    I’ve tried it! It worked pretty well but faded a little when washing.

    Okay, I've been doing t-shirts/tanks for some time. I use high quality fresh HTV & Glitter HTV. My first question, if that is a sublimation transfer how well does it wash with the sublimation being pressed on Glitter HTV? Sublimations are mainly for 50% or more polyester in order for it to infuse into the material and stay. Second question, Glitter HTV in most cases is a typical press at 320 degrees for about 18-20 seconds (of course depending on maker). I understand you are just tacking it for a few seconds, I do this as well if I am layering but cooking that glitter HTV at 385 degrees for the 2-3 seconds PLUS the 40 seconds (with the sublimation) aren't you just cooking away the adhesive on the Glitter HTV and causing potential early peeling issues? This is about 65 degrees hotter and pressing for 22 seconds longer than suggested with Glitter HTV. I am just bring this to the table to new crafters so they don't ruin or waste materials if its not going to be a successful item to give to someone or possibly sell. ~

      Hi there! At about 4 minutes in, Crystal presses down the HTV for a few seconds to be able to remove the carrier sheet, then she presses for the 40 seconds. The timing could also depend on the brand of HTV but any peeling issues could be avoided by washing correctly as well. We have other HTV to sublimation videos as well and haven't had any issues with early peeling but thank you for bringing this to our attention!

    I want to try the painted on look, but it's too unpractical for a person just wanting a few shirts for themselves

    Why not just use transfer paper and a ink jet printer at that point if your using a transfer then a print?

    I would love to know how to prevent fading where heat overlaps when sublimation image is too large for the heat press and must be pressed in sections. Ive noticed where the heat overlaps it fades quite a bit but without overlapping i cant guarantee an even transfer. Help!

    Can you reuse your hand drawn sublimation picture and just keep coloring it in?

    I am new to crafting so forgive me if this sounds "amateur."
    Do you use a special type of HTV sublimation paper? Do you use HTV to be able to sublimate on cotton t's? I have the sublimation products but haven't yet tried it so I am confused if I need HTV as well...

    • @nanceynoway9275
      @nanceynoway9275 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, she said in the video it is "glitter htv" but there are other methods. One of which is a transfer sheet for sublimation on dark material/fabrics, they also have the transfer sheet for sublimating on light colored 100% cotton shirts.

    Can anyone tell me, if I want interfacing on the back of my fabric, should I apply it before I sublimate? Will the sublimation "take" if there is interfacing on the back of the polyester? Thanks for any help...
