- I went for it guys! I bought a £8,500 Range Rover L322 BLIND whilst driving a VW campervan through the Scottish Highlands...not your average day!

the inside of the rear hatch has a pull release "for emergency exit". look for a cable behind a piece of plastic trim, that'll open the lower rear manually until you get it sorted

A good cleaner like Autoglym Interior Shampoo and good magic sponges will get those seats clean. I've just bought an XC70 with a light interior. Brought it up lovely.

Not really caution to the wind as it came from a dealer and has a warranty plus all associated consumer rights. Don’t get me wrong, you still need a reliable supply of brave pills though. 😊l😂

Very interesting car combo. I've got a 2012 L320 3.0 SDV6 and a 1998 996 C2 manual.
Seats - Autoglym leather treatment kit has done a nice job on my L322 interior.
Lower tailgate button - well known issue, look at Full Fat RR forum for answers.
That back right brake calliper looks like it needs at least a good clean, possibly more, as seemed a bit rusty.
Nice work on getting one with rear recliners - they're pretty rare. Have you got the right parcel shelf though? Should have little sprung flaps at the front (bonnet) end of the shelf.

The cooled seats are well worth having. Price was a tad high, but put that behind you and you're good to go.

That’s a very interesting spec Vogue… looks to have adaptive cruise , Adaptive Bi- xenons and those Electric rear seats are mainly on the Autobiographies 👀

I normally have 2 cars, the last pair was a discovery 4 and a Porsche 997 , the Discovery has a reputation for snapping its crankshaft, the Porsche has a reputation for bore scoring, nothing happened to mine but you do get some anxiety at night laying in bed sometimes when you have high risk cars. Good luck , and enjoy.
4.4 TDV8 and 996 owner here. Both need good servicing and maintenance, but both have issues that are massively exaggerated, just enjoy them and drive them and service them, life's too short.

I'd recommend a BMW L322 instead of a Ford L322, also 160k miles the price was too high. Around 5k tops. The delivery isn't free either that's all factored into the price. Anyway hope you enjoy the car and best of luck you seem super nice.
If it's rotary gear selector that means it's a 4.4 tdv8 but they don't normally want turbos 3.6 yes but not 4.4 I'd be cautious about that .
Your not alone in being impulsive when it comes to cars. Twice now I've taken my car in for a service to the dealer (One Disco 4 & One 530d MSport) and both times I've come out with a new car instead.........

It never seizes to amaze me that those who know about the reliability issues of a specific vehicle still buy it anyway. Either they are a mechanic or they have a truck load of disposable cash. I'd love a Range Rover but wouldn't buy one because I Know better.

Bought my RR sport tdv8 had 105000 for £9700 , never towed,,I love it seen cheaper but ,, been great 2nd year of ownership,,, 😉👍
Geist and Colourlock leather cleaners, conditioners, and protectants are great products. Now go find a 996. 😉
Its all ways better to pay over the odds to get what you want, its must better than missing out on a deal

I am a car detailer, your leather seats need leather cleaner with a soft brush. Then Autoglym leather cream to feed and nourish the cream leather back to normal. Good luck. Mark.

This is is my mates old car was written off well should of bug gott it repaired by a garage in birmingham when he sold it they had all the paper work so should have that as was warranty for the work done to the structural parts liable though no issues at all

4.4 TDV8 is the best but... have you chosen a colour that you can colour match to the 996? That's the *important* question...
Oops, just watched to the end, you can probably colour match that!
I like the colour, like the wheels. The leather will clean no problem. The key you can *add* but not *remove* on these. GAP tool can add them and you can get the newer/smaller style key to work on them too. Spec looks great! Reclining rear seats is a nice bonus!

Everyone needs a Chief Enabler for these things; my current car was an unexpected purchase; I was car shopping and a good friend suggested looking at it as it fit my requirements. I saw it and loved it, sat in it and loved it, drove it and loved it and have loved it ever since. I say it is my friends' fault in the best way possible.

I can't believe a dealer sent a £8500 car out to a customer looking like that, it's filthy, you shouldn't have to valet a car you have just bought. If that was my car I'd be going over it with a fine tooth comb. I would say you well overpaid for that car £5500-£6000 tops.
