It's cool to see the facades and all, but it'd be super awesome if they built an actual copy if the Ingalls' "little house" where people could visit and walk into and maybe even rent it out at night. Also Oleson's Mercantile would make a great place for the visitors to walk into and buy souvenirs and refreshments.
Wow, such a beautiful plain of fields. Just seeing the scenery feels surreal. This show will always be gold and special in my heart. Came home from school watching this show everyday. I am so lucky and blessed to have such a show growing up.
When I was 7 years old, my siblings and friends and I always watched this film every Sunday afternoon, always happy when the time came to watch Little House on the Prairie... I really love this film even now at the age of 54 and I hope I can visit Go to the filming location to experience the atmosphere firsthand
Awesome tour thank you for sharing. It brought back memories from my childhood when I watched the show and I still watch it on dvd and it never gets old ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing. I have seen different videos from people who filmed their experience, but watching this one, it made me feel like I was actually there. I would've loved to been able to go there, but I did get to go to Kentucky and meet some of the cast. I think my highlight was getting to eat breakfast with Almonzo.
Fantastic seeing this, and so cool too they made little sets so that visitors could see where the original buildings were all at. Kinda odd though, as it appears that tour bus had everyone on a pretty tight leash. Not even allowed to get off the bus in town, and at the Little House site, weren't allowed to roam around and investigate the settings freely. Looked like there were other people on their own with their own vehicles though walking around.
John Schneider and Tom Wopat said that when they came back to the dukes series when they temporary left! They took the general out for a spin! They accidentally slammed into the blind school ! Great video 👍 ⚡️space ace Ron ⚡️
@littlebonnethead thank you so much for this video. I was one of the very last people to get on from Standby on Sunday evening. I cried so hard. Although I took over 100 pics, I was definitely in an emotional daze. It's so nice to "ride through again".
I was waiting to see the front side of the one facade in town....only saw the back. What was that? Doc Baker's? Or maybe the post office, I don't think I heard him mention that either. Cool to see!
Yes! They actually had snake wranglers there to help keep everyone safe. That’s part of the reason we could only get out at the Ingalls farm. They took good care of us and made us feel safe!
Excellent tour guide, beautiful scenery, and it’s a shame the road couldn’t have been improved for this special event. How does the video stay so steady with the shuttle bouncing all over the place on the shitty road? Aren’t iPhones great?
Se extraña mucho a Michel lando nuestro querido señor engels que allí donde esté esté haciendo las películas que él sabía hacer que nos llegaba al corazón❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It took me a minute to realize that those are remade props from the movie.....in the location of where the original structures would of been... I was thinking that there's no way micheal Landon was cheap and used wooden props because they look fake....the old original buildings must of rotted away....
They blew them up on the last episode,,,it was real cause micheal Landon rip wanted it that way so I guess no one would reuse them in a different movie. I think that's what he said..I heard it on a interview with one of the actors..
I heard there were two versions. The one that you have mentioned and the other where they had to leave the land exactly how they found it. Void of any structures that were built for the tv series.
@@satos1on the tour they explained the reasoning was a mixture of both. They had contracted to leave the land as they had found it and Michael Landon didn’t want the sets to be used by anyone else.
This is disappointing for me!!! Just drive out there and see the façades with boards propping them up in the back!! Sorry… This is what they actually did the filming with?!?! Thank you.

I agree it would be really cool
So nice to see where it all happened. I still watch the series here on youtube. My absolute favorite childhood series.❤

When I was a teenager use to come up here when they were Filming in 1970's, lived in Simi Valley and just take Tapo Cyn. Rd. North.

The tv show is still on hallmark channel daily
Glad you enjoyed it

We were on standby Sunday as well! I also cried when we got on! Such an absolute dream come true,
Thanks for sharing. They forgot to make the ice house where Nancy locked the other girl inside.
if u watch the episode where they have the football game winoka in the backgrowund u can see the blind school
I was trying to figure out where we're this filmed? Was it really in some woods or the country?
What happened to the original buildings? They should rebuild them exactly the way they were to tour inside. Would be a great experience!
I agree !! I know that will be great ..for the visitor, that will be soo much real
THEY WERE TORN DOWN I BELIEVE
@@ekop1778 they had 10 year lease of the land. why everything had to go.
@@robertloper5361 i see
No in the very Last episode Michael Landing had it blown up as part of the last episode bc he didn't want people 2 re use his set
How lucky you are.... I'd love to be there.... 😢
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. Thank youuuu again
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such a cool experience!!!
Me gustaría vivirlo yo tanbien ❤
the blind school was also the hermit house whos wife died that was an actress
Loved this! ❤
One structure they forgot about at the Ingalls home stead was the out house.and the shack that grandpa stayed in when he came to visit.
Yeah you right.
@@marleneportuguez6733 I mean Kerry didn't have that many major parts in the show except needing to run to the outhouse. LOL

Greetings from Germany..
I am surprised about how spread out the set is .
We were too, but it also felt just like a real town rather than just a film set. It felt very real.
Que maravilloso, si pudiera visitar ese lugar seria un sueño
Ive been in laura and almanzos actual house in kansas and in the school and post ofice. And wore lauras actul bonnet
Very cool

You can look at this and tell it is just prop boards these would have never been used they built the front of buildings to look real
Ainda vou conhecer esse lugar

Wonder when they added the facades. that's awesome so people can see exactly where the buildings once stood.
They put them up in March for the 50th anniversary celebrations.

😢😢😢❤❤❤❤😮😮😮😮😮😢😢😢😢😂😂😂😂 nunca esqueceremos!
I thought the last episode to air, the town was blown up because of the buyer
¿Dónde queda esto?
It was filmed somewhere else but not in Montana
really want to see the location live, but we almost certainly won't be able to get there from Hungary 😔

Just to let you know, it was not actually a mud pond more like a manure bond
Haha yes! They talked about that!
❤
Is this in Kansas? California?
Simi Valley California :)
Why the cardboard cut outs? What happened to the real buildings? Were they always fake?
I grew up in Simi valley
I read that Michael Landon burnt it down when the show ended. 😢
he did…
No.
He blew it up.
@@silentrage8961 Thanks 😊 I had it backwards.
😢😢😢😢 lamentavelmente ele fez. Que pena
I thought these locations were destroyed in the California wildfires??
These are re built, bc in last episode Michael landon Had stuff Blown up ,bc he didn't want people 2 reUse it, he Blew it up
These comments are making me laugh.

Che meraviglia,mi ricorda la mia adolescenza❤❤,lo guardo ancora sul canale 27 ,canale italiano di Berlusconi.
Did you pay for this?
We did, it also included a whole day event with most living cast members and other fun events.
Is this Simi Valley? If not, this is all fake. I went to the real set and there was the bridge and a couple buildings for real left.

How cheap cardboard looks. Michael Landon would be sad!? This was a great show!! He's making a little too many jokes! Tasteless.
Not cardboard! The facades were beautifully crafted out of wood. They were excellent.
TICK CHECK !!!! 😬

It was a dream come true for me and a lot of other people as well❤
the cardboard houses are lame af
Well I guess nobody wants to spend the money to rebuild the structures and I wish someone would rebuild them.
This tour sucks
So basically there’s nothing there
Lame
I just found out that Charles became a Mason in De Smet while they where pretending to be Christians, so disappointing!
Interesting. But driver trying to be funny. Not impressed. 😮
