In this playlist, we'll share our adventures through the Middle East region and all the fantastic tours we'll be taking as a family. Expect beautiful images and many unique stories from the region. Our base is the city of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, and feel free to clear up any doubts about the region and ask your curiosities.
This time we took the weekend to visit the Emirate of Fujairah, about 2 hours from Dubai. Fujairah is a modern and somewhat industrial city, being the main urban center on the east coast of the UAE. The Emirate is situated amidst the wonderful and impressive Hajar Mountains.
The beaches in the north of the Emirate of Fujairah have some of the most incredible scenery in the country with a complete family-friendly hotel network, including countless activities and adventures such as sunbathing, swimming, parasailing, snorkling and scuba diving. We ended up doing two of them... it was just perfect and exciting!
Fujairah is a very complete destination, with its historical part very present and there are many old tourist spots to visit. In addition to several centuries-old fortresses, there is also the oldest mosque in the country, the Al Badiyah Mosque. Too bad we didn't get to visit on this trip.
And to enjoy the weekend, we stayed at Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa. The hotel is simply amazing! The hotel is a peaceful beach retreat, tucked away between the Hajar Mountains and the Indian Ocean, with a complete structure of restaurants, treatments and fun for the whole family. On the beach, the hotel also has the Adventure Sports team to schedule numerous activities, including tours for all tastes, such as the wonderful dives on Snoopy Island and Parasailing.
The hotel has two swimming pools, one for children with a water slide and the main pool, served by the Tropicana swim-up bar. The hotel has five restaurants and bars, plus 24-hour room service. Highlights include Waves, the beachfront restaurant, Bar Muda lounge bar and Mozaique for all-day dining.
