You are an amazing dad. But please don't think otherwise if you just let her cry, you know she's fine. I suggest just letting her cry it out. I know it's so hard and heartbreaking to hear your little baby crying but if you know they're fine then honestly I'd just let them cry. 🤷

Why do you you want her to stop the pacifier ?

Buy a front and back baby carrier. You are free to do what you need to do and baby feels safe.

I started taking the pacifier away early. When she was able to sit up we left it in her bed while she was awake. Then as she got older I only offered it if she needed it. By the time she could pull up to standing she would just automatically put it in the same spot in her bed. One night I noticed it fell out of the crib onto the floor and I didn't pick it up. She didn't cry or ask for it so I didn't give it to her. The next morning I came into her room with a sippy cup and she didn't have a chance to think about the pacifier. Lol

You need a house cleaning service and nanny to teach the youngsters to clean up after play. No way the person or persons leave your home a disaster area within itself. Hire a person to do your laundry while you are on shift. If you can't get help, maybe a church could get volunteers to come once or twice a week. Maybe retired grandparents would babysit for a 4 or shift. Get a bunch of grandparents.🙂🙃😊 or give an experienced cooking housekeeper free room and board for taking care of kids, cooking, and laundry. A 13-hour shift! I would volunteer to come help. And yes, I am a grandmother.

Dude who watches your kids when you are at work? Do they do nothing? I mean ok no laundry, but at least pick up toys, put dishes in the dishwasher and changing kids'clothes and put dirty ones in a hamper. Could you pay them to do some laundry and run the dishwasher? I can tell you working 12 hours coming home exhausted I have picked clean clothes out of the hamper (that had clean folded clothes but not put away.) to put on .

I agree "the don't look there" got me laughing. But like the othet comments say whoever is watching these kids could atleast cleanup alittle. Or you know the older ones could start having chores. Picking up toys, making their bed. A cute song from Barney (repeated 3 times) Clean Up! Clean Up! Everybody, Everywhere Clean Up! Clean Up! Everybody do your share At the very least the 6 year old should know how to pick up toys after playing. 13 hour shift and a house like that, I would be too exhausted to keep going like that. Especially with a job like yours.

We waited until my sons were about two so that they understood and participate in what was going on. The clean ones were always sitting in the dish rack on the counter after being sterilized. He would see them, roughly about six or seven then as he would lose one we would never replace it. he could see that he was running out, when it came down the last one it took about a month, but by that point, it was pretty easy and would give him other things like his favorite blanket with satin on the edges. There were a few rough nights and naps, but we would show him that his binkies/ pacifiers were all gone.

Hang in there! You could start a new nighttime routine as a comfort such as classical music, all night on repeat. Soft music like Baby Mozart while rocking and removing the pacifier. Then lower the volume every night just a bit. Also might want to lay baby on their stomach if you're comfortable with that, but take everything out of the crib. I hope you give it some thought and try what works for you. ❤

Wonder who was taking care of them that left scattered dirty diapers around and spilled drinks on the floor, a total disarray of toys and dirty clothes … are the children been really watched? Or just running wild?

    • @SweetOne.

It's not as bad as it seems, the house is clean, walls are clean, doors are clean, floors are clean, even the stuff that is strewn about is clean (except for a few cups and some diapers). The diaper thing.. that can be solved right quick and probably already has been. By the time he gets back to the first room he will have to start all over again lol but that can wait maybe read a story to the kids, put them to bed and then have a cup of tea.. the mess can wait. Probably the same for the person who had them for over 13 hours. some kids take their own diapers off to be found in random places too.. Time for big kid unders?
