- After over half a year of planning and 100+ hours of tasing over exactly one month I have completed it. The How Did We Get Here TAS, the one we've all been waiting for. The thing I only ever dreamed of achieving~

back in early November of 2017, Mathew Bolan introduced his How Did We Get Here RTA run to me, clocking in at about 41 minutes. Together over a few months I brought that down to an 18:20. All RTA, I then started on this TAS later on. After essentially forever, it's now a 4:21 tas. Just over a year. What do you know...

I just love how desperate the character looks while waiting for potions to brew or breaking blocks. It's just like "Cm'on, hurry up. This part is comprehensible for regular people"

When you do TAS before the computer plays you have to play and to get frame perfect things they play in slow motion so breaking stuff in Minecraft is SUPER SLOW like that

I thought it said 4 hours and i found that quite a reasonable time even for a Tas for such a hard achievement until i saw how long the video was.

It takes me a week of playing the game 10 hours a day to get to the ender dragon because I won’t fight it without maxed netherite gear
@red I had 3 other people with me and we all died multiplied times. the lowest grade material anyone had was full diamond, because we had so many sets of it from raids and exploiting villagers. We all had mending, efficiency IV, Protection III, Sharpness III, and I’m sure there were plenty of other enchantments. It was my first time beating the ender dragon ever, and I’ve played for 6-8 years. I took a long break from 2017-2019 to play Fortnite and shit mobile games, so that was my first time back, as well. In hindsight, there were many other things I should’ve brought; blocks, bows, buckets of water, totems of undying, etc. During this time, I didn’t realize a bucket of water was one of the best tools in Minecraft. All of the other things we had, but we didn’t bring enough of. After almost 100 hours of raiding and breaking villagers, we had about 30 totems, which we did not use. My brother rage quit, losing all his stuff while I beat the ender dragon. I then logged off off for a few hours to do other stuff, and when I got back on the next day after walking over 4000 blocks for the elytra and going to bed, my brother told me he logged onto my full netherite account(of which he also had), and then told me he got the elytra. I was super happy, but I asked him why he used my account, and he told me it was because I was in the end, and he was back at base. So anyways, I go to put my armor on, and wouldn’t you know it, I see my full netherite armor and tools! But something was off. None of the armor had the right enchantments, and so I asked my brother what the hell was going on. He said nothing. I said what? What did you do to my armor? He then told me all about how he fell into the void on my account with my netherite armor that I had spent more than 5 hours getting with the help of villagers and raiding. I was so furious, and when I get upset, he usually leaves, and he told me it was just a game. I then told him what the fuck do you mean it’s just a game. The only game here is you jumping into the void, causing me to lose everything I own, and then worst of all GAMEMODING an elytra and my armor back. He then left the room, and I played for a few more minutes before realizing all motivation was gone. The world was ruined because my brother cheated on our world with one rule: no cheating, which includes gamemoding. After realizing my motivation wasn’t there, I deleted the world, and I still don’t regret it. I then went on to make a world with a cave that I kid you not extends over THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of blocks in any direction. It’s literally the biggest cave I have ever seen in all my years of watching and playing Minecraft. I’ve looted it for three hours, but there’s still so much more. 2 stacks of fake diamond, 12 real diamonds(my luck with diamonds is worse than my luck with netherite, but I find netherite with ease), 5 stacks of iron, 7 stacks of coal, 5 stacks of red stone, and I’m not even done. Anyway, thank you for coming to my Ted talk on why I suck at Minecraft, and how the world I was talking about with the netherite in my previous comment ended, and this gave birth to a new, beautiful world

I didn't even know it was possible to get into the end city before defeating the dragon
There's a glitch where placing an end crystal down after you enter the end will confuse the game, and the ender dragon won't be there.
He didnt place an end crystal and he didnt bridge... can anyone else explain?

@@deananderson8186 I think he used a glitch where he closed the game the same frame he went to the end, so the game saved that he was in the end, but didn't change his coordinates yet. So he spawned in the end on the same coordinates where he was in the overworld. The end islands are always loaded in, so he was instantly there. It's something like that I'm not sure about the exact details.

Getting the hardest advancement in the game in time for lunch

I've got one question though: Why do you wait a few seconds at 3:28 until you ignite the portal?
Thanks! :> if you notice when I first pearl to that ledge I put some potions in a brewing stand to _brew_ and the issue with that is that it takes 20 seconds and will reset progress whenever you reload the game(or a savestate for that matter haha) or change dimensions. So I’m waiting until they’ve been brewing for 16 seconds so I can enter the overworld as soon as they finish

I'm confused how did he get to the end islands? Also what version was this in?
There’s a trick where if you push alt-F4 and close the game right as you _ender_ the end portal you will be put at your overworld coordinates in the end instead of 0,0. This end portal was more than 1,000 blocks from 0,0 in the overworld so it plopped me out at the end islands(which are 1,000 blocks from end 0,0)

Are we just gonna skip over how good the seed is? I mean, he spawns right next to a Desert Temple and a Village then theres an open Dungeon, which is VERY rare. Then he goes to the Nether, and theres a Fortress close to him. He nether teleports to an OCEAN MONUMENT and goes to the end. I know its a TAS but this is insane
100%! so good that even in a day and age where most speedrun seeds can be found by super advanced bots, this one still remains
