As much as I miss the intro and rating system, Jared's still making good videos. That HASN'T changed. So, there's at least that.
Imagine just casually walking along your neighborhood park only to find ProJared, sporting a full beard, creating a 10-foot chalk circle in the ground with a pile of marbles. That would certainly throw off your day in some way or another.
The PC port using a mouse was also pretty decent. That's how I played the game as a kid, and while I was never quite good enough to beat it, I never felt like that was because the game was unfair.

My class was taught how to play marbles in the fourth grade. Basically, there is a big marble in every bag of marbles. You use that one to try and shoot the other marbles out of the circle. Players take turns, and whatever marbles they shoot out of the circle, they get to keep. I forget how you win, though.
That ending had me dying just as much as I did playing this game. "My final rating for this game is a handful of marbles falling to their deaths out of 10"

Streets of Rage 2, Batman, The Terminator, Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi 3, Master of Monsters, and the Sonic games are just a few examples of the best they got out of that chip.

But whoever composed the Marble Madness soundtrack for Genesis really loves high piercing notes with weird harmonic structures and odd tempo structures. It’s just painful lol

This game drove me crazy as a kid, I was never once able to beat the Silly Race and I have no inclination to ever try again. Also I saw my name in the Twitch clips so YAY!

The arcade version is actually pretty damn good. You play it with a trackball, so the controls are pretty dead-on. The music kicks ass, too.

The wand is random, and looks like it’s a speed run killer, when it appears make you lose momentum and can get you killed easily.
It doesn't look like you lose momentum, it just pauses you and throws off your train of thought so that when the game resumes, you aren't ready for the direction the marble is moving.

Honestly, I would be far more creeped out if it _didn't._ because it would either mean that he's internalizing, which would be extremely unhealthy, or that he genuinely doesn't feel any care towards that whole fiasco, which would be a serious red flag.
