - like when Tom Hanks was in the backyard looking at the moon with his wife after the party. Also when the press swarmed over the house front yard trying to talk to the wives of the astronauts who were all inside.
I spent 4 days just visiting film tv location last time in LA. So much fun, so many miles on the rental..
The crazy thing is, I’ve never been to California in my life yet. I’m coming in the fall though. But, I think just because of videos and everything else, half of the time when you were driving around and about to show a location I knew exactly where you were going. Which I guess is a good sign for when I come there. Going to meet up with some friends in the fall there, do the Jackson Halloween thing and hang out for a few weeks.
If you want to do the Jackson Halloween thing with me, let me know and I will buy you a ticket. I would love to have you kind of show me some of these locations while I’m there. I’m 70s/80s kid. Wish I was still living then. Such great times, great music and great movies. In any case, let me know… I’ll probably be buying tickets whenever they put them up for this year.
Fun note on Radford Studios. This is where interiors and the exteriors for Gilligan's island was filmed. There was an outdoor lagoon which is now a parking structure unfortunately. In fact, in the opening credits, when they show the beach shore, you can see the edge of one of the sound studios i believe in the upper left..a mistake never recognized for some reason.
80 Life you tube video channel Love my favorite one fan BIG 💖
Thanks for the tour. You could probably charge out of town tourists hundreds of dollars for ride alongs like that.
I love Brady bunch.❤
Great video. I live in Oxnard which is in Ventura county and I didn't know there was so much filmed around here. Make more videos please.
I highly recommend Licorice Pizza. It is my favorite Paul Thomas Anderson film.
I grew up in the hills behind the old Fat Jacks (RIP) & used to take friends by the Dilling pad when I was in my late teens (this was way before anyone knew where tf the Brady house was) & before the new owners built a wall around it.
The ONLY difference in the ‘80s was the fake dormer window “upstairs.” Now it’s hard to recognize without background pics. 🤷♂️ Love this stuff!
Back in the early to mid 80s, I lived in Studio City just down the hill from where they filmed Rick Dalton's house in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. When I saw that movie , I recognized it immediately. Lol. I can't count how many times I saw film crews filming something around that area. Especially at North Hollywood Park which was by where I went to school. We would go there after , or during.. , school to smoke pot. Hahahahaha
I Love these videos. Seeing the valley and locations is super cool to me. Thank you for sharing them my friend. Be safe out there .Rock on. 😎
I recently discovered your channel when researching National Lampoon’s Vacation locations. Now I’m hooked on your videos. If you make a Part 3 of this series, you’ve got to see Kevin’s house in The Wonder Years in Burbank. I think that still counts as The Valley. Also, Paul’s and Winnie’s houses are in that neighborhood. We drove out to it and other locations like the Back To The Future house and the Brady Bunch house during the height of Covid as a safe form of entertainment.
