Congratulations 😁. I would cover the bottom of the chasis with 3 layers of duct tape to keep it looking new and prevents screw top from getting scraped/stripped. It also helps with with resale value. Adding duct tape to 4 arms helps too. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.👍👍😁

Hiya! Yes it's a tough decision for sure. It's really that personal preference. However if you are thinking of upgrading the motor and esc in the future then the 124019 will have more space. I got the red and white 144001 yesterday, used it once for about 2mins rolled it and one of the plastic steering mounts snapped so it’s gonna get gorilla glued and taped, i expected more to be honest but it’s nothing major and still fun for the money, i suggest buying lots of spare parts or hop ups at the same time you purchase buggy so you don’t have to wait

@@JohnRobinsonRC It’s no biggy tbh John good thing about these cars is sourcing parts is usually very simple and cheap and diy fixes will last till your parts turn up, i have a kraton 4s that has been out of action for a while as parts are quite expensive and not very easy to get hold of for the Kraton 4s as they don’t make them any more, but it won’t stop me bashing it when i do get it fixed 🤣 Loved the vid and thanks for replying, stay safe and enjoy the new buggy mate👍

I'd really like to see a deep-dive comparison video between the 144001 and the new buggy. What parts are interchangeable, and which parts are unique to the 124019? Can you use the 144001 metal suspension arms, shocks, etc? Stock drag race times? Maybe a basic handling test, see how different they are. Great first video of the 124019 in action. You are the probably the first with a proper running video of the car. It does look pretty much look the same as the 144001 so that means the parts are interchangeable. Besides the chassis, centre drive shaft and battery, I presume all other parts are the same dimensions as the 144001?

Shipping, and tell them to take stuff off the driveshaft. All they have is the fully upgraded all metal one. I've got parts, I just want a shaft holmes.. Ya know? They said they would knock some off if we didn't need all the upgrades on the shaft. Maybe if enough of us do it they will sell just the shaft. I dunno.
The 144001 was briefly called the 206 Evolution because its written on the body. It didn't last. The 124019 has a number 13 but that's Uninspiring as well. Maybe we need a naming post on the Facebook group and sent the ideas to WLToys! 😂😂😂

So, I have one of these showing up at the crib and I now have all these crazy videos like this one making it seem like the WLTOYS #BLAH......124019 IS THE greatest thing on earth. I get that it’s a fun basher and the 1st thing everyone needs to do is lube up all the differentials which WLTOYS really scrimped on the grease. I got my synthetic spooge ready to gooo if ya get my drift and drifting is exactly WTF is what I will be doing with my well lubed machine. Seriously it makes the car much faster as well. Good morning Philip. I think the hype behind the car is because of the cost. A lot of people don't have a huge amount of money and the WLToys is enabling people to get into the hobby cheaply. Which is great! Yes it needs grease but then it should work fine. I have been using white lithium grease for a bit now and finding the same thing that the cars are a little faster and certainly smoother. Two weeks is a lot. But one of my cars took 2.5 months so 2 weeks sounds reasonable. I ordered a 124019 and 124018 on the 20th October from Aliexpress...... one i managed to get a refund on, the other still is not sent but I cannot get a refund because the seller attached a fake tracking number and then cancelled it but Aliexpress computer system judges it as sent.... So it could be worse mate! 😂😊
I think every seller on DHGATE is a scam. Wouldnt be surprised if there are no sellers and its all made up by DHGate. At least you can get decent Aliexpress sellers. Just dont order pre-order! Thats the key. 😀

Honestly I think the 124019 is the best all rounder. Saying that the new 104001 has just been released so that could be the new king on the block. But if you cannot afford a 104001 then the 124019 would be my choice. 😀

Hiya. I really cannot recommend one as I dont have a cheap one. No let me say again. I have a cheap one but the vibration make the footage unusable. Cameras like go pro and my Insta360 have stabilisation which makes it usuable but of course they aren't cheap. So in this case you have to go up in price to avoid being sick watching the footage. 😊 👍

My biggest worry is if whatever mechanism puts the wheel to the car is a different size etc. Guess I'll just go off the specs of the 144001 which apparently has same wheel sizes/setup.

Phat bodys has them. Several styles. LWB LCA Racing vehicles, is what you look for. I like the Bolt for Speed Runs. They have the cab forward Truggy style everyone likes in the stretch size too. I was on a serious quest for the best 144001 - LWB conversion that could be done. I found the parts, found that don't fit, ect. Now they do this. Image the sensation of the wind being taken from your sails, and great excitement at the same time. I like it! Everything fits, and I do like purple. Now I get to work on my dream 6s build. I wanna break 150mph. Looks like this thing should be stable enough to do it.

You really can order just the chassis plate, center driveshaft, brace, and that body l, or a phat body and be there. I checked, the parts are available now. www.wltoysrc.com They are still changing pics and stuff, but the parts are right, price isn't too bad. Gotta tell them you don't need the $30 fully upgraded driveshaft, just the shaft. Shipping adds to it, just like ordering LC Racing parts. Same drill, and China shipping times.
Thank god someone else noticed. On the video it sounded like a jet engine. OK a small one but it did sound different! 😊 Maybe the tires? They feel a bit different.
Loving the enthusiasm John. Have you tried monster truck/truggy tires on any of the wl toys. We find it much more fun on the rough stuff. They are actually pretty good quality. Period. Really pretty good. And throw in that they are treating this line like the racing brands out there and listening to us, and responding with changes to assembly, ( better wheel nut job )materials quality, ( steel shock towers stock ) and now providing a platform for Speed Runners that is a very stable, we know this one allready and there is tons of support. Like this channel! Speed running really gave this thing a nice notoriety boost, especially after hitting 115mph! Yea Baby! GO! And they've brought us probably the most desired upgrade next to an adjustable motor mount 540 class. That's huge. I'll stick around for that alone!

