  • This is a tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of the romhack Pokemon Crystal Clear, version 2.1.2.
This is a HUGE improvement over my similar run in 2.0 BETA (~5 hours 19 minutes), mostly due to newly introduced wild encounters and some additional game features. This run features 99% less gym time while making light of a crippling Game Corner addiction, with a dash of petty theft to spice things up.
There are a handful of tiny inaccuracies on the way through, but the biggest time-wasting issue by far was leaving Lugia in the top slot throughout most of the run; switching to Snorlax (whose battle cry is MUCH shorter) during phases of the playthrough that lack Trainer battles would have been more ideal. That one change alone could likely have shaved close to 2 minutes of the final time. Oh well...
    Enjoy.

This is too good. Catches everything with the first ball. Runs into new Pokémon every time instead of duplicates. Just too good to be true.

How do you catch everything on the first ball I just threw 37 poke balls at a lvl 5 bulbasaur I don’t understand

RNG manipulation to have it catch on the first ball

Lol now with 2.5.0 released and the whole Mirror Ball and Origin Plains shenanigans, I have no idea how everything will change.

37:26 Why did you go the long way to this item lol. You can just enter the ice and then go up-left-down-right to get to it right? Or am I going crazy?

      Oof. Big oof.
I've been playing Gen2 since it came out over 20 years ago and I NEVER realized this. Guess I need to redo the whole thing now! Lol.

@@mrconmanstan1383 I don’t know if this was possible in the version of the game the TAS was made on, but you can also skip all the fights in Sprout Tower if you come in via a back entrance on the water left of the gym, which allows you to steal the Rainbow Wing.

It's a catch em all speedrun he only does it that way because it is optimal for saving time because in a speedrun every millisecond counts
