- What to expect from a 4 day safari experience in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Our adventure included jeep safaris and a Mokoro (traditional canoe) ride. We explored the Chobe National Park, Moremi Game Reserve and surrounding areas. Botswana is a beautiful place with a huge density of animals. You'll see everything here including leopards, giraffes, lions, baboons and of course a huge number of elephants!
I stayed in the incredible Mogotlho Lodge and booked with Indigo Safaris. I can highly recommend both! For more photos, recommendations and travel tips, check out my blog:

We were so very lucky to have you!
An amazing video, i was at Mogotlho a week ago and i enjoyed the African Safari.
Thank you so much! The lodge was incredible and I so happy to hear you enjoyed it as well!
Very nicely done! 👍 I was there way back in 1998 on a 10 day tour (which included 3 days in Zimbabwe at Victoria Falls). Chobe National Park, Moremi Game Reserve, and the Savuti Marsh area. The camps/lodges were very similar to yours (quality of accommodations, etc.). “If there were one more thing I could do, it would be to go on safari once again.” - Karen Blixen, _Out Of Africa_ Cheers! 🙂
Thank you so much 🙏🏻Very jealous as I really wanted to visit Victoria Falls! It was the trip of a lifetime and our lodge was just incredible!
Greta video!
My wife and I are going next year and you have certainly increased our excitement.
There is one question that perhaps you can help with. What was the story on luggage in small plane that brought you to the camp? Thanks if you can help.
Thank you so much. You will have an incredible time so definitely get excited! :) We didnt actually take a small plane to the camp. We flew into Maun and the lodge picked us up from there in a jeep. It was a 2hr drive to the lodge but you saw animals on the way, so not a bad journey at all. We just stayed at the one lodge to limit travel and maximise our time. Hope that helps!
We went twice in 2022. Small planes really want and need your luggage to be soft-sided and light. We were given (and met) a weight limit of 33 lbs per person, including camera gear. We each used a 40 liter duffle (from Eagle Creek) plus a soft (but firm) camera bag. No wheels if at all possible. Anything like that makes it harder to fit bags into the small holds. Since all camps do laundry (included), you don't need lots of clothing. Some of the small planes hold up to 12 passengers, while others are 4 to 6 passengers.
@@caroldavis4560 thanks. Commando it is!
We were gone for 4-5 weeks and it was perfectly doable.
@@caroldavis4560thanks that great advice! Appreciate you sharing!
Amy, Thankyou for this. Did you do chobe as well ?
Most welcome! We only stayed here so unfortunately didn’t get to experience Chobe.
Beautiful Safari Lodge, how much would it cost for the 2 of us including game drives?
We paid about $2000 per person, and that’s all inclusive 4 days/3 nights. We booked through Indigo Safaris. Highly recommend them!
What about Tips? Do you tip the jeep drivers?@@JourneyswithLeJune
@@ssap3717our guide was our driver. So we definitely did tip him. From the other tours we saw the drivers were the guides as well!
How much was the cost for safari please
We paid around $2000 per person.
Not another tank!
Nice however too many selfies. Would be better if there was more focus on animals instead. Just my humble opinion.
Well stay tuned, will be doing an animal only video of the trip soon. 😁