Congratulations 😁. I would cover the bottom of the chasis with 3 layers of duct tape to keep it looking new and prevents screw top from getting scraped/stripped. It also helps with with resale value. Adding duct tape to 4 arms helps too. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.👍👍😁

I got the red and white 144001 yesterday, used it once for about 2mins rolled it and one of the plastic steering mounts snapped so it’s gonna get gorilla glued and taped, i expected more to be honest but it’s nothing major and still fun for the money, i suggest buying lots of spare parts or hop ups at the same time you purchase buggy so you don’t have to wait

@@JohnRobinsonRC It’s no biggy tbh John good thing about these cars is sourcing parts is usually very simple and cheap and diy fixes will last till your parts turn up, i have a kraton 4s that has been out of action for a while as parts are quite expensive and not very easy to get hold of for the Kraton 4s as they don’t make them any more, but it won’t stop me bashing it when i do get it fixed 🤣

I'd really like to see a deep-dive comparison video between the 144001 and the new buggy. What parts are interchangeable, and which parts are unique to the 124019? Can you use the 144001 metal suspension arms, shocks, etc? Stock drag race times? Maybe a basic handling test, see how different they are. Great first video of the 124019 in action. You are the probably the first with a proper running video of the car. It does look pretty much look the same as the 144001 so that means the parts are interchangeable. Besides the chassis, centre drive shaft and battery, I presume all other parts are the same dimensions as the 144001?

They got the parts. For real. No wait, got em. Still changing pictures and such, but the parts are there. And they will sell them to us! I verified with them. Shipping, and tell them to take stuff off the driveshaft. All they have is the fully upgraded all metal one. I've got parts, I just want a shaft holmes.. Ya know? They said they would knock some off if we didn't need all the upgrades on the shaft. Maybe if enough of us do it they will sell just the shaft. I dunno.

IS THE greatest thing on earth. I get that it’s a fun basher and the 1st thing everyone needs to do is lube up all the differentials which WLTOYS really scrimped on the grease. I got my synthetic spooge ready to gooo if ya get my drift and drifting is exactly WTF is what I will be doing with my well lubed machine. Seriously it makes the car much faster as well. Good morning Philip. I think the hype behind the car is because of the cost. A lot of people don't have a huge amount of money and the WLToys is enabling people to get into the hobby cheaply. Which is great! Yes it needs grease but then it should work fine. I have been using white lithium grease for a bit now and finding the same thing that the cars are a little faster and certainly smoother. Amazing how a little grease can transform the car! 😊

Two weeks is a lot. But one of my cars took 2.5 months so 2 weeks sounds reasonable. I ordered a 124019 and 124018 on the 20th October from Aliexpress...... one i managed to get a refund on, the other still is not sent but I cannot get a refund because the seller attached a fake tracking number and then cancelled it but Aliexpress computer system judges it as sent.... So it could be worse mate! 😂😊

Honestly I think the 124019 is the best all rounder. Saying that the new 104001 has just been released so that could be the new king on the block. But if you cannot afford a 104001 then the 124019 would be my choice. 😀

Hiya. I really cannot recommend one as I dont have a cheap one. No let me say again. I have a cheap one but the vibration make the footage unusable. Cameras like go pro and my Insta360 have stabilisation which makes it usuable but of course they aren't cheap. So in this case you have to go up in price to avoid being sick watching the footage. 😊 👍

My biggest worry is if whatever mechanism puts the wheel to the car is a different size etc. Guess I'll just go off the specs of the 144001 which apparently has same wheel sizes/setup.

Phat bodys has them. Several styles. LWB LCA Racing vehicles, is what you look for. I like the Bolt for Speed Runs. They have the cab forward Truggy style everyone likes in the stretch size too.
I was on a serious quest for the best 144001 - LWB conversion that could be done. I found the parts, found that don't fit, ect. Now they do this. Image the sensation of the wind being taken from your sails, and great excitement at the same time.
I like it! Everything fits, and I do like purple. Now I get to work on my dream 6s build. I wanna break 150mph. Looks like this thing should be stable enough to do it.

You really can order just the chassis plate, center driveshaft, brace, and that body l, or a phat body and be there. I checked, the parts are available now.

They are still changing pics and stuff, but the parts are right, price isn't too bad. Gotta tell them you don't need the $30 fully upgraded driveshaft, just the shaft. Shipping adds to it, just like ordering LC Racing parts. Same drill, and China shipping times.

Loving the enthusiasm John. Have you tried monster truck/truggy tires on any of the wl toys. We find it much more fun on the rough stuff. I ordered the 124018, really wanted the LC racing desert truck one but this was only £73.00! The LC racing is £180.00.

They are actually pretty good quality. Period. Really pretty good. And throw in that they are treating this line like the racing brands out there and listening to us, and responding with changes to assembly, ( better wheel nut job )materials quality, ( steel shock towers stock ) and now providing a platform for Speed Runners that is a very stable, we know this one allready and there is tons of support. Like this channel!
Speed running really gave this thing a nice notoriety boost, especially after hitting 115mph! Yea Baby! GO!
And they've brought us probably the most desired upgrade next to an adjustable motor mount 540 class.
That's huge. I'll stick around for that alone!
