I did this manoeuvre on my test yesterday after watching your video. I had no instructor, I'd only had a bit of practice with my parents and I was driving a hire car I'd never driven in a town I'd never been to before. Unbelievably I passed with zero faults, so thanks so much for your help!!
I passed my driving test recently. Your videos helped me pass my test and I thank you so very much. I first started watching your videos 7 years ago around beginning of 2016 when I first learned how to drive in India.. then there was a gap where I didn't drive at all between Sept 2017 and July 2021 when I started to drive.. .. I finally passed the UK driving test at the end of July 2023 first time with one minor. Thank you Chris 🎉
@josephsuman8805, it's amazing to hear your driving journey unfold across continents! Starting in India and conquering the roads in the UK is a testament to your adaptability and determination. Passing with just one minor is a remarkable feat that showcases your skill and focus. Thank you for watching over the years. I never take the views for granted 😂. Keep driving safely and enjoy the exciting road ahead! 🛣️🌟👏 - Chris
Wow.. Thank you for your encouragement..It means a lot to me.. I will keep up to the expectations and will never forget you and your videos.. Thank you Chris 🤝😇👍❤️
Definitely make sure to constantly check over your right shoulder whilst doing the manoeuvre. I failed yesterday, as even though I checked both blind spots and my mirrors, I wasn’t aware you needed to recheck the right shoulder several times
1:23 If you have parked really close to the kerb. Say, 1 cm from the kerb then when you reverse a slight right lock will put the rear end into hitting the kerb whereas a slight left lock will put your front wheels into a kerb strike. I should not want to be nearer than four inches with the car straight in the road and the steering wheel and therefore front wheels pointing straight ahead.
Absolutely, you've got this! 🚗💪 End of August is your time to shine. Believe in yourself and keep practicing. Sending you all the positive vibes and good luck for your driving test.
is this really essential for every cars no matter what size pull over on street curb to park? when way matches curb there is no need to reverse or turn the steering wheel?
I failed yesterday because pulling right manevour as I am faraway from the kerb the reason why I do it because I don’t want to sit on left side for too long I just think because of me the cars behind me are waiting too long and I don’t want to obstruct the oncoming car .. I made this manevour difficult for me and failed bcz of this can u plz do this manevour in busy street so we should know how to do this manevour in busy traffic with the upcoming cars
2:23 Parking brake is applied once you have stopped then neutralise car and wait to be told what to do next. Examiner will say something like "move off when you are ready" It needs to be safe.
My instructor told me to do this by turning around and looking out the rear, not by facing forwards and using the mirrors, he said i can even remove my seatbelt and use one hand to control the wheel, is this correct?
Yes, your instructor is mostly correct. You are allowed to glance in the side mirrors just don't stare at them as you should mostly look through the rear window.
failed today on this maneuver After i reversed i put it in gear, did my checks, put the signal on and a fiesta came in front of me round the bend He stopped in front of me at about 10 meters, to let me go...i waited about 5 sec just to make sure he s not moving...and i drove off Examiner told me i failed because even though he stopped to give me way to go back into my lane, i should have cancelled the signal.. let him go on the other side of the road and pass me.. and then i should have moved off...what happened if he just waited there for 20 mins ? ..i m gutted...other than that i had 2 minors..
Do you have to constantly look out you back window while reversing cause I looked back then just reverse while looking out of me mirrors she then told me when a failed a did it wrong
I wouldn't risk it mate. I did a test 15 years ago and failed as a pedestrian was walking by as I was doing a 3 point turn.. more dangerous manoeuvre but i have another test Monday ( only took me 15 years to get over the last one lol ) and even if my instructor says it's allowed I won't be doing it. For the sake of 10 seconds letting them walk by just wait I'd say
I'm 37 years old and I have just watched this. Is the biggest pile of rubbish I've ever seen in my life. How can you even call this a manoeuvre? I'm gobsmacked that there's no 3 point Turn reverse round a corner. This generation are absolutely screwed.😅😅😅

Passed my test yesterday, second time with three minors, thank you so much for the helpful videos! :)
Congratulations on passing your driving test! I'm happy to hear that our videos were helpful. Keep up the safe driving and enjoy it!
I passed today when doing this I tapped the kerb right at the end, the instructor just marked it down as a minor luckily
I would like to commend your efforts in doing this for us because it's been so helpful.
This is the manoeuvre i did on my test which i passed. I found it to be the easiest manoeuvre. Passed on my third attempt with only two minors.
Congratulations on passing your driving test 🙂
Yes they do @haneefahsideeqah
Thanks, Chris I've been practising this a few times I will deffo try a reference point on the back window.
Hope it helps :)
Got my test today just doing some last minute revision wish me luck all
Good luck

I’ve failed twice on this manoeuvre for control and observation
Same happened yesterday I don’t know why
To this day ill never understand why you have to look at the pavement and the blindspot like pedestrians are gunna disturb you reversing or something
Last time I failed with this fault now i cleared thanks for uploading this video
Thanks for watching 🙂
Thank you very much !
I've got my test at the end of August. Please wish me good luck

Good luck 👍
How did it go mate? Mine is on 18th August.
Can i still reverse if there are pedestrians or kids walking on the right hand side of the pathway

You're being hesitant stop that
are you looking through the back window via the mirror or over your shoulder? cheers!
Over shoulder 👍
Are you reversing with your the hand brake on?
No 🙂

I've got my test on Thursday July, pls pray for me

I also failed bcz of this manevour yesterday don’t have any minor. The manevour is difficult as compared to other manevour
Do you have to constantly look out you back window while reversing cause I looked back then just reverse while looking out of me mirrors she then told me when a failed a did it wrong
This is what I’ve failed for twice
test on tuesday, but had to hire a dual control car as my instructor car broke down, will it make much difference
did you pass?
test at 11🤞
Hi. While taking reverse ,do we need to stop the car ,if there is someone walking on the pavement and passing by us !

I failed for this today after 60hrs of lesson and spending thousands on the lessons 😢
😢
Choose the right instructor , believe me it's not that difficult to pass with good driving instructor
Today my test wish me good luck please
Good luck 👍
If you look over your shoulder before pulling up for this I’m sure you will fail the test…??
You'll only fail if you miss something or someone.
1:08 Would that count as a driving test fail?
As you parked up by someone's driveway.
The examiner may tell you to ignore the driveways.
@@worlddriving Thanks for getting back to me.
Also amazing news!
Just got back from my drivers test for the second time and I passed it!!
Congratulations!!
