Is how he is showing his response to the hate. Sometimes you don't need to say much or anything at all. Do as usual and stay unbothered. LOL

    I taught kindergarten second and third grade for 27 years. My suggestion would be to clearly label some things around the house in your best writing. Also talk more to her, no baby talk, so no baba. You use the correct words and then maybe she'll use the correct words. Also encourage her to repeat words after you say them... For instance, do you want to play with this toy? Can you say toy?? Make a habit of talking to her like that and then she'll start responding very quickly. If she just points to something you say it and then ask her to say it

    Kindergarten teacher here. Some kids first "collect words" and start to speak at age 3. You're doing a great job already talking to her normally.
    Maybe you could comment her actions more throughout the day to "give her" the words, for example: "You're picking up your toy. You walk away with it. Oh, now it fell down." And so on.
    Hope it helps a little!

    I talked to my kids like I talk to anyone. I do not use baby talk. Like baba is not a word use the correct words. If it is water say water if bottle say bottle. My second and third started talking very early and our doctor told me it was because I did not use baby talk or let others use baby talk around my kids. The daycare also started doing the same and now they have a no baby talk in the toddler rooms.

    My son struggled with speech. I sang to him a lot. At first, i sang the whole song, and then i would leave parts out. I used Old Mcdonald, and i would leave out an animal, later animal, and then a sound. Have conversations with her, like a grownup. When she points, say what she is pointing at and ask her to repeat. If she holding something identify it and ask her questions. All children learn at different paces. If you are really concerned, take her to be accessed and possible speech therapy. You are doing a great job. None of us are perfect. You got this!

    I love seeing the baby with the broom
    And dustpan; so cute. You can get toddler sized cleaning tools from a montessori catalog. A local montessori toddler program can give her lessons in tablewashing and sweeping, mopping, etc. " Work of the hands" can help speech development. You are doing a great job!

    You could have your little girl screened for early intervention/speech pathologist. Also, if she gets current ear infections that could also cause a speech delay because she isn't hearing all of the sounds correctly. Hope this helps!

    • @the_solodad
      @the_solodad  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      Yes - I think that is exactly what is going on. It happened with my son as well. Pediatrician said we will wait until next wcc to see if her speech has improved.

    • @valtoton2982
      @valtoton2982 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Chris, don't wait! You're loosing time of critical development... Push the doctors and advocate for your child! The evaluation for Early Intervention is FREE! So are their resources! My pediatrician said wait it out, but my experience as a kindergarten and preschool teacher, and licensed infant care specialist with years of studying child development hands on, led me to advocate for my child! This a critical time in speech development which affects much more than speech itself! I definitely did the right thing! I hope that you do to ... After all it can't hurt.

    What a special memory to make together! You are killing it and it is very mature how you are living your life and not stooping to the low level of the haters. You are setting a great example for your children who just like everyone will inevitably face challenges in life too. Keep doing what you are doing!!! Also does your phone have a reminders app? I couldn't survive without mine! I have weekly reminders in to take the garbage out, order groceries, etc which helps me stay on track. What I use it mostly for though are the little one time things that we as parents have to remember. "Dress us as this next Tuesday" or field trip next Friday. As soon as I get an email or their school sends a newsletter with important info in it I immediately add them into my phone. The reminder app saves me!

    • @Tuakie
      @Tuakie 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Omg! I use my reminders app CONSTANTLY! Lately I've just been using it when something pops into my mind that I don't want to forget like, "hey Google, remind me in 15 minutes to take out the trash" 😄 It's legit my assistant with most of life at this point

    Teaching a baby to talk is a piece of cake. There’s two things I use as a mom and special needs Nanny. Sing simple things. Use the tune to Twinkle Twinkle or any tune and melody you like. “Let’s Eat Breakfast, eggs for breakfast” you want a short song with 3 or 4 lines because you want her to learn it. The other is See and Say. Not the toy, it’s a teaching method. Gather up a few items, for instance a small rubber ball, not too small, the size she can’t put in her mouth. So a ball, a cup and a pretty dress. Two or three things, she will want it because you have it and she doesn’t. Sit down with her. Forget dishes, give the kid ten minutes. Sit down at a table put your two or three items in a chair by you, not in her sight line. She can sit in her high chair. This is not a multi tasking method. You sit, she sits. Show her the ball. Tell her it’s a Ball. Ask her to say ball. Make it a game. Show her the B sound. Put her hand on your lips. Make the B sound. Say the B sound then say Ball. She will want to eventually emulate you. Her older brother might work with her as well. Showing babies how to position their lips to make certain sounds is halfway to the word. Make sure TV is off when you work with her. Over stimulation doesn’t foster learning. I love my IPad a lot. I do notice in the digital age children are speaking much later than children in the 1980’s and 1990’s. My daughter spoke simple instructions by 7 months. It’s because my husband and I never shut up and we had friends come over who also never shut up. We played music constantly as well. I read to her every day and at night. It goes by quick. You won’t believe me now but eventually you will see. Do it now. Tomorrow is not promised. Sorry for this being so long but you did ask. Good Luck!

    As some one married with a husband & 3 kids, I use the expression “solo parenting” often! Not because I am a single parent but to describe parenting by myself, in the particular moment, hours or days being described. My OH “solo parents” much better than me, as parents we are not blessed with the same skill set or preferences. Currently, I am working 2 jobs to support my family, whilst he drives us where we have to go. We don’t have ‘blue’ or ‘pink’ jobs, we have division of labour and work as a team to get the tasks done. “Team work makes the dream work” Keep going Chris 🙏

    Have you ever thought about getting an Alexa to remind you of things? I am extremely forgetful and if it wasn't for my Alexa I would forget half my life honestly! I have spent years working with kids and I never baby talk with them even babies because children's minds are like sponges and if you speak to them like an adult they in time pick up on things. Get her cards or you can even make them for her with things she does to extend her language skills and it works wonders for little ones!

    People act like you’re misleading them and lying, but I’ve been watching you (on Facebook reels) for months now and I knew immediately that you had a wife. Like it’s no secret. People can find that out easily. Another thing, I’m so sick of every single parent who makes videos with their children being accused of “exploiting” them. You are literally filming yourself 99% of the time and we only catch quick glimpses of the kids. You aren’t like some family channels who are constantly shoving the camera in the kids’ faces and like “interviewing” them about intimate moments/personal details. I think you’re doing a great job! It can be so lonely being the solo or primary parent. I totally get it. And I commend you! ❤

And she will talk when she’s ready..My daughter did not talk till she was three. I then let her watch some Disney movies like Bambi. then you could here her singing along.. Everywhere …And Sesame Street dont get me started. Found myself talking like BigBird 😂😂😂😂😂. My pediatric
    patients loved it. Me not so much. ❤❤❤
