    Thank you for this! The diagram that came with the clutch was pretty confusing...

    looks great!!! Thanks for Video. How come you went with a Design with a spyder spring vs other? Same bike I have, 2002 S4. I am comparing EVER/Ducabike/K bike and see what else..

      I was not racing this bike, only commuting so I honestly did not do a ton of research into the type of spring it came with. I currently have 45,000 miles on the bike and (18k on the clutch) and no issues other than its a bit louder now :)

    Thanks a lot for this video. Did you choose the K-Bike brand over other compatible slippers for a particular functional/performance reason, or was it strictly on price? What are the differences between slipper clutches?

    • @ctadams21
      @ctadams21  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I chose K-BIke because the price was very attractive and the vendor (Black Label Meccanica) was very trustworthy, even helped me with some tech questions. I mostly commute on this bike but I like that the slipper lets me downshift quickly in traffic without rear wheel lock up

    My spring retainer kit came with shims. My 09 Monster 1100 is a street machine. Do I only need one set of shims?

    I have a brand new k bike slipper on my 1098 and like if even over rev the bike above 3k rpm it goes ERR JERK like grinding like a tractor, like I’ve had 15 bikes and none of them have been so sensitive to get into gear. Any ideas why it’s like this? Thanks

    • @ctadams21
      @ctadams21  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not 100% sure why that would happen but They are easy to take apart and inspect. Once it’s out you should check the stack height to make sure it’s in spec.Also make sure the concave steel plate is facing the correct direction. Good luck!

    Hello, did you put grease on the little balls or does the balls work perfect without?

    • @ctadams21
      @ctadams21  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Famke Vergauwen Hello! I did put a small amount on there when first assembled although I’m sure it’s all gone by now.

    This will be the same for a 06 Ducati 999 right?

      Should be very similar

      @@ctadams21 did you ever get a weird grind sound when taking off on 1st gear. I rechecked mine and I keep having this sound. Are you giving it lots of throttle on take off? I contacted kbike and still no response. It almost sounds like the metal balls are going up the ramp or what not. I rechecked and everything looked good. It’s only on first gear.

    • @ctadams21
      @ctadams21  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@parales03 that’s odd, I have not had that issue and no, I don’t have to give it extra throttle to take off although I do get a little bit of low speed chatter until the revs come up a bit
